Collin, I just wanted to let you know that the $2.50 hand soaps is a coupon. See the “use code 2058” in the picture you posted?? They won’t ring $2.50 without you showing the email and the associate discounting it from the coupon code.
I work at B&BW. I think the emails like that are confusing because it’s not made plain that they’re actually coupon codes and not a store sale. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
Darn! 🙁 But thank YOU for bringing this to my attention. I just updated the post.
fine print on coupon states “valid with $10 off any purchase of $30 coupon”
What was the black Friday price for these?
Triclosan…google it!
https://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/science/2014/01/five-reasons-why-you-should-probably-stop-using-antibacterial-soap/
Here is a great article by a reputable source on why we should NOT use triclosan.
Yep! Returned every bottle I had in my house two weeks ago. Employee said … I’m sure it’s probably safe… Oh ok. Why the FDA gives them one year to prove it’s NOT harmful is beyond me.
https://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm205999.htm
Yup not buying anymore of these.
3. The soaps could act as endocrine disruptors. ——–>A number of studies have found that, in rats, frogs and other animals, triclosan appears to interfere with the body’s regulation of thyroid hormone, perhaps because it chemically resembles the hormone closely enough that it can bind to its receptor sites. If this is the case in humans, too, there are worries that it could lead to problems such as infertility, artificially-advanced early puberty, obesity and cancer.
———–>These same effects haven’t yet been found in humans, but the FDA calls the animal studies “a concern”—and notes that, given the minimal benefits of long-term triclosan use, it’s likely not worth the risk.

Interesting article. Thank you for sharing. I think this is a good example as to how we are able to take articles like this, and make our own choices on what we do with the information. Seems every other day, something comes out to be bad for everyone then the next day, it’s OK. Personally, I take information like the above with a grain of salt. I find I am unable to buy the BBW antibacterial handsoaps year round, so the few times I do buy them, there isn’t a chance of long term issues (as stated above referencing “long term use”)
Yikes I love this soap but….I don’t think I want to use it anymore after reading this.
I think the $2.50 price is the price with coupon, so most likely you wouldn’t be able to use the $10 of $30 as well. The picture said use coupon code 2058 to get the sale price.
The code is for online. In stores its automatically $2.50.
those number codes are for in store only.
The code is actually for the cashier to key in if the coupon won’t scan… This sale is in-store only 🙁
Thanks for making me aware of this and I apologize for the confusion. I just updated the post.
They’re also online for $2.75-$3.00 and you can use the $10 off coupon… I still have a free-shipping coupon from the Christmas delivery delay episode (as many shoppers do), so it’s still a good deal online with that! Too bad you can’t stack codes! 🙁
Anyone have a free shipping code they would share?
I went to my local shop and the sign was up for $2.50, no coupon needed. I then used my $10 off $30 coupon with out any problems. Thank you for this!
Oh that’s great news!! 🙂
The $2.50 soaps is a coupon. Here is the link to the coupon: https://www.bathandbodyworks.com/category/index.jsp?categoryId=18649066&cp=4090263&cm_mmc=CH-_-1.2.14_RDM_AB_3HS_FULL__NS_V1-_-11604120-_-b3PC10of30&cm_lm
BUT in the coupon details it says “this coupon is valid with $10 off any purchase of $30 coupon”.
This was at the bottom of the email i got today. hope this helps!

Does anyone know how much the soaps sell for at the outlet store?
My email also says they CAN be combined with the $10 off $30 🙂 Great deal!
I just left BBW… I just had to mention the $2.50 price to get the sale. I was also able to use the $10/$30 coupon. Got 12 soaps for $21. TOTAL STEAL!
Btw: I use these as teachers gifts for different holidays 🙂
I also just got back from my B&BW and was able to get 13 soaps for $22. They had a couple of the scents I like 75% off so they rang up $1.37! The rest were $2.50 and then she took my $10 off $30 coupon no problem at all. What a great deal!! Thanks!
Is this really until 4pm?
The $2.50 price is till 4 pm today.
I was able to use both coupons as well and the sales associate confirmed it being allowed. This was a great deal. Thanks for posting!
this soap has triclosan- causes allergies
I’m a news junkie..was wondering when they would start selling off these soaps..they are trying to put more regulations on antibacterial soaps..because the companies claim they much better than regular soap. Clark Howard did a report this..I knew they would start marking these down 🙂 I also watch the Georgia Farm Monitor to see what corn and wheat prices are doing..since a lot of products we buy are made with corn and wheat. Those prices are usually trickled down to consumers. I like to stockpile those products… whatever they say is going to be higher in the next few months 😉
The Christmas scents were 75% off, so I grabbed 3 and ended up getting 14 soaps for $23 with the $2.50 sale and $10 off $30. Cheapest I’ve ever gotten them!
I got a bunch of stuff today for $20 with my $10 off $30 purchase coupon! I got regular hand soaps for $1.64 and holiday hand soaps (vanilla bean) for $0.91! And they added signature scent travel size shower gels and body sprays to the 75% off bins, so I got travel size body gels for $0.82 and body sprays for $0.99! And holiday travel size body lotions for $0.82! Awesome deals!
Oh and the hand soaps were not advertised as $2.50 each at my store. I had to show them my email.
This makes me super mad because my So Cal store said I could not use my 10 off 30 coupon with the soap deal. Ugh. Should have come here to read these comments before leaving without any soap. I guess I will know for next time to read the coupon.
I think the sales associate wasn’t going to let me use the $10 off $30 coupon with the hand soap deal but I showed her the fine print in the email that says you can, so she let me.
As a Bio major, I would not recommend any antibacterials/antibiotics that aren’t absolutely necessary–that includes antibacterial hand soap. These soaps can’t discern harmful bacteria from your normal protective microbiota.
Triclosan is unhealthy in many ways… I personally make sure to check ingredients level before purchasing anti bacterial products…Rather I prefer to make one at home. As the process is simple, requires only a few ingredients, and will leave you satisfied with the results.
