While I love Staples, I bought some M&Ms last year online (not the individual size) but they were a tiny bit stale, and I’m a chocolate freak. When I contacted Mars, they said they cannot guarantee the freshness if bought online but were good about it and replaced them. Great deal though if they’re fresh!

I bought the WD MyNet750 router from Amazon about 3 months ago because it is crazily cheaper than other routers with the same features. Unfortunately my router started slowing down and then dropping the internet connection every few seconds. Fortunately the router is warrantied for 1 year, longer than many other company’s. You have to pay to ship the router back to WD and they only give you a reconditioned router in return. I am currently using the reconditioned router and wondering how long it will last, because it is giving me slower speeds and less distance for optimal internet wifi than the first one when it worked correctly. My recommendation is to buy a Netgear or Linksys/Cisco router or other name brand router. You will have to spend about $100 for the same features, but the peace of mind and performance will be worth it.

Thank you Beverly. The information you posted about your experience really helps me make a decision. Sorry you had a hard time with your router.

Did you replace the cable first? This is usually the culprit of dropped internet and slower speeds and is much cheaper than buying a new router.

      • Beverly

It wasn’t a cable issue. I had a defective router according to WD tech support. If you look closely at the reviews on Amazon, other users report the same issues with this router. One person claimed he went through 6 of these routers before he got a good one.

Thank you~ I ordered my 2 boxes, now if I can find some cheap labels to personalize for Valentines Day from my girls, we will be all set for their class parties, if not I will just print some out myself 🙂

Am I dating myself because I remember the good old days when single candy bars were always 50 cents a piece?

    • Nancy

I can remember when candy bars cost 10 cents. (1970’s) LOL!

    • Wendy

Oh my goodness–I just said this to my son in the checkout line today!

Just a note to those buying for schools. ALL M&Ms are contaminated with peanuts and not safe for kids with nut allergies. As a parent of an allergy kid I just wanted post the FYI so you might consider bringing an alternative for those kids. My daughter usually takes it in stride but I feel bad for her when she can’t have most of the treats that get handed out at school! Tootsie Roll and Willy Wonka candy are great peanut free options!

    • Brandi B.

Thank you for the tip! I will remember those options. We don’t have any kids with nut allergies in our classes this year but we have cousins that have a nut allergy and I’m always looking for an alternative for birthday parties!
