Thia, I’m not sure what reviews you read, but I have a similar model to this and I LOVE IT! It’s wonderful for daily traffic pick up.
You said it “similar model” but you don’t have THIS model. Performance varies from model to model – read customer reviews at amazon, I did and it changed my mind on THIS model.
I have this same one and I use it multiple times daily. I really have had no problems and even use it over carpet occasionally to spot clean. My mother-in-law owns the same one so I knew when I saw it this cheap I would have to buy it. I have only had mine a few weeks but she has owned hers for two years. I love the swivel which easily gets all the crevices around my sons highchair.
I read the reviews at Amazon for THIS model & they were all good…again what did I miss?
This was a big disappointment for me. I bought this when I moved into my new house because there is no carpeting and thought this would be perfect. I would say after 3 months the stick vac part stopped picking up even the smallest of crumbs. The handheld has always worked ok but I am pretty sure you can purchase a handheld cheaper.
Yep! That was the biggest complaint regarding this model. That’s why I did not purchase. Another complaint was about the battery life, after 15-20 minutes in use – the machine stopped working. Now that’s frustration – who needs more when trying to clean-up after everyone and pets. No thanks!
I have this and I like it. Its good for small jobs like the kitchen or den. Its works nice to pick something up but its not good for a huge mess. I also like that its cordless and can go anywhere.
Don’t know if I got it or not, checked out, then it just went to their web page, no confirmation. Hate to repeat, don’t want to get charged twice. 🙁
We have this one and it is a piece of junk. Don’t waste your $….
We also have this model. It is great for the few minutes it works! The charge does not last long at all. It is disappointing that they put so much into the design but then used a junk battery.
i have the same one from a year or two ago(grey and red) it’s HORRIBLE! don’t buy it. barely any suction and it doesn’t stay charged. i kept it for awhile just using the “dust buster part”…eventually threw the whole thing away. junk.
I bought one of these vacuums for around $100 which I think is pricey for a stick vac but my MIL had one too and loved it. However, the suction began to get weak after about 6 months and it quit working completely after about 9 months. I’ll never buy another one and don’t recommend it to anyone else. My MIL’s also quit working less than a year after she bought hers.
Sorry forgot to mention it’s because I had the $10 gift card that Walmart sent me due to the pricing error a few weeks ago. AND i get 5% cash back with my discover card. Anything you purchase online at a retail place is 5% cash back all of Nov-Dec. =) Great for the holiday purchases. If you want to open up a discover card, send me your email address, I can get you $50 =)
Don’t forget that you need to use up all the power before recharging. That way your battery lasts longer. I’ve had mine for a year and 1/2 now and it still runs awesome. Also, don’t forget to clean out your filter every time so that things don’t get stuck inside like lint and dust.
