I think it depends on your Target. I always use cartwheel with price match. BUT – i also buy other items so they really don’t pay much attention to what’s on the cartwheel since it’s scanned at the end and the price match is typically done at the beginning. However – I have price matched a DVD on Amazon and then used cartwheel with it being the only item I purchased and I didn’t have any issues. I’d try it if I was you. I think it just depends on who you deal with at the service desk. Good luck!

I think you can use a cartwheel with a price match per targets policy.
Target and Cartwheel coupons: Target and Cartwheel coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target and Cartwheel coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price.
It says the are to use cartwheel first and then adjust the price down to match competitor price so you would not be getting an extra discount beyond the competitors price. So there should not be an extra discount with the cartwheel after they have already price matched it.

I’m thinking if you buy the ipad air 16gb which is on sale for $449.00 at best buy at target instead you will still only get it for $449.00 even though you use the cartwheel.I say this because the cartwheel will drop it down to the competitor price, so it will already come out to be the same price and they won’t deduct any additional money.You will however still get that $30 giftcard u.
I just wanted to update my comment now that I have done the iPad deal at Target.I was able to price match the Ipad 16gb with Best Buy.In addition to this I was able to use the 10% off cartwheel and still qualify for the 30 gift card.I wasn’t anticipating being able to combine the price match and cartwheel, but I was pleasantly surprised.I think that your mileage may vary here, but it’s worth a shot if you are in the market for an IPad.

You can’t use the card on the same transaction. You could use it in a transaction immediately after your first but the gift card isn’t “active” until you pay for the transaction you received it on.
I did it one time. Wasn’t expecting it, but the cashier asked me if I just wanted to use it right away. Random, and I don’t understand how it worked if it wasn’t supposed to be active, but it worked.

It varies by bank. Some take up to 7 days while others are 2-4! I wish it was all one system to make it easier on consumers!

I did this tonight. I bought the 16g for $499. Price matched Best Buy for $449.00, then did the CartWheel and it took $44.90 off. Traded in my IPad 2 for $150.00 off. Paid with my Red Card for 5% off. And got a $30.00 Target Gift Card.
I just bought an air. They let me price match best buy and use cartwheel but didn’t give a gift card. I used a gift card from when I traded in my old iPad and then used my red card. What a sweet deal.
