    cant combine coupons…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Coral!

Actually, the Family Dollar Coupon policy found here states that you can use one manufacturer’s coupon and one Family Dollar coupon per item in a transaction. Yay! 😀

      • Terri Harrison

It also states • Duplicate coupons in one transaction are accepted as long as there is an item purchased for
        each coupon.

      • Elina Liedes

I did two no problem combined coupons. She did two separate transactions

        • DianeNC

Elina – the Family Dollar coupon, itself, states “Limit one item per coupon per visit,” (not per transaction), so even though they did two separate transactions for you, it was wrong. (And left none for others, like myself.)

  2. Michele Rizzolo

Ya they have changed there coupon policy. can’t combine coupons if it’s going to make the item FREE!!! 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am not seeing anything in the Family Dollar Coupon Policy indicating that they prevent the use of a store coupon and manufacturer’s coupon if it makes the final cost of an item free. Is this something that your specific store has implemented?

      • Roma

I tried this but they refused, as computer was taking either $2.50 or $1 manufacture coupon but refusing to take both. So I walked out with out buying it:( Good luck to others.

        • Miami Gardens

I went this this morning to one store and they refused. I went to another store one minute away and they took both coupons no problem. They adjust the manufacturer coupon to $.98, which made the total coupon $3.48, which equal $0 plus tax.

      • DianeNC

Collin is correct. Their coupon policy, which can be found on their website, specifically states, ” “Coupons can be redeemed if the value of the coupon is greater than the price of the item. In this case, the value of the coupon will be discounted to match the price of the item.”

    • Family Dollar girl

I work for them…their coupon policy has not changed. my district manager sends emails all the time saying that we need to accept coupons because he is tired of complaints. I don’t know why they are rude about it. its not like coupons hurt the store. they drive sales

  3. Ashley57

Good luck to those who try this…even though it is in their coupon policy, my Family Dollar does not let me combine coupons. I wrote corporate, and never got a response. I have never gone there again, and that was over a year ago.

  4. Mrs. Waller

Thanks for the reminder! I’ve been waiting for this all week!

    • Mrs. Waller

I don’t shop at Family Dollar very often, but my store is very good about letting me combine coupons. I’ve never had any problems and they love to see customers get such great deals! I hope this works for everyone! 🙂

  5. Deanna

IS there a limit on how many coupons can be used? Like, can I use two of each and pick up 2 free packs of detergent?

  6. brandice

Just did this with no problems at my local FD store in Decatur,Ga!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Woo Hoo! Thanks for the update, Brandice! 😀

    • irene

The one in Oakhurst? They’ve been good with Qs so far.

      • brandice

        No ..
The one near Dekalb Medical on church street ;)….hello my fellow Atlanta/Decatur Ga neighbor

        • irene

Small world! 🙂 Didn’t realize there’s a FD there. Sad to see the whole shopping center going away in the future. Walmart in development. 🙁

          • Mourrene

Sweet! I’m near Stone Mountain so I’m going to try it. I usually don’t do FD coupons but I need to increase my laundry detergent stockpile. Is Irene saying that Suburban Plaza is being torn down? Real bummer. Used to love the Piccadilly over there!

            • crystal@Atlanta

Hi ,everyone i am down the street from you guys on Rockbridge rd…I will pass on this deal too many issues with FD !!

  7. Deanna

Even if they only let you use one coupon, 99 cents is still a pretty good deal if you need laundry detergent!

  8. brandice

Used the code they sent me via mobile and the manf q no beeps!!!

    • Mrs. Waller

      Yayy! So excited! Thanks!

  9. happymama

My family dollar allows me to use both. When I run into issues with coupons, I try a different location.

  10. Jen

My family dollar won’t take any coupons! They absolutely refuse!

