Beautiful paintings! I love them all!!

  2. H

I just want to warn anyone looking at these that the “original” prices are extremely inflated. A quick look on etsy will show that these paintings are sold at a price close to what they are being offered here (nothing is over $500). I’m a little disappointed that they falsely inflated their prices just so hip2savers thought they were getting a great deal.

    • Cindy

      Agree with you!

  3. Jen

I have some artist ability and could easily do all of these “original” art works. If you want something cheaper and better quality with more uniqueness hit up your local community college’s art students. They would love to paint something awesome for money!

    • Jessica

      Cool idea!

  4. Eric

I feel that money would be better served if you go to a college art gallery and buy something from a student trying to make it though school rather than buy overpriced paintings. Are they nice? Yes, I do like them but for those prices I feel that you could do better.

  5. Ana

I have bought oversized old/ugly/not original paintings from thrift stores for $4-$6 (with beautiful ornate frames) and have painted a coat of white paint over them and painted my own abstract work (checked out some youtube videos for inspiration and techniques) and spray painted the frames if needed. Cheap, fun, unique!

  6. Betsy

Seriously not a good deal – check out etsy or local artists for quality work.

  7. Anna

LOL Sandy, I thought the same exact thing. I could make some serious profit off my 4 year old’s paintings, which end up inthe trash. Yickes and so overpriced!!!

    • mike

      wHERE is Sandy’s comment?

      • Crystie

hahaha…I thought the exact same thing

  8. Tim

Carmen has beautiful work! The fact that they are original pieces is what makes me respect her craft. Even though you’re able to buy prints, the painted works are one of a kind, dedicated to one owner. There’s so much thought and effort that goes into painting large scales, and her work is lovely!

  9. jennifer

I do think they are very pretty and neat looking. I would love to have a couple of them for my home.

  10. jessica

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is very hard to be a working artist. I admire anyone who has the ability to not only create, but also do what they love as a business. Thanks Collin and team for posting this deal.

    • Trayceee

I agree Jessica! Thanks Collin and company for making this available to us. I love the pictures and am waiting to see if she will accept my offer on one. I might never have seen this artists work otherwise.

  11. Carmen

Hi all, I am the artist. I respect all your comments and appreciate you took the time to look at my paintings. As a hard working mom, I started painting when my son was born and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my art with you. I understand that art is very subjective and I don’t expect everybody to like my paintings. But as it is very hard to make a living as an artist, I believe every artist and piece of art deserves some respect.

All my paintings are 100% hand-made with high quality materials, my canvases are solid wood. I offer free shipping and you are welcome to make your best offer on any of my paintings. If you have any question, please feel free to contact me. Thank you all for looking and to Collin and Bryn for giving me the opportunity once again to share my paintings with you. Thanks again!

    • Jessica

What a professional and appropriate comment. I think you offer a nice selection of a few different styles. The red poppy one is my favorite.

      • Carmen

        Thanks Jessica, much appreciate it!

  12. Jessica

I think they are gorgeous! I found one that is all the colors I’ve been looking for for over two years. People need to take into account not only original painting (not print), texture and time done on these. Would I spend $1500? No but $350 absolutely!

  13. Ann

I just want to say, I bought something last year and was heartbroken it came torn due to UPS people (my luck I was the only one this has ever happened). Carmen was so awesome she offered me the same deal on any other painting I desired… well, long story short. On my 40th birthday, a picture similar to the one I loved so much came to my door… at first I thought it was a mistake and then my sister let me know Carmen was gracious enough to give her the same deal she gave me and also painted an original piece just for me with a Happy Birthday card that meant so much to me. Anyway, her paintings are beautiful… so detailed.

    Thank you so Carmen!!!!

    • Carmen

Dear Ann, I am happy to hear from you again. Thank you so much for the nice comment and I am glad you like the painting. It was a pleasure for me to paint something special for your 40th birthday. You are a great customer and I don’t have words to express how thankful I am for all the help you provided with the UPS claim. Enjoy your painting 🙂

  14. Krystal

Oh that Natural Beauty painting is calling my name!

  15. shireen

Being offered an overpriced deal might upset you but I think its a bit mean to comment so harshly about her work. Art is always subjective and so is its value. I am an artist too and when everyone thinks they can do your work it really makes one feel under valued.you Luke it great if you don’t move on. The college students will also become starving artists if everyone begins to think like that. My biggest pet peeve is people see my work say its gorgeous and proceed to ask how I’m so creative..I have had 18 years of education and 6 of those specializing in this field- its not like one would ask an accountant or a banker how they are good at math..complaining over :p

  16. mike

I really want to hold off on commenting here. But I can’t. My wife bought several #prints from js perry in the 90’s. These are cat motiffs ranging from $100-300–she loves them. She saw js perry at many county fair events over the years. I like the work, but I don’t think they hold any value, beyond what my wife and I see in them.

If you know the artists work…fine…but don’t be influenced here.

  17. julie

Beautiful paintings! If I had anything extra in the budget right now I would be very tempted. Thank you Collin and Carmen!

  18. laura

I bought my first painting from Carmen off the hip to save site! I don’t have much money but had been looking for 2 years for a large beautiful painting and found nothing…I ordered the Serenity painting and feel it is worth every cent! I also get tons of compliments on it!
    She does beautiful work!

  19. Mel

These are beautiful! I hope this deal comes around again when I can fit it into my budget

  20. Anna

    It was removed

  21. Andrea

It’s hard to make a living as an artist and the fact that they are unique means you can’t just print them off a thousand times. Your time is worth something and how many hours plus materials does it cost to create one. You can’t have original art for $20 unless it’s made in China. Sure supporting college students sounds great too, but what are they going to live off once they graduate? I’m not saying I can afford one of these, but I don’t think the sales prices are outrageous either.
