On a related note, I have to buy these for my nephew who is 9. I have NO clue what to get him when I look in the stores. Any help? Ate sone more for boys?

I teach second grade and the boys in my classroom wear them to school. hth

I have a 10 year old boy who enjoys making these for his friends. He uses all the colors (even pink, since some of his “customers” are girls!). He has bought several refill sets because he runs out of certain colors. I would think your best bet is to buy him a set with assorted colors (not just girly colors). The Rainbow Loom set starts you off with colors similar to the ones Collin posted here. Hope that helps!

Michael’s had them on sale yesterday 2.99 for 600ct when you buy 5 bags; use the 20% off entire purchase coupon and that’s not too shabby. I purchased a good supply yesterday for my nieces with the 30%coupon that was available. I prefer Michael’s because they have a wide range of colors to choose from and not multiple colors per bag.

I would just get him a set with an assortment of colors. My son has had to buy different refill kits when he runs out of certain colors. The Rainbow Loom set starts you off with an assortment very much like the colors Collin has posted here. Hope this helps!

Sorry for the duplicate post, I thought I hit the wrong button.

How are these bands compared to regular rainbow loom ones?

Awesome! Thanks!!! My daughter is an extreme crafter with these. She is thrilled!

I ordered those bands on 12/11, and my order is still on the way. I hope my package will come before Xmas.

Thanks Collin! I just saw these for the first time today when my daughter had a play date with someone. She and her mother had fun putting them together. I saw your post and knew my daughter would love making these! I love having gift cards in my Amazon.com account that I got from Swagbucks, too!! Thank you!!

My local Michael’s stores won’t let coupons be used on Rainbow Loom products! They have signs posted on the front doors and product displays. I go to A.C. Moore for more of the rubber bands and get them 4/$5 plus whatever coupon I have.

I ordered these last time they were this awesome price. These are the first bands I’ve bought as replacements for our rainbow loom, but I feel like they are chinsey. They are not all exactly the same size, and you can see the seems where they are made to be round (does that make sense?). They are what they are, and a great deal, but I have my doubts that they can handle the stretching that they need to.

These are not good quality. Thin and almost break. I got mine and compared to Rainbow loom bands these are awful. I will be getting my daughter Rainbow Loom bands and not using these.
