Here’s a way to make $100 if you are willing to take a test drive. Currently, participating Cadillac dealerships are offering up a FREE $100 Visa gift card when you test drive a 2014 Cadillac! To get in on this offer, you’ll need to head on over here, click on the red “Take a Test Drive” button and fill out the form – your local dealership will then contact you via text or email to arrange the test drive appointment (this appt should take approximately 30 minutes). Note that you must be at least 21 years of age and show proof of ownership of a 2004 or newer non-GM vehicle; this offer is valid through 3/31/14 or while supplies last.

NOTE: Since this offer is only available at participating Cadillac dealerships, be sure to confirm your dealership is indeed participating before you head out to your appointment.

(Thanks, Renee!)

Thanks Collin – just sent an e-mail, hoping to do the test drive tomorrow.

  2. nicole

How can you confirm the dealer is participating?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to find this out online – I think you’ll need to call them or send them an email.

      • Ashley57

When I submitted the test drive form online, I included something in the comment box about the promotion and asked if they were participating. When he wrote me back (less than 5 minutes) he said they were.

  3. Harlow

thank u so much for posting this Collin!!! I have done the KIA 25.00 GC for test drive in 2013 and this year– was fun and got GCs immediately. I am always hoping I can swing these when they come out!!! YAY!!!

  4. rn30032

    Dang just missed,the mark I,have a.2003 RX 300

    • Coraly

      Same here 2003 Hyundai 🙁

  5. Stefanie

I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. Pretty sure that is GM though 🙁

    • Janet T.

Yes, Pontiac was part of the GM family.

      • Stefanie

Thanks! Although my husband does have an ’09 Hyundai…

  6. Amani

do you have to do a credit check to participate?

  7. Christine

My volkswagen qualifies but I feel bad going in there and wasting a commissioned sales person’s time when I’m definitely uninterested in a new car.

    • rebecca

I know what you mean but I do believe that if you like the vehicle and you tell others, it could lead to a sale. Or even if you like the sale’s person, you can keep their business card and send anyone interested in a GM vehicle to them. It’s not the same as making the commission exactly but it is advertising through word of mouth for them.

    • Kim

Just tell them you’re there for the gift card offer and don’t items to purchase a car. They will often just sign your form and let you go.

      • Coraly

My husband did that before and the sales man Laughed and said “alright thanks for letting me know” 🙂 he was in and out in 5 minutes and just because the paper we printed out online was invalid.

    • J

I agree. Love getting good deals but would feel bad wasting the time of someone who is trying to earn a living.

    • axhilli

Yea that’s why I’m not going to do it, Id feel a little odd to walk in there knowing I don’t plan on buying a car I also wouldn’t tell them I’m just there for a gc.

      • Crystal

I feel the same, axhilli. I just couldn’t do it either way.

      • Renee

I agree. It’s like sacrificing your dignity as well as wasting the time of someone who is trying to earn a living, for a measly $100. If my husband even suggested doing this (he wouldn’t) I’d be mad.

        • LadyCaddy

As a salesperson at a participating, Cadillac dealership – I want to thank you to all of you who understand that with a commission based salary, this type of advertising is very difficult to stomach when people come in only for the gift card, have no interest in our vehicles, and only bring up their intentions at the end of our 45min introduction to the car and its features. If you are only in it for the gift card, be real with us. We are actually people in here (with families, dogs, cats, hobbies, and all the other qualities of a true human being – though we may rarely be treated as such) and understand, wholeheartedly, that free money is – free money. Not too much can get better than that – we totally get it. For the sake of not wasting your time or your salesperson’s time, please be upfront with your true intentions – and if you really don’t want to drive – we will be THRILLED with your candor. We typically spend 11 hours a day, 6 days a week here and (I know it’s horribly cliche) time is quite literally money. Also, please try to avoid stopping in on a Saturday – those are the busiest days for us and we work long hours to try to make a living. I can’t tell you how many people I have had come in with their entire family and try to get gift cards for everyone. Please don’t abuse a good thing. It’s one gift card per VIN, person, and household. It will bounce back to us in the system if we attempt any repetition of the previously mentioned criteria. We are here to do our jobs to support our families and we truly don’t want to waste anyone’s time nor have ours wasted. Thank you again for being sympathetic! If you are honest with us and you fully qualify – we are happy to oblige. You may feel like an opportunist (as this program attracts quite a few) but if you are upfront – we will be too, thus eliminating the sacrifice of personal dignity and gain of a good, free deal. The more we give out, the less we have to get through (there is only a limited number of gift cards per dealership). Thank you again. 🙂

          • Renee

I just saw your response, and I’m so glad you spoke openly. I know that there are people out there that simply lack character IE the people who bring in an entire family.

