Also, in case readers don’t know, there are several companies that offer free anti-virus protection if you are their customer. For example, Comcast provides free Norton anti-virus for their customers. I know a few banks & other companies do the same.
How do you go about getting the Norton for free from Comcast?
Really?! I had no idea Comcast offers this, do you have any more details? Thanks for the heads up!

Found this page on the Comcast website. HTH 🙂
Thanks so much, Karen!!
AT+T has free internet security from McAfee –> https://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB402441&cv=801#fbid=Gvprh6W5mIL
Please don’t advertise paid software like this. No one needs to pay for Antiviruses, specially bloated software like Norton. The free options that are out there (e.g. Avast, or the already-included-in-windows-one) are the only ones you need.
Personally I think it’s great that Collin includes all kinds of deals. There are lots of people that use Norton and prefer it to other antivirus software.
Agreed, Kelly. I can usually find Norton cheap or even free (after rebates) and I love their customer support, so for me, it is worth the small price I pay. So for this “computer dummy,” I like it!
Free antivirus is not always enough. My mother and brother have both used the free software posted in some of the comments above and have both had to take their computers to be devirused very expensive to do. I have used free and had issues as well. I was able to fortunately back track and reset my point in time on my computer to solve the issue. I have been using Norton for the last couple of years and I know there are people that think I may be wasting my money but I have had frustration free computer use since I installed it two years ago. So make your own decision free is not always the best. So Colleen please keep advertising this type of discounted software because I personally use it and will continue to purchase it. Thanks for all the deals.
I have used Norton antivirus on my computer since 2000 and I have never, once, had a problem with viruses. My computer doesn’t run any slower b/c I have it installed. My 360 subscription ran out on Sunday and I’ve been shopping around for a sale. Thanks! I just ordered it! I have comcast, so I could get their free one, but it is the basic Norton and not the full 360. And, as a person that works in technology and previously a software development company, I have to agree that no software can protect you from everything, and the free programs aren’t always the best.
You do know that the only difference in this and the security suite from comcast is that the comcast version does not have a online backup feature. Other than that they are both same.
Nice deal on this! Too bad I just bought mine at Costco a couple weeks ago and already installed it! I didn’t pay too much more though… Costco had it on instant coupon for $29.99 which I thought was still a pretty good deal! 🙂
Thanks Collin, I had been looking for the Norton 360 this weekend and was having a fit because the price was so high. This was a great deal. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
All, Keep in mind as well, you are simply buying the subscription, you do NOT have to activate it immediately. If you know your virus protection is going to run out in the next few months or so, I’d buy it and simply keep it and activate it when yours runs out. Because you buy it today does not mean it is activated today.
My renewal price was $19.99 through Norton last week.
I have been looking for this deal too. My subscription expired since January and I’ve been dying to have one. Thanks Collin for posting it!
