Excellent gift for a Teacher at an awesome price!
my 3 yr old LOVES these stories. I bought a similar set at Sams Club for about $10 . Ordered this one too.
Love those books. Many hours of reading and rereading the series with my son when he was little.
I got i think 5 books for around $10 at BJ’s. My little peeps loves them!
I have a question? But let me preface my question with a statement… I am grateful for my daughters teachers. There are two. My mom was a teacher and I am aware of how challenging and important the position is. My question is… Is it common for a week long teacher appreciation week with a flyer being handed out with each day stating what should be given with the last day gift, being a gift card and with a specific amount? The flyer was not just a suggestion. It was a schedule and what to bring each day. I would like to hear if anyone else has experienced this.
Thanks
That’s total crap. I would never hand out such a thing. I also would throw it away and ignore it if my kid brought it home. A flyer reminding is about teacher appreciation week is fine, what you received not at all fine!
Agreed! That’s ridiculous.
Thank you. I thought it might be an issolated incident. The teacher’s did not hand it out the school coordinator did. However, I found myself being a bit angry about it. I felt like it is sort of like being invited to a birthday party and being told what gift to bring. I am trying to teach my child about working and doing the right thing even if it means there isn’t any reward. That the little surprises and the accomplishment along the way are what make it worth it. I thought this school might be teaching similar values but the flyer rubbed me the wrong way. It is a Christian school. Was very surprised.
Thank you
As a teacher myself, I would be embarrassed if my school were to hand out something like that! I never expect my students to get me gifts for any holiday or occasion. If they do, I’m always very appreciative but I would never want a student or parent to get me something because they feel like they are forced to! And as a parent, I’d be upset. It’s one thing to send something home mentioning that it’s teacher appreciation week, but it’s another to have a timeline of what you are expected to do and when. Unbelievable!
Thank you for validating my feelings and responding. I thought maybe just maybe this was the current norm.
A handmade card from a student would be worth so much more then any other gift!
