I purchased this last summer when u posted it. My FHI $150 flat iron just died. I am of mixed race and my hair is silky when straight but mega curly when I wash it. What that means is that my hair is half way down my back but when I wear it naturally curly my hair is just around my shoulders. I’ve always had a tough time with cheap flat irons getting my hair straight. This does the job. My daughters hair is much thicker than mine but curly as well. This also works for her hair so much that I have to sneak it out her room to use so I’m buying another so I can have my own. You will love it. I was skeptical when I brought it but so delighted I did buy it.
AMAZING flat iron. Leaves hair perfectly straight however you can also use it for curling and waves. I got it in the last sale for $44. Awesome flat iron. Well worth it!

I got this one after my second chi died. This is just as good and has lasted longer than either of my chi straighteners.
I have this straightener as well. I got it Christmas 2012 and use it about 2 times a week. It still works great and I’m actually going to purchase another one to keep in my suitcase.
My $150 straightener just died yesterday. I was dreading spending the money, so I jumped at the chance to get this. My sister’s a stylist and she said it’s a great deal.

I purchased this for my teenage sister 2 Christmas’ ago and I was not pleased with it at all. It doesn’t heat up like mine does, and it leaves hair a bit frizzy. Doesn’t at all do what a professional straightener would as described. I paid about $60 for mine at Sally’s Beauty Store about 4 years ago and it’s still working wonders after 4 years of daily use! I have naturally wavy hair, if that helps. My sister has straight hair.. but it can be a bit frizzy, which is why she wanted a straightener. Doesn’t help her.

I purchased a cheap one at target for $17 a few years ago. I notice it takes a while to straighten my hair and sometimes doesn’t keep it straight. I don’t have naturally curly hair, just a slight wave to it. Will I even see a difference between this one and my cheap one? I’m sorry for the silly question, I just don’t know much about hair products!

I use this DAILY and highly recommend it! I highlight my hair and have naturally wavy/straight hair that’s unruly. It makes my hair look great and better than my $200 sedu or any chi I used. Not damaging at all either – can’t say enough good things about it! I paid $30 off EBay, over a year ago so this is a good deal IMO.

Woohoo! I just bought this and am excited to try it! I currently have a CHI but once you run it through your hair once, it has to heat back up again. Finally retiring that old thing.
I think it depends on what type of hair you have as to whether it works well for you or not. I bought one of the new titanium straighteners for my daughters who are multiracial about a month ago & it is the best straightener I’ve ever used on their hair! I was thinking about buying this one for myself.
I purchased this before {part of HerStyler flat irons} and it is a ripoff. They hike their MSRP way up and then discount them. Mine actually ended up breaking my hair really bad and then stopped heating up properly over time. I actually think they ended up changing the name from HerStyler to HSI so people wouldn’t recognize the brand.
I ended up purchasing the one my stylist uses – a ghd Professional flat iron and LOVE it. If you flat iron your hair often, the ghd is worth every penny.
I have a Kenta flat iron and I’ve had it for over 10 years. I love it but am so worried that it’s going to die and don’t want to spend over $100 for another, so I got this one. Such good reviews! I’m excited to try it
I bought this straightener the last time they offered this deal. Would not recommend it. It has a lot of places for your hair to get stuck in and pulls a lot. It is very uncomfortable to use. I splurged and bought a Paul Mitchell straightener.. Best money I have ever spent. I have very thick, course, wavy hair and it has been the best! I’ve tried chi and this one and they do not compare
I bought this last week love it!
I had the $300 Chi auto-digital wet to dry ceramic flat iron for years without issue until a cat sitting incident left it broken. I bought this as the follow up based on the seemingly good deal and awesome reviews. It works as well as a $50 flat iron should, I guess but noteven close to being as good as my Chi. I have very thick hair and this HSI can’t hold the heat long/high enough to finish more than half of my hair, if I’m lucky. Straightening works better than when I try to curl it.