  11. Tanisha

If you can’t take these to Family Dollar, you can use these coupons at Meijer. They accept competitors coupons in conjunction with manufacturer coupons. I’m going to go try it today to see if they will still do it. Worth a try for free laundry detergent though lol 🙂

    • April

not sure but I think Wegmans will take competitors coupons

  12. Rachael M.

The FD coupon is for size 50+ oz….highly doubtful it will be free with q and mq.

    • Mark

The picture above shows the 50oz being on sale for $3.48, so yes it would be free after both coupons!

    • Mrs. Waller

The ad includes the 50 oz liquid in the sale. 🙂

  13. Caroline

where is mq? I can’t find it. I followed Collin’s link, but it only has a board about “Autumns”.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Caroline!

To snag the $1/1 coupon, head to the All Free Clear Facebook page, click on The Autumns tab and then click on the Reed’s Allergen Test (across the top) and take the Reed’s Allergen Test quiz. Hope that helps! 😀

      • TJ

I went to print this coupon and the expiration date is for 11/17/2013, will FD still accept this?

        • Sally

Right now it’s only October, so yeah…

          • phommbomb

Oh my goodness, complete MOMMY BRAIN! Ignore my stupid comment. I’m sorry!

          • CourtneyAmanda

            LOL!!

      • Sally

The coupon still does not load btw. It says get my coupon and a blank page appears.

        • Family Dollar girl

mine took forever to load but eventually it showed up.

      • Kacee

I am having trouble finding it. Help?! on FB

  14. Valerie

Going to give it a try!

  15. Jen

I am done fighting with stores and the cashiers over their own coupon policies; either they are aware of them or they are not. I am still finished arguing the point with them. It’s just too stressful when I can easily just shop another store that will happily take my coupons and/or money instead.

  16. Lindsey

The text says limit 1 item per coupon per visit. So I took that as you cannot use this mobile coupon with a manu coupon. They changed the wording after the sparkle paper towel text.

  17. markiesluv

Didn’t know we had a Family Dollar in our area. Found out we have 2. I went to get the sparkle towels last time and they were out. They evidently let customers have as many as they want so the same lady filled her truck up at both store in our area. Glad they feel the customer is always right but maybe limit her to one store to clean out………….I hope she is sharing!!!

    • Lindsey

yeah I saw on instagram where people were filling their cars with paper towels. Some people got 10-20 and left none for anyone else. No need for all that especially since the coupon said limit 1.

      • melissa

I ran into the same problem at my family dollar in lower Michigan, paper towels cleaned out, and this morning the all -gone. There is a gal that goes to all the stores and wipes them out. she was boosting to the clerk on where she had been and where she is heading.

    • Veronica

I’m confused. I thought you could only print 2 of their coupons per computer? Do they have tons of computers or how are they able to buy 10-20?

  18. beauty41

Does anyone know if you can get more than one bottle at a time? Per transaction/visit?

    • beauty41

Ok, nevermind seems only one per visit. Thanks for the post! 🙂

  19. kasey

It worked at mine. She just needed to adjust the FD coupon to 2.48 instead of 2.50. Torally free. You have to do more than 1 transaction to get more than 1 bottle

  20. Andrea

Crap! I’m at work and I have the feeling all the coupons will be gone before I can get to a printer. Happy Shopping to all who can snag this deal 🙂

  21. johan

i need help i dont see the coupon

  22. Niki

I just went to my family dollar and this deal worked. The only catch is that you can only do 1 bottle per transaction because of the store coupon. I did 2 transactions and it worked perfect. 🙂

    • Elina Liedes

      Me too. Love free

  23. Laurie Lee

FYI… The Family Dollar coupon policy is printed on the counter at checkout. It is exactly the same as the coupon policy Collin linked to above.

  24. Katelyn

The family dollar near me doesn’t take online printed coupons..sad day 🙁

  25. charissa

I tried this deal at two different family dollar stores. Unfortunately if you use the manufacture coupon the register automatically voids the $2.50 instore coupon code. It does this because of the .02 cents overage. I ended up paying .98 cents per bottle.

