I know, such a bummer! I think there is some way to get apps from Google play to kindle, but it’s way over my head.
So is it impossible to get google play apps on the kindle fire? I’ve been trying to get the Furby app on my daughter’s kindle instead of my phone and it’s driving me nuts!
Anyone know? Please help!
I looked it up a couple times and it seems like it might be possible, but there were a lot of technical things that you’d have to do……

I don’t have a kindle fire or google play, but I did a google search and saw this:
11) Access Google Android Apps
If you are disappointed by the size of the Amazon App store, then you can access the Google Android Market on your Kindle Fire to download other applications.
Go the settings on your Kindle Fire, and select Device. Where it says “Allow Installation of Application”, change I from the default setting Off to On.
Then using your browser on the Kindle Fire, search for 4share.com. Search for an app you would like, but make sure you add “.apk” to your search in order to find the relevant Android application.

That is referred to as “side loading” Take care when doing so and stick to installing those apps that you are very familiar with. Make sure the icon on the app and the company or name is the “real deal” My young nephew thought he had to get an iPod or iPad to get Candy Crush. He was just stuck in the Amazon Android OS. His mom fixed him up and since then, he received a Galaxy Tab 3 for Christmas. This was the reason I sold a Kindle right after getting it. Too restrictive.
Hi, I just want to add that I had a kindle fire and followed several instructions on a blog then was able to access google play apps, however my kindle fire just died suddenly after that and I was never able to turn it on again.
