    Okay, so after seeing this deal I decided to chance it and go to my local Best Buy store for this deal! I walked into the store and straight to the Computer/Tablet counter. There was one lady in front of me. When it was my turn I asked if I could purchase the iPad Mini + FREE $100 card deal? The cashier said yes! They had both the black and white iPad Minis in stock. I asked about purchasing a 2nd iPad Mini and here is what he allowed me to do: I purchased the 1st iPad Mini in a single transaction for $299 + I received the $100 gift card. He then allowed me in a separate transaction to USE THE $100 GIFT CARD to apply towards the purchase of the second iPad Mini!!!! Whoohooo!!!! And I also got a $100 gift card with that transaction as well. So I essentially paid $500 for the 2 iPad Minis and also had a $100 gift card in hand when I left the store. This just made my HOLIDAY!!!! Thanks so much Colin!!

    I ordered the iPad mini in space gray specifically because it was the only one listed as in-stock at my local store. Just called and they told me it’s on back order and I won’t have it until December 9th. I /guess/ that’s okay. 😛 I work retail, so I’ll try to be understanding. <3

    I had selected in-store pick-up selected. Then I got an email saying that my item was not yet available and to wait for another email. The email just said that the item is no longer available. I’m on hold now with 1-888-best-buy. I hope that they can grant it because I ordered it when it was still available.

      I am on hold as well, same situation! I will try my best to have them honor it even if they have to have it backordered. Fingers crossed!

        I actually got the confirmation email that it was ready for pick-up – went to the store and was told they completely sold out. HATE BestBuy.com – what’s the point buying it and reserving it if they let all the other iPads walk out the store … grrrr! Now have to figure out a way to reverse charges on my credit card since that’s already been charged … double grrr!

      Good luck #bestbuy has the worst customer service!! They tell you what you want to hear then when that doesn’t happen you go through the whole loop again and again.

    So I have a question – I bought it online when they still had stock, had my credit card charged and that stupid free protection plan is in my email waiting for me to download and received confirmation that it was ready for pick-up but got to the store just to be told they were completely sold out. Will they still somehow honor it? When I call customer service ( I’m still on hold) but they clearly state that they are completely sold out of the iPad mini. Do I hope for a miracle or go out and grab the same deal but at Walmart? I don’t want to go out tomorrow – was trying to avoid it hence the reason I jumped on this deal but don’t want to miss out on a great price for my husbands gift!!

      #bestbuy Don’t count on it, went through this drama with them last year. Learned my lesson the hard way, they talk and talk but do not follow through with what they say.

      I just got off the phone after a 35 minute hold time and 10 minutes talking with someone.. basically I was told your out of luck. Her advice was to keep checking online because they had the item on backorder but from what she said is they will not ship to the ones who have already ordered the product (STUPID!). So if you wasn’t able to pick up in store your pretty much not going to get the deal from what she was saying. I am fixing to email them, I received a email confirming the order was placed therefore best buy should honor that when they get more stock in.. How are we suppose to know we will actually get the deal and possible end up missing out at Walmart because of best buys mistake.

    I bought mine online when they still had it in stock and it was only available for pickup in store. So many hours later I got an email saying that its no longer available for pickup. Called customer service got through & was on hold then i got hung up on. Really who does that. (called back & is still on hold) I was hoping to not go through the hassle of waiting in line tomorrow but i guess i’ll have to if this problem doesn’t get solved.

    Ordered around 6 am after checking my best buy emails. My ordered shipped.

    Keep checking because it’s says two day special. So maybe tomorrow they will have more for people who didn’t snag this deal.

    its the same story here…..I ordered mine online at 7AM, when it was “in stock” and I could pick it up at the store. The store opens at 10AM here, and I was waiting for my “ready for pickup” email. IT NEVER CAME!!! I went into the store at 420PM only to be told that I cannot pick it up and have to wait for my email. Low and behold, I went to the parking lot, checked my email, and got the “Item unavailable for pickup”. I went back inside and was told that means they don’t have any, and Im out of luck. Yet, they allowed people in the store at opening to purchase them, even tho mine should’ve been reserved. Then when I said I wanted my Best Buy credit card refunded, the lady had the nerve to tell me I have to call from home on their 1-888 number. REALLY?? Im in your store, and I have to go home and take care of your screw up!!

    btw- the tech that canceled my order stated he couldn’t give me details but that they were having issues with the online site all day, and it had glitches going on. I also told him its illegal here in WI to sell and charge me for something you don’t even have in stock, he smugly stated that technically I wasn’t charged because it was never picked up.

    BOTTOM LINE…….I have had it with Best Buys horrible customer service, I will not spend one cent in any of their stores this holiday season! The store employees treat you like crap at the first sign you are not a happy customer, they don’t care about the customer…period. Best Buy corporate is so into putting stores inside of stores ( windows and google experience) that they could care less about teaching and practicing customer service.

    I use to love shopping at Best Buy, but after so many years of horrible service, id rather spend a little more and go elsewhere.

    Best Buy will decline because of these constant customer service issues, and will be just like Circuit City…..GONE

    I ordered mine this morning and was waiting for the email that I could go pick it up. Instead I received an email stating it was not available for pick up but I could check another store or request it to be shipped to my house. I was on hold for 15 min and talked to a very friendly man that is having it shipped to me. Hopefully that is what actually happens. I was excited not to have to fight the crowds at Walmart tomorrow so I’m OK if I don’t get it for a few weeks.
    Sorry to hear that is not the case for some of you.

    I called and they very nicely said they would ship it to me if I wanted (which is what I would have done in the first place if it had been available!) So I am skeptical that I will actually receive it, but I did receive an email that it was shipped to expedited shipping and I looked online and it has changed to shipping to home on the order. So I am hopeful!!!!!
