Just an fyi…there was a report done on suncreen lotions and banana boat was by far the worst. They said banana boat was under 15 spf although they claimed they were twice as much. The best ones were actually store brand…Walmart Equate and Target’s Up & up Sport Spray. Just wanted to share. 🙂

Yup you are right I posted this the other day too. It was on John Matarese’s “Don’t waste your money” segment and on others regular news. My husband fried within an hour of putting on supposed SPF 50! We have 6 various bottles of lotion and spray, I’m returning them all.

    • CW

Another good one was the pink bottle Coppertone Babies lotion. 🙂

      • Suzyq

Be careful with the pink copper tone for babies, both my kids broke out in horrible rashes from it when they were babies and so did my nieces.

    • Jessica

      Thanks for the tip!!!

    • j

This explains why one of my little ones has been burnt the last two times out in the sun! (I was blaming my husband for his application skills:/ oops, guess I owe someone an apology.

  2. Sophia

Has anyone used these yellow new tide? Are they good?

  3. Shayla

Huh, I keep seeing you post that Banana Boat continuous spray is $8.99 but mine in Central Ohio is priced $10.49 =( Still a good deal just bummed that prices are more.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Shayla,

Darn! I guess the prices vary by region. At my store, there were varieties priced at $10 to $11 too, but I noticed that they did have lower priced sprays starting at $8.99.

  4. Jessica

love the yellow tide bought two cases last month had a coupon paid 2,09 each! smells great and works great

  5. Jacki

    Love the yellow Tide!

  6. Lindak

fyi – I bought the Colgate Optic White Whiteseal mouthwash and it generated the $2.50rr, but the price didn’t go down to $3.49. I just noticed this and will be going back to Wags tomorrow. Thanks for the tips on good deals – I bought most of them with the exception of the Tide.

  7. Alyssa

There’s also a $2 Colgate mouthwash mobile coupon on the Walgreens app!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for passing along, but that coupon is for the larger 1-liter size, so it won’t work on the 8 oz mouthwash.

  8. Megan

I have a question about the Windex… I have (2) B1G1 coupons for the product. How could I use them in this scenario? TIA!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Megan,

I would suggest doing two separate transactions, so that you get two $2 Register Rewards. So purchase 2 Windex Touch-Ups in the first transaction and use one of the buy 1 get 1 FREE coupons to get a $2 RR AND then do another transaction to get a second $2 RR.

Just note that you can’t use your first $2 RR to pay for your second transaction or else you won’t get the second $2 Register Reward back.

      • Megan

Thanks Collin! I love your site!!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          You are so welcome! 🙂

          • kadi

Did the windex touch ups one this week and only got a $1 RR…. Didn’t realize it until after of course!

  9. Cammie

Thank you SO much for posting a Walgreens deal. I like shopping at Target, but Walgreens is so much closer to where I live.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are sure welcome! 🙂

On a side note… I make my own laundry soap and love it, but I did buy the yellow Tide last week (with a coupon of course) to use while we were on vacation and I have to say I loved it! It smelled nice, was inexpensive for Tide, and worked great – got out chocolate stains. I didn’t have stain spray so I poured the Tide right on the stains and they all came out. I might have to buy it on sale with a coupon in the future (even though I save soooo much making my own).

  11. Sara

I’ve bought the Tide the last few weeks with coupons (family of 6) can never have enough. I love the smell and it seems good quality wise getting out stains, etc.

  12. Bekah

Hi Collin, do you recommend purchasing coupons? I feel I can never get the best deals as I don’t get a Sunday paper! If so, any recommendations? Also, do you keep a bunch of one specific coupon with a longer expiration date and wait for the deal or do you see the deal then get the coupons needed? All so overwhelming. Thanks!!

    • April

I’ve always wondered this myself. I don’t buy a paper but have friends that spend $8 or more buying inserts.

    • Lashavia

Go to coupondede dot com. It’s the best

      • gohogsgoinar

I <3 coupondede too – very fast and very fair prices

    • marlene

i have bought coupons when i really think something is very cheap i bought them on mycouponhunter.com and was very happy they dont charge for the coupons they charge for their service hth

  13. Jj

Wow your coupon game is on point!

  14. Cali

Wow I wish the tide was that price by me in lower NY, I printed out my coupons and went to walgreens but the yellow bottles are full price. Are they $2.99 everywhere else? It’s not in our ad either, I wonder if I should’ve scanned it anyway.

    • em

Cali, if you’ve made the effort to print the coupon and drive to the store, it never hurts to scan and get a price check to confirm. If it’s it your local ad, then it should be on sale. Yeah, I’ve been burned with regional sales too. This deal was $2.99 in my area but my Wags is never well stocked, so I got a raincheck. Luckily, walmart was on my way home and I was able to get a price match there.

      • Cali

Great idea on the price match, I might just have to do that. Thanks!

I was able to grab 4 today. You cannot beat $1.99 each for Tide.
