Does anyone know if this works for pretty much everyone, or is it a hit or miss if the store will have overlapping deals?

    • allison

You can call the store and see if they have activated their sales for Sunday yet.

  2. mel

The one time I tried, only the Sunday deal was working (It was a chip deal, they were on sale $1.99, then starting on Sunday BOGO. it was supposed to work out $1.99/2. But when I went, they were ringing up reg price of $3.49/BOGO) When I asked the cashier why they weren’t $1.99 b/c technically the current weekly sale wasn’t over, the cashier said it was one or the other, I couldn’t take advantage of both deals! whatever…
So I left. Haven’t tried since. Years ago, CVS used to let you double dip, then they stopped. I wouldn’t be surprised if this eventually happens at Walgreens too.

  3. Lin

I consider myself an expert of walgreens. The only way the dd works if NO price is stated on ONE or the OTHER weekly add. I think these will definitely work. I go around 3pm everything is reset already.

  4. jamie

I have $3/2 Nivea coupons from walmart, I will DEFINATELY have to go later this afternoon:)
@Lin-you’re right about the activation time.. I always wait till later Saturday afternoon to try.

  5. lineth

I just did the soothe Deal and Work fine
I bought 2 Tired Eyes Drops and 2 Soothe Hydration Eye Drops and also work.
    7.99 BOGO 50% off

I tried to get a deal last time at 11 p.m. in California it didn’t double dip. Should I be trying at 8 p.m. Before it hits midnight on the East Coast? And does it only work at 24 hour stores or all Walgreens?

    • Mitchell @ Frugal Finders

In my experience, it has never worked at my 24 hour store – only worked at my store that closes at 10pm.

  7. Mitchell @ Frugal Finders

I did the double dip on Soothe and Band-Aids today. I paid $1.90 and earned 11000 Balance Rewards points! My total savings was $76.18. 😀

    • Leticia

Would you mind sharing the band aid deal?

      • Mitchell @ Frugal Finders

They are $1.99 this week and certain varieties are giving 1000 points wyb 1. Next week some are giving 2000 points wyb 3. You get a free Walgreens first aid bag wyb 3 too.

I had $2/2 mfg coupons from a booklet found in CVS. I screwed up and bought a few that didn’t qualify for points, but it was still a good deal. 🙂

I just went to do the St. Ives double dip and it worked. The only odd thing is I got both 25% off, buy one get one half off, and earned (2) 2000 point rewards. So, I basically got two 24 oz bottles regularly $4.99 for $1.61 for both counting 4000 points. I am by no means complaining but I thought it was 2000 points for both.

    • anna

what st ives did you buy

  9. robin

I went to two different Walgreens and got a total of 10 eye drops. Cost me under a buck out of pocket because the registers beeped and I had to add a filler. Also earned 15,000 points!!!

  10. Monica

I just went and got the purelife vitamins for 14.99-$5 peelie coupon =9.99 and got 20,000 in points!!! $10.00 money maker!

    • Sue Donym

      Wow! You only bought one?

I wonder how that happened – makes me want to run out and find peelies! LOL 🙂

      • monica

Yep just one. I ran out to see if it worked lol going back soon

        • Sue Donym

Thank you for the heads up, Monica! I ran out and got 4 different boxes (2 different types) of purelife vitamins and got them all free – plus I made $40!

WOO! Now to figure out what to do with the 140,000+ points I’ve accumulated. 😀 It’s going to be fun figuring out how to spend this without buying things that give back points.
