Calling those of you who are 21 and older and have a Twitter account! Through June 30th (or after 50,000 new Twitter followers), head over here, follow Newcastle on Twitter (make sure you’re logged into Twitter), and confirm your date of birth to snag a FREE $1 check via mail. Note that you will receive a direct message from Newcastle and will be required to respond to the direct message within three days with the required information in order to receive your check. Allow 8 -10 weeks for delivery.

figuring out how to use Twitter is worth more than the dollar!
I have gotten lots of good things that were Twitter only – you might want to look into it. A bag of popped chips from Wheat Thins and a full-size Oreo package were two recently. I have also gotten a small check from this company before – so it is legit.
We both liked those Oreos. I think the name had something to do with marshmallow. The cookies were golden oreos, and the filling it tasted like Rice Crispy cereal treats. I don’t usually eat packaged cookies, but I did want to find those again. The flavor seemed to be temporary, though.

I followed them on twitter but I didn’t get anything saying I would get the dollar? Was I supposed to get a confirmation?
Kara, After you follow them, they will send you a DM (direct message) asking for your mailing address to send the check. I followed them but haven’t received a DM yet.
I clicked follow but I keep getting a message saying “problems following this user”.

I opened it in the twitter app on my phone and didn’t have an issue.
I kept getting the same error too (on iPad)! I finally switched over to the Twitter App. on my phone. I was able to select “Follow” and it stuck without receiving an error, but it needed me to confirm I was over 18. When I tried to select my month, it just kept reverting back to June. So, I selected the month with one hand and held it in place, then selected the day and year with the other hand … After that, the month stayed put and I was able to click “Done.”
Twitter is definitely unusual and took some time getting used to. Heck I’m still figuring things out. But, as mentioned above, I’ve won the Popped Wheat Thins and I have been able to get notifications of when something is on sale, a contest, or Swagbucks Codes. It’s worth it.
try changing the year first before you select the month and day. It doesnt read birthdates that haven’t happened in 2014 yet, that’s why you can’t choose a later month
