If you rent from a Kiosk in a Giant store, you get a code for a free rental in your receipt! I literally just rented a movie about 2 hours before this post (using the $.50 code from their email) 🙁 But… Now i have codes for TWO free rentals! 3 rentals for 71 cents?! AWESOME!

Sounds like an awesome night!.. a little jealous. Here in Texas, it is still running around 100 degrees. Way too hot for patio time yet, even in the evenings.
A note for users: When you return your Redbox disc, make sure you select the option to receive an email confirmation. My husband and I have used 5 or 6 of these free Redbox codes and never had a problem until a couple weeks ago. I returned the movie and thought everything was fine until a month later when a $26 credit card charge appeared from Redbox. Their customer service is AWFUL! They claimed we never returned the movie and since we didn’t have an email to prove that we did, there was nothing they could do for us. I Googled this problem and apparently it is very common. We are never using Redbox again after being treated poorly by their customer service, but just a heads up to always get the email confirmation!
Courney that’s horrible! I actually had a really positive customer service experience with them. I was watching a disk, and its started skipping and freezing up. I chatting online with one of their representatives, and they sent me 2 codes for free rentals. I’ll have to check my receipts more carefully now.
I always get a positive experience with their customer service too. Whenever I return the disc I do click on the option “receipt will be send on your email” , and waited until I can see the main screen again before I leave the kiosk
I know sometimes the disc comes back out for some reason or another. I have seen and heard others talking about how they would walk up to a kiosk and just take the disc for a night or two to watch the movie. This could have been what happened. I like the others have had nothing but great things to say about their customer service.
I agree with the reply comments…nothing but positive experience with customer service. Maybe your disk came out and you didn’t see it and walked away?
One time, my husband didn’t want to use our phone number when he rented it, so when i returned it, it didn’t recognize the account…I called the 1800 number there and then, the rep found which kiosk i was at and we worked it out in less than 5 minutes..I was very impressed!
I agree with Courtney. This is unacceptable. If you have not returned a movie you should have an automatic message each day for the amount you will be charged for this day. At least a reminder each week. Is redbox really thinking that a person will keep a movie for a week. How long am I supposed to keep my confirmation return emails. A year? In addition to that one time the movie I returned came out of the kiosk 3 minutes later. DON”t walk away in case you get the Thank you screen.
I also had an email from Redbox today titled “Now at Redbox…Plus a little more.” It included a code for $1.20 off any dvd or game rental through the 15th and could be used at the kiosk or at redbox.com.
We tried to use the code this evening and it said that it couldn’t process the code right now. Is the code dead? Or, was that machine just having issues?

I rented “Now You See Me” with this code yesterday. Great movie and I love free rentals!
Well I have had good and neg. experience, so, all I know is I still rent frombredbox. I will say they should have more codes put out.
