What Happened to My Hair & Hello Family from Texas
My low this week may seem a bit silly as it is simply the fact that I chopped off my hair earlier this week. And if you’re a woman who has ever cut off a significant amount of hair, you can likely relate to that feeling of “Oh my gosh – Why did I chop off my hair?!” that you almost always experience a few minutes after leaving the salon. However, I am happy to report that I am starting to like this short cut of mine much more than I did at first – one plus is that it is super easy to style. 🙂
My high this week was spending lots of quality time with my husband’s family from Amarillo, Texas. They drove all the way to Idaho with their 2-year old son and spent the last 5 days with us. We had so much fun showing them around Boise- taking them swimming and hiking, playing cards, telling stories, and just hanging out. Shhh – we are secretly hoping that they will move here permanently so we did our best to make them fall in love with Boise (which isn’t hard to do!).

From someone who never lets her hair grow very long- I get the pixie bug very often and either go get it cut or go to my bathroom and chop it off- YOU LOOK AWESOME! I wish more women cut their hair in cute new ways- it looks adorable!

Looks great on you & you look so much like my sister-in-love in that pic, who I love & is also in ID. 🙂 Also needed my hair cut really bad, and instead of something like the usual-got a good 2-3″ cut. Haven’t had it this short for a long time. Not as short as yours, although I used to wear mine short! Yours looks wonderful-A New You!!!
The pixie cut! Honestly not every one can pull it off! So Collin you look fabulous! When I chopped off my hair my husband told me I had a big face. I’m glad he was honest with me. I since then let my hair grow and he likes it better that way. Your face is perfect for that hair cut.

I love your hair Collin. It’s really a good style for you. I’ve been wearing mine really short for the past few years. I have a small face and straight, thick, limp hair and short works best for me.

I love your hair, Collin! It looks so cool and summery. I just had mine cut short and now with 110 heat index here in Hot Springs, Arkansas….I am enjoying it so much.
The hair cut is super cute! Every time I cut mine its at least 10-12in. It takes about a year for it to get that long again.
That’s an awesome and super cool haircut, I think everyone would love it.

Love your hair! Anytime you do a major cut, it definitely takes time to get used to it, even when you like it. I did a major cut (about 10 inches off) almost 2 months ago, and I still hate it lol. Just above my shoulders now, but way shorter than I intended. I swear it’s almost the same cut that I got last time, which made me swear I’d never cut it again lol. Oh well, that’s life. It does grow back, no matter how painfully slow lol. I wish I could pull off your hair! I have this weird thing where I always need my ears covered lol. Maybe one day! Yours looks amazing & fresh & seems to really suit you!

Would you ever consider growing it long and then donating it to a charitable cause with its usage for wigs for kids with cancer?
I am having my hair cut tomorrow (about 12 inches hopefully!) to support a local gal who is holding an event for this very purpose this weekend here in beautiful British Columbia! She is actually shaving all her hair off for this event! I have done it a few times but never so brave to have my head shaven bald so I applaud her for her altruistic reverence for this cause which I hold dear to my heart too. It is heartbreaking to see a child ill…efforts to help in any way are always appreciated a million fold.

I love the hair!!! I am a fan of short hair (well, for some). I like when ladies break the mold of long hair, and go out on a limb and cut it!!! Way to go girl!!

organization that makes wigs for those with cancer. I know what you’re going through, but I also know that it WILL grow back! 🙂 That’s the beauty of hair!
I did the same thing about two weeks ago and it was a shock and now I love it as I do yours. Mine is not as short as yours but still. My hair was past my shoulders and now it is just above my collar. My up is our oldest is coming home only for a week from college and I am so excited. Good luck with the hair and it looks great.

I soooo wish I could pull one off- my face is to round! 🙁 I will never be able to have hair shorter than my shoulders. Plus, I’m able to cover my hearing aids with longer hair- I’m not self conscious of them I just don’t like when people see them and feel the need to talk louder!!! Normal speaking voice unless we’re in a loud place, please. I’m reading your lips anyway- it’s just easier 🙂

Low: Barefoot in the dark Lego stepping! My kids are really good about cleaning up- a tan one got left in the carpet–may need to do a color blindness test on the oldest boy. That’s on the agenda for today

Hey Collin. Love your hair!!! I recently cut mine similar but I had to ease my stylist into it. She wouldn’t cut it that short at first so i cut off like 6″ into a bob, then short. Your right-much easier to fix. Tell your Texas family we are getting GOOD rain in Amarillo, so maybe it will be green when they get home.

Very cute! We have similar hair and this week I went short as well…..think Pink’s Faux Hawk short…my just turned 16 year old daughter nearly had a heart attack…….so I have had a few minutes where I wonder where my mind was when I decided to chop…but then I let her show me how she likes me to style it…threatened her with the faux hawk if there is any misbehaving this school year and then reminded her and myself…it’s just hair..it will grow…
