These are disgusting!!!!! They smell like bad fish. I ended up throwing them away and lost about 100.00.
Thanks for the heads up. I was about to order! !
The reviews on Amazon said you need to rinse them under water for a while, but that there’s no lingering bad smell/taste once cooked. Have never tried them myself though!
If you go to Hungry Girl website their are lots of recipes with these types of noodles.
I rinsed and rinsed but they still smelled fishy to me. The noodles had a weird rubbery texture once cooked and just didn’t taste right with my pasta sauce. My husband who eats anything, a la Mikey, couldn’t even eat them. Thankfully I only bought 1 to try from Abe’s Market. Def aren’t for us!
We use these in Japan. I ate these when I wanted to lose some weight ๐
Tofu Shirataki is very similar to these noodles and I buy mine at Fred Meyer here is a link to a coupon that is from their website-

Thank you!
Even after rinsing them there was a fishy smell and I just couldn’t get past the texture either. I couldn’t recommend these.
I ordered as I want to try them…thanks!!
I have ordered them many times. They are not disgusting if you rinse them and add a sauce. It’s a great way to keep your calories low.
I bought some similar noodles called “pasta zero” and they had a horrible texture too. If you haven’t had pasta in a long time and your desperate then go ahead and order them. However, if you had spaghetti last night and you want a lower calorie option…. This is NOT comparable.
There is a vegetable spiralizer available on Amazon too (& Bed Bath & Beyond) that can turn soft veggies ie: zucchini into long noodle – like strands…tried it last week and loved it! I cooked it in the pan for 1 min and added a little olive oil to it and ate with shrimp while the family had pasta and shrimp. Just my 2 cents ๐
They are good taste with ” Oden ” or “Sukiyaki ” sauce, something like that…
You just need good recipes and know how to cook them…
These are great but as a stir fry like noodle option. I don’t recommend pasta sauce with these because they are not even close to real pasta. But as an Asian style dish stir fry, ramen, and pho they work great just rinse good.
I agree. I really only use these in pho myself
My husband was so excited to try these when eating low carb but they were SO GROSS! It was like eating fish flavored snot. Trying to eat them made me gag. Yuck!
