Just random questions:
1. do people ever really get fired for taking the wrong coupon??? sometimes, cashiers say “i want to keep my job” or “i dont want to get in trouble” (i know my coupon is right – because I use hip2save – but they don’t understand how it works)
2. can you use a target catalina at walgreens? i already asked this question, but i forgot where i posted it… sorry, i wont forget this time.

Last night when I was at Wags the manager told me that Walgreen’s was sued by P&G two years ago for $30,000 because people were using a $10 Teeth Whitening coupon to get FREE tide and other smaller priced items (P&G products) for FREE. She said that 1 of her own employees was sue for $1000 and it came right out of her check, she said they now have to read each coupon carefully. The subject came up because my Rimmel coupon from the Sunday insert would not scan even though I had 2 Rimmel products so we were both reading the coupon to figure out why. So yes, I think it could cost someone their job if the coupon was incorrect.
1 – I have heard that yes, they get written up. But I’m sure there has to be a reason as to why. Maybe someone who works (or has worked) can enlighten us. BC I’d like to know too!
2 – I believe catalina coupons can only be redeemed at the stores they print from, unless you shop at a store that takes competitor coupons. And I believe Walmart will accept them. None of the CVS and Walgreens in my area will take catalinas from other stores.
I have worked retail for 5 years. Not at Walgreen’s but for two major retailers… must likely no they wont be fired unless management can prove that the cashier is accepting coupons to earn a profit for themselves or help a friend. At most there would probably be a written up. Most major retailers in America use POS systems that are programmed to work within company polices… which is why at times you get the famous “beeps”. if a cashier is telling me a coupon cant be used I always say politely “lets just scan it and see.” must times if you are right it will work.
As far as a law suit goes I don’t believe that for a minute. P&G wouldn’t have reimbursed wag in thee first place… read the fine print of coupons people company will be reimbursed if guidelines are might. Someone was blowing smoke.

No, but usually the hand renewal and other varieties listed on the coupon, are also part of the .99 sale.

Click your back button a few times and the 2nd coupon will print.
Also, S, if you ever see the box that pops up asking you how many prints you want, only do 1 coupon. If you print 4 or 5, they all will have the same ID # on them, and that is not allowed. If you will notice, when you print two coupons, the numbers at top right of each coupon will be different…that is so they know you didn’t “copy” the any coupons, which is also not allowed. HTH! 😉
That works for bricks coupons, but the one linked above is coupons.com, so you need to go back to the link and print it again to get a 2nd print.

Just a note of caution… My local walgreens does NOT usually carry the particular kinds of Dawn that this coupon specifies. Actually, my Bilo and CVS don’t either. The ONLY store in my area that carries the small bottles of hand renewal dawn and power clean dawn is Ingles. And they do mark all the small bottles on sale for 1.00 each pretty regularly. Just watch and make sure you use the coupon for the correct kind of Dawn.
