homemade butterfingers
I posted this yummy and super simple recipe last year (which got rave reviews!)… so I thought it was definitely worth a re-post for those of you who may have missed it (or those of you who are just in need of a chocolate fix!). This homemade recipe requires only 3 ingredients and is incredibly easy to whip up. You’ll just need candy corn, peanut butter, and chocolate candy coating.

Oh and before making this recipe, I want to warn you… so don’t say I didn’t. One word sums up this stuff – addicting. Very addicting. So addicting that it may become a problem. A serious problem.

I made these after you posted this recipe last year. SO yummy! I take the lazy route and just pour the chocolate over the candy/pb and cut them as bars. Thanks for the reminder about this…I’ll definitely be picking up some clearanced candy corn!

Just a quick note you can buy candy corn at dollar tree for $1 without having to wait for the after halloween clearance 🙂

My husband said he might have a sugar attack from this one! I will try it….. all by myself!

I made these a couple times last year. I have the hardest time getting the candy corn to melt. This year I melted it a few minutes by itself and then added the peanut butter. I think it melted more evenly with the peanut butter. Also I used my electric mixer this time around too. Great recipe Collin. I’m in Love with it 😉

Now, are these more addictive than regular butterfingers? Or are they just dangerouse because I’ll have a few pounds of them in my possesion? 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Definitely because you’ll have a few pounds of them in your possession! 😉

I made these last year & they are really good. I used a candy mold and it was so much easier than dipping the bars. You just put a thin coating of chocolate in your mold and put them in the fridge until hardened and press your butterfinger mixture in and top with more chocolate. They pop right out of the mold after a few min. in the fridge and look really pretty.

We have a peanut allergy here. Do you think it would work w/ sesame seed butter? (I know it would change the taste a bit – although sesame seed butter tastes almost the same as peanut butter)

    • Mary

Yea I’m thinking about trying it with dairy free chocolate for my dairy allergy… I haven’t had a butterfinger in a very long time

    • Savin Girl

There’s a really yummy soy butter by I. M. Healthy I just found. Says peanut free on the label. Normally a little over $5 a jar, but I found some on clearance at Kroger and I think it tastes a lot like peanut butter.

Thanks! My daughter’s favorite candy bar is Butterfinger. She will love making these at home!

Somehow I don’t think this would fly on my sugar free diet that I’m on right now, LOL. Looks good though.
