Great question! I am not sure how long after your membership expires that Sam’s Club considers you to be a new member?
I just got off the phone with Zulily. The customer service person was super friendly. She placed me on hold to ask the support team and they said the terms do not state anything about an expired membership (which is my current situation), so I should qualify for this offer. She mentioned that if I go to redeem my voucher and they refuse to accept it, I should call Zulily in Sam’s and they will explain to Sam’s that their terms do not state an expired member cannot sign up for this offer and that they must give me the deal. Sounds good to me!

I ask everyone to really consider how much your going to use this before you purchase it. I did this deal last time and my membership runs out next month and I’ve only gone 2 times! I am going to make sure I at least make one more good trip before it expires but I wish I would of sat back and thought about it more before I purchased it…. I’m not a huge sam’s club fan
We love Sam’s Club! I go at least twice a month because I save so much money on meat, produce and milk. I cannot beat those prices or quality anywhere else in town.

I know what you mean Ashley. There are only a very few items that I even buy there anymore because they dont’ take coupons and you have to buy such large quantities $45/year membership is expensive now that I’m such an avid couponer.
I get better prices on all items by price matching at Walmart.
I use it for the discount on gas! Cheapest gas in town in my area. Also milk is way cheaper.

The last time they had this it was not good toward renewals. I bought it and they would not let me use it because I had a membership before. The manager ended up giving me a $45 gift card because I was really upset.

We did this with Goupon back around Thanksgiving, it was pretty much the same deal. My husband was primary on our account that expired the end of September so when we went in to use this I said I wanted to be primary and him on the account second. They did not give us any problems.
Do you have to give them your SSN when you get your membership? Otherwise, how do they know if you have had a membership before?

We had both. We liked Costco mmuch more. We shopped at Sam’s a couple of times, but didn’t feel the need to renew it after it expired. We have 2 Sam’s within 10 minutes from us, but still preferred to drive the extra distance to Costco. We felt they had a better selection.
I have been waiting on this deal since March when my membership ran out. I did this deal last year I believe through Living Social and where my membership had ran out the previous month they let me use this with no problem. I hope this helps!

I find their organic selection to be pretty limited, especially when compared to Costco. I have a membership to both but mainly shop at Sam’s because it is 30 min closer to us than Costco. Personally, I REALLY prefer Costco, largely because of there organic and natural products.

This is an amazing deal considering the “freebies” pay for the membership. It’s almost like if you “buy” the freebies, you get the membership free plus almost $2 back.
I should qualify for this, but I was once a second person on an employee membership. That was almost 10 years ago, but since it wasn’t in my name… well, I should be a “new member.” I’ll find out one way or another. I have a feeling that Sam’s Club and Zulily didn’t explain the details too well and will have a few upset people who had memberships years ago and bought this deal to join again if the “past member” thing is true. But I assume, like most memberships, you are “new” after one year after the renewal date due to a delinquent membership. We will find out on Wednesday.

I called Sam’s Club and they said it takes about 2+ month for your membership to go from “expired” status to being deleted from their system if not renewed. I am still active until May 25th, so I would not be able to use this deal until sometime after July 25th (as a new member & not renewal) and also not be able to use the store until then.
I have sams bjs and costco. If bjs and costco don’t have an instore coupon sams is cheaper. They have a decent sized selection.I like it for most everything better then costco sans fruits/veggies.
