They send each person a code with your first Groovebook that you can share with as many people as you want for free books. For instance, mine is KIRK130. There’s no expiration date on the codes, you can share it with as many people as you want, and the owner of the code gets rewards for people using their code – free books, gift cards to Starbucks and Target, etc. It’s a pretty sweet deal and very generous of Groovebook, in my opinion, considering it’s such an awesome app and service that they provide for very little money.

I was JUST watching the show! and I am in need to develop some pics too! I might get this and try it.
I’m loving the app and my books — I have to be careful to not accidentally order pictures I took while recording video because the quality on those isn’t as good (the phone’s issue not Groovebook’s).
The reminders to upload before the print date are great, and I have torn some out to put in albums and noticed the date taken is on there which I hadn’t seen before – love that since the album I do is a picture a day so it automatically helps me put them in the right place:)

I’m watching Shark Tank right now but the GrooveBook segment hasn’t come on yet. I can’t wait to see it since I’m a big fan!! I downloaded the app and tried to download my first GrooveBook. It started downloading and got up to 57 photos then came back with a message that there was no internet connection and photo upload count went back to 0. I tried several times. All other apps requiring internet connection are working fine. I emailed info@groovebook.com and support@groovebook.com to unsubscribe and stop the service. Hope this isn’t a scam!
Why would so many of us be talking about how much we love GrooveBook and why would Collin have done a video about it if it was a scam? Some people.
I am having the exact same “no internet connection” issue, though I am sitting in my home on my WI-FI. Ugh!
If you just started tonight I wonder if the issue is their server. I know products get a lot of attention after being on this show. It is possible that they got more traffic than they were anticipating and the groove book servers just cannot handle it. I really enjoy this show and I often go and check out the websites or Facebook pages. Apologies are frequent about slow traffic, backed up ordering, etc….due to demand that was not anticipated because of the show.
Their Facebook page said they are being slammed right now and are having technical difficulties and that they will fix asap. I love my groovebook subscription. I can easily tear out pics and scrapbook them. Use code niese7 to try yours for free!!

I am surprised they took the deal they did. The sharks had interesting ideas about the company. I think they should raise the price so they can make more profit but I hope this deal helps them! I love shark tank!!
I’m actually dissatisfied w GrooveBook…the app kept crashing when I tried to upload so did t think anything sent thru then month later I got charged 2.99 I cancelled immediately and they won’t refund the fee. So I’m out 3 bucks and didn’t get the free book or the one I supposedly paid for! When I emailed they said I didnt have enough pics uploaded so nothing was produced….then why charge me???
Groovebook is awesome! I beleive the app is overloaded right now with new customers signing up. It is NOT a scam. Just chill and give it some time. If you look at twitter and facebook a gazillion new people are trying to sign up and upload pics.
Downloaded the app, signed up, clicked in the pics I wanted, clicked upload…and it wouldn’t work. No clue why. Anyone know? Thanks for any help.

Same here. Keeps telling me no Internet connection detected. I’m connected via wifi and still not working.
I’ve used this app for about 3-4 mo now! LOVE IT! Picture paper is a tad thin, but is perfect for my phone pics. Love that they come in a bound book. I’ve went back and basically did a year in review for each of my 4 kids. Some of the pics are silly and wouldn’t necessarily be book worthy… But I’m glad to have a copy! Thanks Collin!
I’m just wondering what the membership fees are as you wait between each book you are waiting to print off? I’m only asking because I’m looking at going on vacation to Florida in March to attend my niece’s 1st birthday were there I plan on over wheeling myself with allot of pictures of my 3 week visit. I also am planning on letting my sister know about your company because I’m sure she has plenty of pictures she would LOVE to put into books. But I want to make sure I know as much about it as I can before I tell her anything at all.

Woke up at 6am EST and had no problems uploading my pics. I clicked 100 but it only did 99. I think I read somewhere that if u didn’t upload 100 they would wait a week then close the book. I tried to add a pic and it wouldn’t let me. I tried to close the book and it wouldn’t let me. So now I have to wait a week plus 10-12 more days??!!? Geez!
This sounds awesome. A couple of questions, though. Does it send you an email reminder to upload each month? It you don’t upload, are you still charged $2.99? Is $2.99 all you pay each month regardless if you order 1 pic or 100? Thanks in advance for your help!!!
I don’t think they send reminder emails, and yes. It’s $2.99 regardless of the number of pics. I love this app!
I get email reminders, especially if I upload less than the 100. And I love the quality, it’s based on the quality of the picture you take. I have some pics that look a little blurry and I won’t upload those. It’s a great deal even if you had one or two that didn’t look good but that’s never happened to me. looks like you have to have 40 pics minimum or the book will not be made so 1-39 gets you nothing but it appears that you can do multi of single photos so if your short you could just double up

When I get this, I upload anywhere from 1 to 100 photos(you get to pick) and you get charged 2.99 regardless of how many photos. If you still forget to upload you still pay the 2.99. AND you can order more than 1 in a month, you just get charged an extra $2.99. AND you can have them sent to friends or relatives which I absolutely LOVE. It truly is an awesome app. I like to have all hard copies of my pics and use my phone for almost all my pics!!

Absolutely love this app! I just signed up this morning, I was behind on photos from my iPad, like 852 pictures behind! Just spent about a half hour, uploaded 100 at a time and ordered three books. I did get the message no internet connection a few times, but the pics I had already uploaded were still there, I just had to click upload again and it picked right up where it had left off. Simple and easy. Love the entire concept. I always take pics and never have the time to upload and order, this streamlines the process so much and is great for those of us with kids who take pics and never do anything with them! Can anyone compare the quality to shutterfly? So far they are my favorite. I didn’t watch the show but wonder how they make money? I’m a scrapbooker so this sounds great!

The pictures are printed on very cheap thin photo paper. Nothing special. I would stick with shutterfly…. wayyyy better quality!
I have used a smiliar app called Photo Affections with no monthly fee and not is a book. Just pay shipping and most of all via PayPal. I don’t like my credit card number on my phone or saved on a web site.

I love the Goovebooks too. So far I have done 4 of them. It was great to see them on Sharktank last night and that they were able to get a deal to grow the business. The only downside with the Groovebook subscription is that if you forget to make a book each month or decide not to, you are charged the $2.99 regardless. Then you are out a book & out the money. That I guess is why I do not understand the deal that they accepted. What is stopping people from cancelling their subscriptions with Groovebook and just being able to make a one time/without a subscription similar book thru Snapfish, etc, who Mark Cuban will now have them affiliated with. Might come to hurt them in the end. Still an amazingly good idea!

Does anyone understand the terms, specifically in regard to public v. private photos. It sounds like you are agreeing to give them limited rights to your photos, but not ownership. However, it says pics uploaded on the app are private and will not be used without uploader’s permission. Can someone clarify if there is somewhere you choose whether you want your photos to be public or private??? Help! 🙂

I got my book today and i was very pleased. I noticed the pics you add filters to tend to be a little more blurry than just plain pics.
