I was wanting to ask the same thing. If I buy the paper towels today and get a catalina can I use it tomorrow when I buy the toilet paper? I know I can, but will it print out the catalina for the toilet paper or will using it make my catalina not print?

Second best to Bounty. They feel more like charmin toilet paper to be precise. Towel like soft and not the cheap rough surface like Scott. HTH
according to my daughters science experiment they were the most absorbent by a long way of any brand she tested…brawny, bounty, store brand, viva…viva won all 5 trials

Just got back from doing the viva deal….no $2 coupon at my store but still awesome! Also if you buy a $25 kmart gc, you get a $5 bonus gc. I bought the gc first and used it to buy the paper towels.
You also get 2000 bonus points when you buy the gift card (on top of the $5 bonus GC). Paid $2.97 for 3 packs of Viva (didnt use any manu coupons) and got $4 catalina.
I just went and bought the $25 gift card and got the bonus $5 card. My receipt does not show the 2000 bonus points. How do I know if I received those points?

I went and bought 6 of the $1.99 coke bottles, 3 paper towels and 2 packs of the Joe Boxer socks to get to a $25 total. When the cashier scanned my coupons they did not double. Customer service said that it was because the paper towels were on sale? Has anyone heard this before?
No, it’s because you have to purchase $25+ in groceries, health and beauty. The paper towels counted but the socks did not.
Oh man that stinks. I was not aware of that. I wish the cashier would have been informed of their policy and told me. I would have grabbed a few other items. Lesson learned. Thank you!

Yes, they do! I rolled mine over and over (used store coupon, but no man. coupons). I had to add 50-70 cents clearance items (hair accessories) to bring my total to $4 and then used my $4 catalina and paid 25 cents. Did that 5 times. Amazing deal! Gave every single Viva pack (15) to a family that’s having a rough time financially—just put them on the porch with a note. 🙂

What state are you from? Ugh I went to 2 k marts asked about the $2 dollar coupon and they all looked at me like I was crazy. What did you ask for?
The deal did not play out for me they told me the 3.99 ad price was with the instant savings already deducted
They were wrong. The register automatically takes off another $3 at the end of your transaction when they total it.
Just got back from Kmart and found the $2 off at the customer service counter. Bought 3 Viva, $3.00 was not automatically deducted but the supervisor deducted it anyways, used the $2 off, paid $3.33, and got $4.00 catalina. did two transactions.
The Catalina didn’t print for me. Between 4 bottles of purex & 3 paper towels my total was $4.78 after tax. Not entirely sure how it got that way, but I’ll take it as payment for the 25 minutes I patiently waited while they figured out what was going on. Kmart was a *hot* mess this morning!

My Kmart is horrible!! I went today to get the Viva only to find out that one person took 16 packs of the paper towels leaving the shelf empty. Not cool!!

There was also a deal on the 150 fl. oz. Purex detergents at HyVee. They were $3.99 and coupon.com had coupons for $1.50 off two. Bringing them down to $3.24 each, each of them doing 100 loads. Less than .03 cents a load. I don’t even think you can MAKE your own detergent for that much.

I had trouble using the Catalina after coupons on the second purchase. They said I could only use either the manufacture coupon or the Catalina but not both. Precisely why I never shop Kmart. Always a hassle!
I didn’t get the catalina and my coupons didn’t double since the gift card that I purchased with it didn’t count towards the purchase. I agree Bewbrc83 Kmart is alway a hassle.
I think you had to purchase the gift card separately and then use it to pay for the paper towels. Maybe?

The deal worked fine for me this afternoon. I purchased 3 packages of the Viva towels, used 2 1.00 manufacturers coupons, and it took the extra 3.00 off instantly. They didn’t have any of the 2.00 coupons, but was still a great deal.
I’m from NC, and my K-Mart would only let me use 1 manufacturer’s coupon on 3 packs of Viva paper towels. When the cashier tried to scan the coupons, it would only accept 1. I had $6.77 worth of points, so that helped. I did get the $4 Catalina, and I got the $3 instant reward.
Only thing I can think is that the register flags it as another coupon and only allows one coupon per item, so I would have to grab something as “filler” to make it work? I don’t know of anything that’s really cheap there though!

It seems to me like you didnt do the correct transaction. You have to purchase $25 gift card alone and get the extra $5. Then you go get your items and have to have $25 in household goods which includes food area, beauty and even baby supplies (diapers, wipes, etc.) for coupons to double. Some times I have issues but since I go there all the time and they know me, then I get some type of resolution with it whether a printout, discount, gift card, etc. If you aren’t loyal to these places with loyalty cards, then they are not loyal to you.
I know, it’s always a hassle at my store..they wouldn’t let me use more than one of the $2 tearpad coupons for cottonelle wipes..even though it stated up to 5. I just told them to void it all and left lol.
I gave one coupon for the Viva towels and that coupon took $2 off each pack, so maybe the Cottonelle one works similar? My cashier said it would take it off only once, I said I don’t think so as it states limit 5, asked if she could scan it and voila it took it off each package.
No Catalina coupon for me in fact my Kmart took the paper towels off the shelf. You had to go to the customer service desk to get it and they would not let you use the Kmart coupon.

