actually, all coupon has same bar code, so you can use those coupons whether you get them or not.
They might have the same code but they will def beep for the ones that were not sent to them…it will then be upto the cashier whether or not to push it through.
I didn’t receive one this week or last week either. But there’s still a lot of good deals, so I’m heading over there this afternoon.

Apparently its a generic bar code, but it still might have to be registered to your card
these coupons are NOT meant to be shared, generic or not. It says in the fine print
“CVS Will not accept offers printed from unauthorized internet postings… it is intended for use by the ExtraCare cardholders who subscribe to the CVS/pharmacy email program and received this message directly from CVS.”
If CVS wanted it to circulate, they would have posted it on their site or FB.
Point taken! I usually don’t get the emails until 6-24 hours after everyone else, so I appreciate when this is posted and I can go on my usual shopping trips when the codes are generic (has never beeped for me and I always eventually get the email – with only 24 hours to use it, I think its because my last name is at the end of the alphabet). CVS could use different barcodes like they do for the %off coupons sent on Thursdays, but I agree they shouldn’t have to since the fine print is as clear as it is. No need to “bite the hand that feeds you”.

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to be mean. Its just that years ago (IDK how long you’ve been CVSing), they used to send out email coupons and the links would get posted b/c CS said it was OK to share them. Well, you know how things spread like wildfire on the ‘net!! Eventually they pulled the $/$$ coupons, for almost a year, I guess to recover from the hit (if 20,000 ppl get emails and 60,000 coupons redeemed, that’s ALOT of money there were giving away!!) Slowly they started sending out card specific coupons, sometimes they are generic #s. I would hate for them to pull these coupons again b/c of ‘net circulation just b/c of the thought that its OK b/c it doesn’t beep.
I don’t think its b/c your last name is at the end of the alphabet that you gets yours later, its whatever batch you’re in. I’m a “r” and I got my coupon around 8 am. My sister is an “m” and she got hers a few mins ago. Last wk, it was reverse, my sister got hers hours before I did.
I don’t think you were being mean, I didn’t even think twice to re-post when I saw it posted on another site (without reading the fine print). But I totally agree with you, if people don’t follow the rules then these perks will continue to disappear.

I got this last week, but did not use it…ikes…I forgot.
My store takes CVS coupons up to 7 days after the expiration date. You can always ask at your store.

So weird, I tried to use mine today (from last week), and it is not for my card, the numbers don’t match.

This coupon can’t be used on sale/promotional merchandise. Does anyone know if I can use it on items are not on sale but has ECB rewards? The spend $12 on CVS hair care and get $4 ECB deal?
Hi, I used last week’s email ECB on the CVS brand deal and it went through fine. I’m not sure of exactly what the “sale/promotional items” listed in the fine print refer to, but it seems crazy that the $3 ECB would exclude literally everything in this week’s flyer.
It says in the fine print that it’s not good for sale/promotional items… has anyone tried to use it on a sale item?? I am pretty sure I used mine last week on a sale item and it worked, but I don’t remember reading the fine print. Also, I just got my email with the coupon less than an hour ago, so I think some people just need to wait and see if it shows up!

I was wondering the same thing about sale items. I don’t remember seeing that on the last coupon. I was thinking of using it for a greeting card since those rarely go on sale…
it was stated on the last week’s coupon that it was not to be used on sale/promotional items….

I got this 1 & last week also. Had problems using this 1 today at the same cvs I went to last week; last week they took it off from my phone, no problem, this week, the cashier refused to honor it from my phone aka not printed out. So I left that cvs & went to another 1, where they took it from my phone, no issue… Annoying.
It says in there coupon policy they don’t except coupons off phones.
I work a retail job also & we take coupons from phones (as long as they’re not expired/they haven’t been redeemed already, the computer “knows” based on the barcode, store coupons that is)…not only that, but the store mobile coupons never scan & us employees have to manually type in all 25 #s, which is very annoying when customers have mutiple coupons. This is all done for customer service & maybe that particular cashier in cvs needs to be re-trained on the CS end of things.
Nicole, look at the CVS corporate policy it states they don’t take coupons that are from/on a phone! It plain and simple. The cashier is right. No need reschool them in thier own policy..

Lol. You can argue w/ me all you want & spend your time to copy & paste the corporate “policies”, but again, I work retail (do you?). Their so called policy should be reviewed by corporates who have no idea what it’s like to work in an actual store w/ actual customers; this coupon should at least have the option to “send to card” or print out from the coupon machine if its that big of a deal to that cashier & to you, or maybe it should be valid longer than 2 days so I wouldn’t have felt a need to use it today when most likely I won’t get a chance tomorrow or Wed. I will remember your comments tomorrow when I’m sure I will have customers w/ expired store coupons & store coupons on their phone…
You can say your work in retail all you want. That has nothing to to with CVS!!! Every store is different. As for expired store coupons, if a managment memeber will them, thats up to them!! Ask CVS on thier facebook and see what they say.

Along with everyone else, I don’t recall if last week’s coupon prohibited the use on sale items. I purchased a bag of Hershey Kisses last week for $3 even and the coupon went through no problem.
Just looking at their ad this week and I prefer Wags. But a free $3 is still a good.

I got it this morning, and also last week…on top of the 30% off coupon that I got last week and also received a $5 ECB for doing a survey through CVS Advisor 🙂 Really loving CVS so far, lol. I just started couponing in the beginning of this month and having a lot of fun so far, and hubby is liking the free stuff!
