i love how gendered these toys are… little girls in the kitchen… preparing meals? for what? future stereotypical roles? they never show men in the kitchen in these toy ads. where are the gender neutral toys for kids?
I’ve seen lots of boys in play kitchen ads, there are lots of non-girly play kitchen sets out there. And it’s not stereotypical for girls (or boys for that matter) to learn to cook, we all have to eat.

Young kids take their cues from parents far more than they do advertisements. My son loved playing with his sister’s purple kitchen far more than his sister ever did. (gift from relative) We never told him it was a “girls kitchen” so he never thought it was a stereotypical “girls kitchen.” He just had fun and cooked us lots of play meals!