    • Shelley

The policy states they can mark down a manufacturer coupon to match the price.

  26. KB

Actually the coupon policy states specifically “Coupons can be redeemed if the value of the coupon is greater than the price of the item. In this case, the value of the coupon will be discounted to match the price of the item” Which means even though there is a 2 cent overage, they should just adjust one of the coupons down by 2 cents and manually enter it.

  27. Shelley

Went armed with the coupon policy expecting issues….had none! Free detergent! Can I get a Woot! Woot!?

    • Mrs. Waller

      Woot Woot! Lol!

      • Shelley

        lol 🙂

    • brandice

      Is this shelley from mysavings.com

  28. Diane G

Not on sale in Decatur IL … $5 🙁

    • Adria

Your from decatur!?!? I’m from mt.zion!!

  29. sam

Where did you see it for 3.48? My family dollar has it still for 5.50.

    • Deanna

It’s on the last page of their weekly ad. You should bring it in and show them!

      • sam

I think this sale is regional because I can’t fins it.

    • Sandra

It’s in their super sale ad, go to familydollar.com and click weekly ads and it’s the first ad on the last page, sale paper ends Saturday October 19th.

    • Shelley

Listed in the sales ad for this week. You should be able to view it online.

  30. Sandra R

Hoping it works at my store, I don’t shop there, have no clue how the cashiers will be! Got Qpon policy in hand and 4 coupons 2 $1 and 2 $2.50! If you see a white page on their autumn family page, just keep refreshing.

  31. Sandra

  32. Jessica Goolsby

This is awesome!! I just ran out of detergent and ALL is all I use! Perfect timing 🙂 Thanks!

  33. BRITTANY

Our local Family Dollar stores to not let you combine coupons. They have gotten very rude when I question them about it, even showing them the policy. I no longer stop there because of this.

  34. Tiffany

Good luck everyone! I live in a smaller area of central florida, and am pretty sure there’s not an overkill of couponers here because I usually never have a problem getting deals and clearence sticks around for a while, however, I just left my family dollar and the cashier told me that there was a line out the door at 730am. I said, wow, all for one bottle of laundry soap lol she said it was like black Friday! That’s crazy

  35. cindy

Went and I was able to use both and it was FREE!!!

  36. ThatWordChick

My Family Dollar (South Main Street, Winston Salem NC) tried to do both coupons and their system bucked after the manager scanned the manufacturer’s coupon. I do my best not to be a pain in the backside, but I knew she could override it but didn’t. I just paid .97 for it, but it was a little irritating. You can’t tell me that FD, as a company, doesn’t anticipate this with a fairly new manufacturer’s coupon floating around – they should either send a memo to the stores or change the wording on their offer so it isn’t a gamble making the haul across town, in my opinion.

    • Courtney

I’m in Rural Hall! I just went to the Rural Hall location and they are completely out.I am on the hunt now.

      • ThatWordChick

*waves from WS* Hello, fellow NCer! Sorry yours was sold out…mine was very low but I managed to snag two bottles.

    • Angir

They did send a memo. At least my store received it. When I went to check out, the cashier had to get another cashier to help her adjust the coupon and while they were doing it, they were chatting about the memo and how it had instructions on how to make it work.

      • ThatWordChick

Maybe your store needs to have a word with mine, then, haha!

  37. Brianne

I was unable to print coupons because my computer is in the shop getting fixed & I cannot print the bricks coupons from my iPad. I could have ran all over town to print them from family members computers, but my time is worth more than that, so I went to FD & grabbed 12 bottles at $0.98 each ($1.05 each with tax) with the text code. Still a great deal for laundry detergent! I LOVE FD text deals! When they had $1.50 off FD bleach last week, there wasn’t a size restriction so I grabbed the smaller bottles that were priced $1.65 each, so I got 16 bottles of bleach for $2.57 with tax! My store is great about accepting coupons & letting me do multiple transactions.

