HOW TO GET A FREE MEMBESHIP NUMBER IF YOU ARE NOT A SAM’S CLUB MEMBER – you are not becoming a Sam’s club member, you are only becoming a guest shopper, there is NO charge:

Go here and create an account, click Register To Shop: https://www.samsclub.com/sams/shoppingtools/invitation/registerToShop.jsp?dblclick=true&pid=_DoubleClick_Affiliates

Then go here and sign in again to see your membership number listed:
    https://www.samsclub.com/sams/account/signin/login.jsp?memberMess=true&redirectURL=%2Fsams%2Faccount%2Fmyaccount

Or if have a Sam’s Club account and don’t have your Sam’s Club card with you: For member number enter any 17 digit number that starts with 10142210 For example: 10142210654179654

someone use my number. told me i requested a sample already. dont just put any number in there . I dont know why that person would tell you to do that.

    • KittyC

That’s funny, I tested it by watching the video again and putting in my information and member number again to see if it would reject it as already requested but it still went through, so that must not be the problem. Additionally, the odds of someone randomly entering the exact same 17-digit number as someone else who requested the sample would be extremely slim, since only a fraction of members will actually request the sample. However, as my test proved, it doesn’t reject a second request from the same member number anyway.

      • Blair

This was smart,KittyC! Thanks for trying it out and letting us know:) People jump to conclusions too quickly when they don’t get their way nowadays.

I think that entering anyone’s member number is wrong to do, and there is a chance that your using someone else’s member number that is trying to get a sample. We PAY for our membership and its not right for someone to take advantage of that just because they don’t want to pay for it themselves! That’s why the title of this deal says (for SAMs club members only)

    • Angela

I agree with you. It seems wrong to enter any random number whether it’s someone’s else’s card or not. Just not right. We pay for this membership.

    • KittyC

But you don’t need to be a paid Sam’s Club member to shop there or online and get a member number to get the sample. The directions are provided on how to get a member number for those that don’t have one. Sam’s Club wants to encourage non members to shop with them and try their products.

      • Kc

You do have to have a membership or trial to shop there and get samples, and its fine if people sign up to get a sample but don’t suggest them to use someone’s membership number that someone paid for

        • KittyC

You don not have to be a member to shop at Sam’s Club. All you have to have is a guest shopper number – it is not trial that will expire. However, non- members who shop at Sam’s as guests are assessed a 10% service fee over and above Sam’s Club listed prices on all merchandise. Guest shoppers are still able to get samples with their guest shopper number. Also, no one suggested that anyone use someone else’s number. The suggestion was for Sam’s Club members who don’t have their card handy and would like to get the sample while available without having to sign up for a guest shopper number. It is an extreme mathematical improbability that an anyone would enter someone else’s 17-digit number, and even if it happened, the other member would not be harmed. You are making a mountain out of a molehill.

          • Kc

It’s just unethical to even put that up there no matter what the chances are of using someone else’s number. That’s what’s wrong with people today they just think its okay to do something if they can get away with it, but would you steal one’s member number if there was a greater chance of someone noticing and reporting it? Getting a trial member card or a guest card is way different then entering SOMEONE ELSE’S number!

            • KittyC

AGAIN, NO ONE IS ADVOCATING “STEALING” ANYONE’S MEMBER NUMBER!!!
