Great movie! My husband won tickets to a private screening yesterday. My son was so excited since we’ve had 2/7 circled on our calendar ever since he saw the trailer.

  2. Liz

My kids are excited to watch this movie too. It actually looks funny!

    Is this in store only?

The ticket offer is in store only. The sets are 20% off on the site though. I also got to see the LEGO movie early. It was really really funny.

Total garbage! Went to TWO Toys r US today, on what was supposed to be the first day of the promotion. The first store said they never received any of the super giveaway movie toys (that are supposed to be free with $50 purchase) and the other store said they were out before noon, on today, the FIRST of an eight day promotion, the first store also had no movie tickets with employees stating they’d been “giving them away for a week” (they has also never sent he post cards mailed out, meaning they weren’t requiring buyers to show the card as it says ON THE card.) the other store said they got “like twenty tickets total” and were out first thing in the morning, and that they also had the promotional items, but by evening, they too were long gone.

So we got to leave the toys r us. Without purchasing $165 worth of Legos we’d looked forward to getting today. We’ve been holding into the post card on the calendar to wait for the promotion to start today, but what a waste. We walked out without buying anything, because I’m not going to be lured into a store by false advertising and still buy their crap when all their “promotions” were just lies, lies, lies.

We walked away from all those Legos, and promised our son we’ll go to the lego store and buy them. At least there, we get lego club points for purchases, and get $5 off every so many purchases. Spending the money at toys r us, just so we can get screwed out of both FREE give aways, forget it. I will never shop in toys r us again. My three year old was devistated that we had to leave all the toys behind, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to be tricked into wasting my money there and getting nothing out of it.

If they’ve been “giving away the tickers for A week” and advertising the promotion STARTS today…. How incredibly unfair is that?? Good riddance toys r us. We’ll shop at the lego store, and buy toys online from anyone BUT Toys R Us.

That sounds so frustrating. Fwiw, I have had bad experiences with TRU also and I only shop there as a last resort now. Their loss, since having my bad experiences I’ve had two more children…

Contact Toys R Us and tell them about your experience. I had a similar one a couple years ago with another promotion that was totally frustrating and they sent me an e-gift card to use online or in-store. It helped. A little. Of course, I’m not saying that everyone needs to complain about every little thing just to try and get “compensated”. That is wrong!

I also had a bad experience with TRU and Lego on a different promo. I called TRU customer service and sent them emails but I was not satisfied.
They are on my DO NOT SHOP at list.

Be sure to check the prices on the TRU website. We bought two set tonight and both were 10-13.00 less online than they were in the store. TRU will price match.

Don’t know why they say it’s a FREE MOVIE PASS! It’s actually a $7.50 credit towards the purchase of a ticket. Still had to pay $18 for my son and myself. Isn’t that considered FALSE aDVERTISING? I believe I saw the Word FREE on there. Tomorrow I’m going back to Toys R Us.