Did you use the Catalina on each transaction with your coupons too? Mine wouldn’t allow the Catalina after coupons. Maybe scan the Catalina first?
You need a filler with the catalina. It counts as a coupon.
Usually I stay away from Kmart at all costs, but this was worth it. The deal worked fine for me, but at the register the hand scanner didn’t work & the pay pad was marked “broken.” Typical Kmart experience. Thanks for the post, however, because I do appreciate a good paper towel deal.
I went to my local Kmart(PA) and tried the Viva deal but, my $4 catalina didn’t print. They took my name and number and said the manager would look into it and get back to me. Hopefully I will get a call!
I went at 1 oclock today and the shelves where cleared of the Viva didnt get my deal but it was worth a try 🙂
For those that didn’t get the $4 Catalina coupon, you can email catalina here: https://support.catalinamarketing.com/ I have used this often. I always upload a scan of my receipt. I usually get the missing cat mailed to me in about 10 days. There is one register at the Safeway that I shop at that is broken and I forget about it until I don’t get the cat I was expecting. This way is much easier than calling.

I was able to get the paper towel for $0.09 but had to pay $6.00 for the Purex since cashier and manager wouldn’t let me use my $4.00 Catalina. Still a great price for everything.

After talking to the manager, she said they had been out for awhile but the manager would accept the picture of the coupon. She told the cashier to just type it in and I could use it as the terms stated! 🙂
thanks so much! I went and there was 1 $2 kmart coupon. When I checked out the one coupon took of $6 (2 for each pack!) so great! With my manufacturing coupons it was free and then I got a $4 catalina! Woohoo for better than free paper towels. Hoping I can use the cat tomorrow for tp. Anyone know if it will not print a cat for the tp if I use the cat from the viva tomorrow?
So….still here after an hour:) Not a single employee knew how to ring up the gift card deal, so they just issued them – didn’t want to fight over the points. Then, the register had the Catalina tape in the wrong way so no Catalina. Still waiting for it to get fixed……I am all about the good deals but this is why I don’t come to K mart anymore.

This should’ve been such a great deal, it’s really a shame that it seems at least at my Kmart no one knows how to do their jobs correctly. Such a fiasco. They didn’t have the $2 kmart Viva coupons, they didn’t know how to ring up the gift card, I went to check out and I had my coupons in hand waiting to hand them to her but instead she totaled the transaction then was mad that she had to get her manager to void the whole thing because she totaled it before she took my coupons. Then I asked her if I could use my points, and she of course didn’t know how. So I left without using my points, AND the best part, no catalina printed. I don’t think Kmart is worth the hassle. 🙁 🙁 🙁

As I was walking down the aisle to pick up 3 packs of paper towels I passed a woman with at least 20 packs stacked in the basket and under the cart. When I got to the shelf, there was not one pack left :(.

Amy, please check around the store. I could’ve very well been that lady you saw because I had a cart PACKED to the brim and spilling over. No, none were left on the shelf (none when I got there, either) but there was a HUGE display of them in one of the aisles that wasn’t anywhere near the paper towels. I left over 25 packs, and only bought as many as I did because one of the managers there (who showed me the display) said to take as many as I wanted because there was only 1 or 2 other couponers in town.
My K-Mart told me they would rain check these….and honor the $2.00 K-Mart Q..even though they will be expired! Probably wont get the Cat–but still not a bad deal!

Just went to my store in MN and someone went to the 2 stores locally and bought every SINGLE pack they had. I think it was the same lady, they said she bought about 8 0 packs. That is SOOO wrong if that was you, you should be ashamed. Leave some for other people.

FYI, at my Kmart, they told me the $2 Viva coupon starts on Tuesday 11/5. So if you’re not finding it at your store, that may be a region difference from some of the folks who found it. For reference, I’m in Northern California.
All of you that are using that $2.00 coupon along with any other coupons are committing fraud, that coupon clearly states not to be combined with any other coupon for the same item(s).
Some stores policies clearly state they take manufactures coupons plus their own. The stores are only getting reimbursed by the manufacturer ones. Therefore it is the companies choice & policy. I do not feel its fraudulent. Copying coupons or using multiple emails to get stuff..etc is fraudulent.
Can I get three Viva and three Cottenelle in a single transaction and receive $6 in automatic savings or does this need to be done in separate transactions? Thank you!
I had the coupon for the TP AND Wipes,, so I bought three of each together. It only took off $3.00 (Fo the rewards card) and only got 1 $3.00 cat…so might be better to do it in seperate transactions with different coupons

Got 6 packs of Cottonelle this morning, split it in 2 transactions (3 packs each). On first on used two $4 Viva catalina’s, paid $0.97 (3×3.99-$3-$8)and got $3 catalina back. Second transaction, used one $4 Viva catalina and paid $4.97 (3×3.99-3-4)and got $3 catalina back. Did not use any other manu coupons.

I went today and did two transactions with tp using my $4 viva cat and 2 manufacturing q’s in each. Got my $3 cat for tp after each! Then I took my two $3 cats and bought 3 bundles of Kleenex and got a $2 cat from Kleenex! Totally unexpected.

used (2) .50 coupon from 10/13 ss (1) $4 cat from viva (so I would not need a filler did not use another manufacturing q for tp)
got back $3 cat
transaction 2 was same as #1 since I did viva deal twice yesterday

used (2) $1 off Kleenex bundles, (1).75 off Kleenex bundles (1) kmart $2 viva coupon (took $4 off) and (2) $3 cottonelle catalina coupons
and got back a surprise $2 cat from Kleenex
