So how would the final price be afterwards with no prior coupons? Still pretty good right? Sorry, not so good at math :-/

    • commonsense

shouldn’t be coupon-ing if you’re bad at math

      • Jorge

        Wow. Rather unnecessary comment.

      • paula

That was mean commonsense! It made me think about what my mom always used to say “If you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything at all”!!!!!!!!!!!!! This site is to help people, not bad mouth them, period!

        • Angie

I agree with you, Paula. No place for rudeness here!!!

      • Tarri

        That was not necessary.

      • Maria

Thank you to everyone who defended me…that seriously warms my heart. It always amazes me how rude people can be behind their computer screens…you wouldn’t say stuff like that to anyone you met at an actual store or somewhere, would you “common sense”? Why say it on the computer where you’re not even using your real name? You’re literally hiding behind a screen and a fake name…I don’t know how people like you sleep at night. Thank you again so much to everyone else. <3

      • hammer

coupon-ing whats that i thought it was couponing.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I coupon and run a coupon blog… and I’m still super bad at math! 😉

        • Maria

Thank you so much Colin!! 🙂

        • Maria

Thank you so much Collin!! 🙂

        • Monique

People are just rude!!! Way to rock it out everyone with the positive comments!!!

    • Stacy

      .25 each after Register Rewards.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Yep – $0.50 total, $0.25 each – still a great price! 🙂

    • Jacki

You can be amazing at math and still get confused with coupons. Don’t worry, that’s what these sites are for-to help, not be mean. I am just learning Walgreens myself and am still terribly confused with the points, rewards and how many coupons you can use.
Don’t pay any attention to mean, rude comments. People are usually very helpful on this site. Very helpful.

    • mike

I am impressed how helpful and kind most people are on this site.
Today alone you stood up for maria and shared links for the costco deal.
      I’m impressed.

    • jenn

Hi Maria. I totally understand your question. Each store has a slight variation on their rewards programs. I am not sure why “commonsense” was so mean, but for this Walgreens deal you would pay $6 out of pocket. You would then get the $4 + $1.50 Walgreens coupons to use on a later purchase (normally two weeks is the deadline). So overall $0.50 for both, or $0.25 per tube.

    • Anonymous

      Maria-
Don’t feel bad… I wasn’t so great either, but the more couponing you do, the better you will get! 🙂

      • Couponing Sonja

Well gosh… please delete my email address above… had no idea it would post 🙁

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          Just removed for ya.

  2. Paul

Without any Colgate coupons, the price would be $0.50, after you get the Register Rewards.

    2/$6 – $5.50 ($4 RR and $1.50 RR) = 2/$6.

Too bad, I don’t have any Colgate coupons. But, I’ll be needing a box of candy for Valentine’s Day, anyway. So, the Register Rewards will come in handy, on a second transaction.

    • Paul

      Sorry, that was supposed to be 2/$6 – $5.50 ($4 RR and $1.50 RR) = 2/$0.50

    • jenn

that reminds me about the saturday night live sketch about CVS that Collin posted yesterday. you should watch it if you haven’t seen it yet. 🙂

  3. shayna

I tried that last night and I got the sale price from the 2/9/14 ad but it only printed out the 1.50 RR from the 2/2/14 ad. the manager didnt get it either why it would give the sale price from one ad and the RR from the other ad.

    • Meli

RRs don’t print for early activation. You’ll get the sale price but not the RR.

  4. Youna Kimi

    just got mine thanks 🙂

  5. Cathy

Got mine too. Was a little confusing since right below was a Colgate 2/$5 also giving RR.

  6. Crystal

i don’t have any coupons but $0.25 each after RR is a pretty good deal.

  7. Michele

No coupons and I put them back since the booster points weren’t working. I almost bought them if the points would have worked.

  8. Alison

Just bought two Colgate total advanced whitening 4.0 oz and a $4 and $1.50 RR printed, PLUS I got 300 points! Yay!!!

  9. Ger

Thanks! I’m on my last tube 🙂

  10. icicle

I have two 1$ colgate coupons which says: Save $1 on any colgate total, colgate optic white, colgate max fresh, 3.5 oz or larger. Anyone knows if I can use these coupons with this deal?

    • Kerryiu

I used those 2 & they worked for me! Made it an even sweeter deal!!!

  11. Nes

    Great, thank you.

  12. Mary Beth

Will this deal end on Sunday or will it last the rest of the week? Does anyone know?

    • crystal

I’m curious about this as well. Will this deal work tomorrow. I can’t swing by wags tonight.

      • crystal

It didn’t work today. The $1.50 RR didn’t print.

  13. Kerryiu

I used (2) $1/1 colgate printable coupons on this deal & it became $1.50 mm!!!
    Buy 2 Colgate toothpaste, 2/$6
    – use (2) $1/1 coupons
    Pay: $4
    Get back $4 & $1.50 RR
final cost: FREE + $1.50 money maker

    • Tina

I had the same coupons when I printed them in the past. I did the same deal whoo hoo!!!! I got back the $4 & $1.50 RR also here in central CA. thanks hip2save 🙂

  14. toni

wow! that was so mean!!!! most people are not good at math and couponing is very confusing when dealing with multiple coupons.

  15. Britt

Just so that you’re aware before heading out while creating your transaction loop … the toothpaste and softsoap are both Colgate-Palmolive. I forgot this teeny fact, so it kinda messed me up when I wasn’t getting a RR printed on the deal. I made it work in the end, but it just goes to show — being bad at math isn’t the only thing that can muck you up! This stuff can get bananas…

  16. Commonsense

Mean? Seriously? It was just a statement, not a personal attack.

    • SherryB

A statement that you would have known to keep to yourself if you had any common sense.

  17. Melissa

I just went out and got the two Total Advanced Deep Clean and I received a 4 RR, but not the 1.50. Is the deal over?

    • Dawn

I just came back from wags also and did not get the 1.50. Darn.

    • crystal

Same thing happened to me. I think it’s over.

    • Nicoley

Yeah I didn’t get the extra $1.50 RR either. The cashier said it used to work, but stopped the other day :(:(. Oh well still a good deal!

  18. Mae

    Did not print 1.50

  19. Pam

It didn’t work in Gainesville, GA today either.

Thanks anyway, Collin. You are an angel ♥

  20. vicky

Does it have to be deep clean and advance whitening only?? I bought the mint fresh and the 1.50 didn’t print.

  21. Ana

I did this deal this afternoon and I didn’t get the$1.50rr. I think it’s over now??

  22. Krysten

Deal is over. I just got back from the store and only got the 4 RR. BUT it was still a great price with my coupons.

  23. Beanoto4

No 1.50 for me but got lots of good clearance candy to make up for it. Don’t forget to check the monthly coupon book for candy coupons that will apply to the clearance candy.

  24. janiece

This definitely did not work. $4RR, yes, which is in the ad, but no $1.50 additional (must have been regional or a mistake at one store or something). Disappointing since I didn’t have any coupons to make this a price at which I would normally buy toothpaste 🙁

    • Stephanie Zohnd

Im right there with you Janiece. I got the $4.00 RR but not the $1.50. 🙁 I didn’t even argue it because im not sure where the extra 1.50 even comes from to make my point to the manager.

    • Rebe

Didnt work for me either. I am in Holyoke, MA.