        • Joe

And when. When will I see Cadillacs. 100.00 test drive money??? Still waiting.

  8. Coleen

Is a mazada or a dodge apart of GM?

    • Rachel

No. The GM brands are Cadillac, Chevy, Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile and GMAC.

  9. Kay

After I clicked on the local dealer, I got an error saying the page I was looking for was removed. I’m thinking the dealer I picked just isn’t “participating” in the deal. Oh well.

  10. PilotMom

FYI: It took me a few times and a couple error messages to get the application to go through. I called the dealer to see if they were participating (I had to speak with the sales department), and he said all you need is your car registration to prove your car type/year ownership, and the number they send you via email.

  11. marie

The fine print says that you have to allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

    • fran

Yes, after you take your test drive, you have to mail the form with the salesman’s info. Then you just wait like any other rebate.

      • Jessa

I’ve made my appointment, but was wondering what form you’re referring to? I can’t find anything on the website…

  12. Jenny

I did this once for Volkswagon and never got the gift card. It was a waste of everyone’s time.

    • Wendy

I did the Kia offer last year. Did everything correctly and never got the gift card. I agree, it’s not worth everyone’s time.

      • Coraly

Same here we sent it in and never received the Kia gift card. But who knows Cadillac is a different car manufacturer, probably they really are loyal and stand behind what they advertise. I think my 5 minutes would be worth the time to just say I’m only here for the gift card get signed and leave. I just unfortunately can’t participate this year because my car is 1 year older than approved cars. 🙁

        • Evaa

Yes I did for KIA last year and the previous year but never got the gift card. 🙁 I even called the Customer Service of KIA and they were also not able to do anything. Frustrated & waste of time 🙁

          • Maria

Thanks for info…I was getting excited to get a free gift card, but it sounded too good to be true.

            • Ashley57

I have gotten KIA and Chevy ones in the past. The KIA one is only once per household (not just once per year) and it is only the first 10,000, which is why some people did not get it.

  13. Debra B.

Thank you Collin! I was able to submit through the 3rd dealership near me on the list. I have an appt for Monday. The salesman’s sparing me the test drive, since transferring kids and carseats into a gorgeous new Cadillac probably isn’t the greatest of ideas if at all possible lol!

  14. Linda

Do you need an appointment? My husband called and they told him to just walk in…? Is there a form that is suppose to be filled out?

  15. Jena

My car just went caput on Wednesday…needless to say it was a 1992 and I don’t make the 2004 cutoff date! Waiting it out for a new cheapie…

  16. Jessica

THANKS COLLIN! I LOVE THESE DEALS AND THINK IT’ll be Fun to test drive a nice car that I’m interested in!

  17. Lori Wozniak

I did it for Kia two or three times. I got the card, no problem. I don’t complain about the turn around time because I could use the money now, sure, but I could also use it in 4-6 weeks! :).
Thanks Collin! You really helped me to put my husband thru nursing school for the last 4-5 yrs! I took advantage of every deal that I could! It really pays off! I was at the point where I had more time than money, so I could easily do a lot of the time consuming stuff! Again, Thank You!!!

  18. Laura Priest Johnson

My husband is a sales manager at a local car dealership and I myself have worked in sales at several dealerships. If you’re not interested in the car, please don’t take the time away from a salesperson who could be with another customer and have the chance to earn some money. I can’t help but shake my head at this promo. I’d love to earn a quick and easy $100 bucks like anyone else, but not at someone else’s expense.

  19. Mel

I went in and told them “I don’t want to waste your time, I’m here for this gift card (I printed the page for proof), and I’m not buying a car.” He had me fill out the paperwork and I left. If your dealer follows protocol, you are supposed to bring your license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration. You need your VIN for the paperwork also.

