I wish I was expecting so I could get this, how neat, cool deal, I know I would use this because I like to save money AND wear my regular jeans.

  2. Misty

They sell these at target for around 15$. Also you can just buy a cheap tube top and some of the teen hoochie type stores and it will do the same thing:) mine worked for a few months but it’s not my favorite thing. I am very petite and spent most of my time adjusting the thing:)

  3. Lorissa

Has anyone tried this? If so, what is your opinion – does it work/comfortable? My sister is expecting twins. Thanks

    • Laura

I had one of these but from Target or another maternity store, can’t remember. It was nice for the beginning of pregnancy when regular jeans wouldn’t button. And it was great for after pregnancy when my regular jeans almost fit but again wouldnt button. LOL
And during the middle of pregnancy I wore it off and on, towards the end it was like a support bra for the tummy and felt comfy.
I didn’t wear it all the time but when I wanted it, it was sure nice to have!

      • Lorissa

Thank you (and the others) for your opinions!

    • Mel

Hey lorissa. I had twins and personally I would have appreciated a gift card to a store where you can buy jeans or shorts with a full coverage stretch band. With twins you get much bigger quicker. I think you tend to be 6 weeks ahead of a singleton pregnancy. If gift her $20 to motherhood to go get something she can use throughout pregnancy.

The belly band was a no-go for me during my pregnancy. I could not stand the jeans being open — itchy zipper, droopy butt, and the denim felt like a tight noose around my hips & bladder, which was torture since I felt the urge to pee all the time. Depends on the person, but I was much more comfortable in the full stretchy belly panel built into all pants.

  4. Lauren Giles

I haven’t tried them personally, but my friend bought the ones from Target and LOVED them. Hope that helps. 🙂

  5. nicole

I had something similar when I was pregnant- and it worked great.

  6. Crystal

I would have loved something like this for when I was pregnant! I did not even know this existed.

  7. Nikki

I am pregnant 24 weeks pregnant but I won’t use this because I never wear jeans in the spring and summer. I live in stretchy pants.

    • S

That’s what I did during my pregnancy I wear maxi dresses and leggings w/ some cute long loose tops (those things I can wear after pregnancy as well) =)

    • marlene

wish i could wear those i wear scrubs and am about to burst from the seams. i cant wear jeans so i really cant find anything comfortable to wear to work and i still have 2 1/2 months left i havent tried one of these but would if i could wear jeans to work

      • Pat

Marlene- If you can find someone who sews, fabric stores sell a maternity stretch panel which can be stitched into regular pants to make them maternity wear. You’ d have to cut the front out of the scrub pants in a U-shape to be able to insert the maternity panel, but it sounds like you would be willing to sacrifice a pair or two.

I have two from target and have loved them for all of my pregnancies. Can’t use them my entire pregnancy, though, as unfortunately my hips and butt grow too, so it’s not just the expanding waist that is an issue lol 🙂

  9. texasmama10

I loved this post-baby because not only did it help with getting back into “regular” pants, but it also gave me some privacy when nursing (I used a nursing cover which covered the front, but showed my backside sometimes depending on the top I was wearing… this was perfect for that!)

  10. adrienne

Yikes, shipping does NOT cost that much. I agree with the previous poster who said you can get these at Target or use cheap tube tops to achieve the same outcome. I’m not a fan of these “just pay our ridiculous shipping fee” tricks.

  11. Kate

Has anyone noticed how angry the model looks in the ad? If I had that body my last pregnancy I wld b grinning ear to ear!! LoL
I used the “as seen on TV” thing they had at Walgreens ($5/2 on clearance) not mkted for pregnancy but was like the bottom part of a tight tube top. It was GREAT 4 support & wearing jeans a lil longer. I’m still breastfeeding @10 mo & use it to cover my stubborn spare tire.

I bought my sister a BellyBra from Target. She said it really helped when she was on her feet 12 hours a day as a nurse. She was even fortunate enough to not get any stretch marks (and she gained 50+ pounds). I don’t know if is a prevention for stretch marks but she said bellybra was very supportive.
PS- use a rubber band or elastic headband doubled up thru the hole to the button on your jeans.
My mother told me a hilarious, old fashioned maternity tip for stretch pants or leggings-wear them backwards since there is more room in the butt. It worked.

  13. Amber

Stretch marks are all genetic! Lucky she has good genes!

  14. Amber

I liked these best late in pregnancy because I’m tall and shirts just weren’t covering my big belly. So it was like wearing a cami, without the extra layers.

  15. Kate

I have one from Target that’s very similar. It didn’t work very well for me – every time I stood up or sat down it tried to roll down or up until I was wearing a literal tube around my waist. This was six months ago when I still had a waist; I haven’t tried it on my 39 week belly.

  16. susan

YES! I used “belly bands” with both of mine, basically the same thing but without the buttons. I improvised and used binder clips, lol, so this would be perfect! I LOVED mine. And I hate to disagree, but no, I do not think a tube top would do the same thing, mine were tight but not constricting (which felt SO good!!) and and really great fabric…not at all flimsy like a tube top.

  17. Kristen

Has anyone used the actual “Belly Button” model? It seems to be different from the ones you can buy from Target. I’m wondering if the button helps … will probably end up buying them just to see 😉 but curious if anyone has tried them!

  18. Nicole

I liked the BE bands from target. I don’t know how similar they are but they helped when i left the hospital because i was much smaller the maternity clothes were falling off but i couldn’t buttom my regular jeans.

  19. Katy

I had a similar band from Target and hated it. It wouldn’t hold my pants up sufficiently and I felt very insecure. I was working retail at the time and had to do a lot of walking/bending/reaching. I’m pregnant again and I think I’m just going to try the rubberband trick when the pants won’t button any more lol

  20. mia

I got one called Bella Band when I was pregnant and it worked great. I was able to wear regular pants almost all the way through my pregnancy.

  21. Jamie

I have the one from Target but like someone else mentioned, it tends to roll down & not stay in place. I’m wondering if since these attach to your pants, they would be better.

  22. Melissa S

I have the Bella Band and the Target brand – I like the Target one better – the Bella Band was way too loose and didn’t fit properly.

  23. Lisa

They also have the add an extra for $10 on the Belly Button Body, so 2 for just under $24. That is under $12 a piece shipped which is not bad! These also attach to your pants, not just a band like Target’s.

  24. Mary

Anyone receive their bands yet? How did you like them? Also, do you recommend the band or body version?
