As most of you know, 9/16/12, was the start of the new Walgreens Balance Rewards Program! Even sweeter, on 5/5/13, they started a new point system in which you can redeem your points once you reach just 1,000 points. Please head here to read all about it.

How can you tell about RR on paper towel deal is going on in your state? I usually don’t shop at Walgreens they always give hard time on accepting coupons…but I need paper towels. My daughter makes me crazy how she uses them 🙂
I dont think you can check your state without trying the deal. Here in NC it worked. what state are you in? Other hip users might be in the same state and might know if the RR prints.

yes, you will receive new rr’s as long as you don’t use a rr from the same product. (i.e. you can use a rr from colgate toothpaste to buy shampoo that earns a rr, but you can’t use a colgate toothpaste rr to buy the same colgate toothpaste, or the new rr won’t print out.) just make sure you don’t have more coupons than items. (because rr’s are manufacturer coupons so if you are using another manufacturer coupon for the new item you are buying, you will need a “filler” item for your rr to attach to). i know walgreens seems confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy!

Question re the Wrigley 5 gum on sale this week. I tried to use the in-store coupon tonight so it would be .69 and then the 50 cents off coupon as suggested in the shopping list for this week. The coupon beeped and took 10 minutes for the manager to come over and then after he studied it and I pointed out to him that it was Wrigley, 15 count he just said that if it beeps it’s not in the sale. I read in the comments for this week this happened to someone else but then in another comment the store adjusted the price. Anyone else have issues with this? I’ve never had a problem using coupons in any store like I do at Walgreens. Out of 6 registers at my store only one prints the RR, and the employees must not be given the discretion to adjust prices without a manager’s approval.
I had the same problem the coupon would not work for me either but the lady at my local Walgreen’s knows me and is very kind and she adjusted it for me with no problem. It just depends on the workers because some adjust it right away and others don’t. I love the lady at my Walgreen’s.

I cant find the softscrub coupin in my SS 4/13. Is it regional?
I went to wags today and no RR printed for the scope or Irish spring but the manager priced modified it for me, which I was very greatful for!
On the other hand, the manager told me that the coupon policy was updated three weeks ago and that I could only get 1 RR even if I did multiple transactions because the computer knows my balance reward number. Has anyone else heard this? I was just there last week and had no problem doing two transactions.
I had no problems running multiple Irish Spring Gear transactions. In fact, the Omaha stores are wiped clean of the gear and are allowing use of the coupons on the regular IR…no beepage even!
He’s just trying to scare you off from doing multiple transactions or getting too many good deals. If you try it, it’ll work.
I just went to Walgreen and I had the same issue. According to the manager, the card now keeps track of all my transactions.