  38. Brandy

Just went to my Family Dollar here in St. Louis. They have the ALL on sale – the 40 oz. size. Since the coupon is for 50oz. or larger, I couldn’t get the deal. The next size is 90 oz. and is on sale for $9.90. Did anyone else come across this?

    • Elina Liedes

The sixty ounce its what u want.

    • Kacee

I am also in St. Louis, what store did you go to? I went to the three in my area this morning and was able to buy one bottle at each. However, each store I went to only had one bottle.

  39. MZICEE

Due to limited stock, we were only allowed to get 1 per customer and I got the last one!! The cashier would not let me us the $1 mfc and $2.50 fdq but she did allow me to use the .75 mfc that expires on 10/20, so I paid .23 plus tax!!

  40. Stacy

Was at Family Dollar when the store opened, no detergent. I was told they were not putting any more out. Ok I went to another, same story. Then over heard associated stating no more would be put out until tomorrow, and the coupons would be expired and could not be used. If this company does not want to honor their coupons then they should not offer these deals.

    • Lynn

WOW! Unbelievable! Do they not want business?!

  41. Kellove

OMG that was amazing!I walked in there, there was some difficulty ringing it up,but I got it for free!Combining the manufacturer coupon with the store’s coupon was troublesome for the store’s computer but it is a fairly new store and ultimately I was able to do it.Thanks to an awesome, friendly manager. 🙂

  42. June

They have to manually adjust down the $1 Q to .98. I went to several stores and all let me do several trans (we have tons of family dollars!) Paid $3.17 for 15 bottles!!!! Used $1 and .75 Q’s!! Whoohoo! My mom and I split this and are so excited!

  43. Donna

Thank you, Collin! Worked for me in VA!

  44. Lynn

No problems at all—got two of them. I paid only 12 cents (tax) for both. Very happy!

  45. Casey Pisciotta Gunn

What I don’t understand is 1 item per coupon per visit. The cashier said I am only allowed to use the coupon once. So I can’t buy two bottles. So, does it mean, I have to walk in and out a couple times to use it. Sounds crazy?! Or does it take 2.50 off per bottle if you are buying more than one? Thanks

  46. Lynne

I went to my local FD at 10am in Michigan . The store clerk said that there was a line out the door as soon as the store opened in the morning. The detergent sold out within minutes. 🙁

  47. Paul

I was out running errands around town. So, I decided to visit both of my area stores. The one near Rite Aid only had the All Oxy-Active Stainlifter in 50 oz. I gave it a try and it worked, with the Family Dollar coupon. I didn’t try to use a manufacturer coupon, to avoid any possible bother. I was happy paying the $1.02 + tax, because it was still an awesome deal, for me. The second store was fully stocked. But, none of their bottles were 50 oz. So, I didn’t get a bottle there. Looks like the minimum sized bottle of All they will be stocking is 60 oz and this coupon might be their way of getting rid of the smaller bottles. I have to say, it’s actually nice to see an increase, instead of a decrease, in package size these days. Though, they may just jack up the price, once all the older packaging is off the shelves. Great marketing ploy, though – LOL

  48. LISHA

Not on sale in NYC. I went to 2 FD’s.

  49. Vivian

Great, got it, but for 50 cents, though free would be better.
No one in my city seemed to know about it as I was the only one buying it!

  50. michelle

Just came from the one here in Jacksonville Florida and had the manager tell me and my friend we could only buy one bottle period . Not each but 1 between us because we came in the store together. I told her that is stupid we are 2 different people she said oh well. Left went to another store they were sold out so we went back and I got a bottle and she did. Manager rang me up and THREW my change at me. I said something about her attitude and said I would be calling district manager she said GOOD. This is why I don’t shop Family Dollar they have no customer service because they just don’t care about it. Now that is not all of the employees but most of them.