  20. Rachna

I just did the test drive at Cadillac. The salesman took my car registration copy and filled out the details on a form which he had. He gave me a copy of the same and told me that I will receive the gift card in 4-6 weeks .

  21. Jackie

We have a 2008 Prius and have been interested in the ELR, so this is good timing for us — thanks for letting us know!

  22. Jill

Thank you, Collin! Did this yesterday. I think it’s a creative and smart advertising campaign. While we won’t buy a Cadillac, my husband liked it and it will bd a word of mouth thing. Thanks for the moolah tips!!

  23. Nika

Thanks Collin! My husband did it on Saturday. It took him 1.5 hours. The sales person was not in a hurry (The dealership has just opened and the do not have a lot of customers) but for $100 in 1.5 hours we do not complain. The gift card is supposed to arrive in 4-6 weeks by mail.

  24. Teresa

Is it possible for both my husband and myself to do the test drive? Or is it 1 per household?

  25. Anna

I took up on this offer and spent 1.5 hours this past Saturday. Feeling bad about taking time away from a potential sale, I was very up front and honest with the sales guy. Told him I just bought a 14 VW Tiguan in Dec 2013 and wasn’t too happy but that I knew it was to quick to trade, i needed to wait at least 6 months. Anyhow, he had me come in anyway. He told me he appreciated the consideration of his time but all he asked was when i’m ready to trade to give Cadillac a try, i could even have a car for a weekend to see if it’s truly was fit me and my two kiddos needs. And of course he welcomed all referrals. After all the info goven and test drive, i will def consider a Cadillac on my next go round, and definately refer friends to him. Everyone there was very professional, made you feel welcome and absolutely no pressure! THe sales guy even registered my info there at Cadillac and I should receive a gc in 4 to 6 weeks 🙂 – IF anyone is in the Houston Area, go visit Tome Peacock Cadillac, ask for David! And thanks for the post Colin!

  26. Vicky

I work at a cadillac dealership and I could not be more irritated by this deal. A majority of people that come in are college kids, and they take up so much of the salespeoples time. I have not once yet see this translate into a purchase. Just be honest with them and please don’t waste their time because Cadillacs are expensive and hard to sell to begin with, so when an actual customer comes its like a shark tank

  27. Mayra

I have an appointment scheduled but I can’t find the form and the salesman said he doesn’t have one. 🙁 where do I find the form? Any help?

  28. eve cornell

I just got a GM car and not sure if I want to keep it how fair is this now I can’t test drive your cars because of this wow …it’s not making me want to buy your car either now thanks

  29. Ashley57

I got my gift card today! Thanks so much Collin!

  30. Kim

Collin, I’d like to report that I did my test drive and they have sent me my GC! Thank you for sharing!!!

  31. Sheila

Can anyone tell me where to find the form? I’ve seen this Q asked a few times but no responses. Thanks!

  32. brittany

These salesman complain yet still work there. Its called get another job.

  33. soon

Has anyone here gotten their $100 gift card, I’ve waited over 10 weeks and nothing. I tried calling Cadillac Promo Test Drive Program HQ: 866-87-6148, and they wont speak to consumers directly. The dealer I had the past test-drive/paperwork has zero info for me.

    • Datgal

I have not gotten mine either, it has been 3 months since the test drive, I called the dealership and ended up talking to someone from Marketing support. I hope to see results for this. 18003334223 GM marketing support.

  34. Ngasif

    Where is this??

  35. soon

Datgal, thanks for that #. Gave them a call and see if I can get some answers. Lady over in GM marketing was super nice and took all my info, guess it’s another 8-10weeks wait all over again

  36. Jane Billis

I entered my Unique ID number and my dealer code and it stated that the dealer code was no right. My dealer is Crestview Cadillac in Rochester, Michigan (BAC 119019).
Can you explain what the problem is??

  37. michele

Wow it March 3th and I test drove a 2016 Cts on January 20 th and I still have not received my $100.00 gift card. I’m not very happy with this program. I guess I had to purchase that $50,000 car to received the $100.00 gift card.

  38. Joe

I test drove back in November of 15. And it’s now March. 16. Soon the 17 and 18s will be out. And when ????

  39. Rose Podlaszewskiu

I did test drive a Cadillac and the dealer gave me a number to enroll on feb 5,2016 and I never received my prepaid card
