When would you guess these prices will become active? Special mid-week sales seem to start on the actual day, not loaded the night before but thought I’d ask. Thanks!

  2. Janae

I think it’s sad there open Christmas Day sucks for the workers !

    • M.

I agree… not considerate at all on wags part. I feel like stores ‘only’ care about profits when they are open on the very holidays that they receive sales for in the 1st place. As the old saying goes: what goes around comes around.

      • Anonymous

After working at Walgreens for 8 years, I can tell you it is a blessing to more people than you realize that Walgreens stays open. Hospital pharmacies close on Christmas Day, so working on Christmas Day, you get phone calls from hospitals and doctors trying to find a pharmacy open so that their patient in the ER can get medication. Think about that…. Walgreens is there to make sure people are taken care of – even when the doctors cant.

        • Rebecca

As a nurse, I always directed people to Walgreens, as it is usually the only place reliably open in the area. That is a good reputation and blesses the lives of many! I look at their employees the same as all of us doctors and nurses, aides, ect. that work to help those in need 24/7.

        • Savannah

Completely agree!! I work in a lab at the hospital and always direct people to Walgreens as well. We are the largest hospital in our area so many critical patients come from out of town. To simply have that ability to get a toothbrush, snacks, necessities is one less thing that family has to think about. I was there once. Much respect to Walgreen employees who I have never heard complain about working the holiday to help others 🙂

        • pam

Wow. I work in a hospital and have never heard of the hospital pharmacy being closed. Ever. It is open 24h a day, 365 days a year. How else would the hospitalized patients get meds, IVs mixed together, etc?

      • Shayla

as a parent of a child that ALWAYS gets sick on the holidays, I am appreciative to find a store that I can get something if needed, considering I am always traveling that day as well since family is out of town. I would have to believe that they do not force someone to work unless they want to though, or get justly compensated.

    • Chelsea

the BA at my wags is working christmas eve and christmas day in exchange for getting thanksgiving day off. I was telling her how that must be terrible since she wouldn’t be able to be with her family, but she told her how her family is so busy this year during Christmas, they’re not getting together until the following Saturday anyway (which is her day off) so everything worked out quite nicely.

    • Toria

Not everyone celebrates Christmas. To some people, it’s just another day.

    • Taraneh

You know there are people that don’t celebrate Christmas, right?

  3. Laura

Can you use the $1/2 AND the Buy 2 Get 1 Free coupons on the Right Guard?

  6. Linda

how do you use the buy 2 get 1 free coupon at wags?

  7. Amanda

I work at walgreens and just wanted to let you know that current the diabetes and you magazine will not be able to be found in stores. we were told to pull and destroy them because there is an invalid coupon in them.

    • kee

      Amanda,
Can I ask which Q is invalid?
      Thanks,
      Kee

  8. Brandy

I don’t know if this was a mistake or some well kept secret but I bought 2 bottles of ALL detergent today and it rang up $4 plus I used my $2 off coupon so I paid just $2 for both bottles.
