Does Walmart take coupons for a free item?

    • Daniel

This is not a coupon for a free item. It is a bogo coupon, which they do take..

      • Susie

Some stores in my area consider a bogo coupon as a free item and thus won’t accept bogo coupons.

        • Renee

Same for me. In my area Vons will not accept bogo’s.

        • Daniel

I don’t think you’ll have a problem using these at walmart. There is nothing on this coupon that would be against their policies. However I guess it all depends on who’s running the store.

      • Renee

It is a coupon for a free item.

    • meg

I have never had a problem using free coupons at Walmart. However..policies vary greatly between the stores.

Can I use both coupons to purchase one White Cloud Bath Tissue ($1 off coupon) and get a second one for free? (FREE 4-pack coupon)

    • Hunterwoody

I am wondering this too. Rather new to q’s!!!

    • Laura

      No that’s not allowed

  3. Heather

My store won’t accept printable coupons anymore 🙁

  4. Bria

Print out the coupon policy and bring it to the store. They still take printed coupons. I always go thru the self check out to avoid issues.

    • Renee

Whether or not they take printed coupons is at the discretion of each store. They have the right to refuse them, unfortunately.

I’m with you. Since my Walmart installed the self checkouts, I shop there more often. You scan your coupons yourself and so far, I haven’t had a one that wouldn’t scan. Even free coupons and BOGO coupons have automatically scanned for me. I had almost stopped shopping there because the cashiers would put my coupons under a microscope and call for an OK from a manager before even attempting to scan them. The White Cloud 4-roll packs have gone from 2.36 to 1.97 at my store.

I loved using the self checkout too! I would just grab my few coupon items and run them through. Then, all of a sudden the machine would say “wait for assistance” and I would have to wait my turn for help so she could look at coupons and type in her code and manually put them in. Now, they have pieces of paper taped to each self checkout with “Do Not Use Coupons At This Register Please” chicken scratched on with a black sharpie. 🙁

YIKES! If or when that comes to my store, I suppose I’ll just drive on by Walmart again. I am very lucky to have 2 grocery store chains in the area that double coupons every day and have Super Double and Triple events. I do most of my shopping there but there are some good deals at WMT if it isn’t too much of a hassle.

how much do these cost? i’ve never used/bought this brand.

    • Renee

The price will vary by store but it’s pretty good tissue to me. I’ve been using it for years.

    • Suzyq

The 4pk is $2.36 at my store

  6. S

I had $2 off coupons last time and they wouldn’t take -.- walmart the worst

    • Heather

Yup walmart is definately not coupon friendly

      • mel

Same here, and White Cloud is ONLY sold at Walmart. Cashier told me WM doesn’t put out internet coupons!! I said uh, yeah they do, at WM.com. So I asked for a manager and b/c the coupon “beeps” they can’t override it, then she had the nerve to tell me it was a fake b/c only fake coupons beep!! I had to bite my tongue or I would have went off on her. I just said just take it off. Ridiculous!

  7. jennifer

I avoid Walmart but I plan to try to use these coupons so maybe Collin will alert us if white cloud goes on sale, lol.

    • Renee

The White Cloud products aren’t expensive, and they never go on sale.

  8. Jane

I try to only shop at stores that make me smile when I check out and give them money. If Wally’s don’t do it for you, then don’t shop there. Just my policy. I like to feel like I have the upper hand over spending. You know?

  9. Shelly

If your store is not following the Walmart coupon Policy, you need to call 1-800-walmart and report it. They will clear the situation up and you shouldn’t have a problem the next time around. Have your receipt with you when you report because some number on it will tell them who the cashier is and they can find out the manager. I had one tell me I couldn’t use coupons when I price matched that item. I got a call from the store manager himself.

    • Nikki

I was also told Walmart does not accept coupons when you price match items and that this is a new policy that went into effect in January, some stores are following this while others have their own rules, it just depends on where you go.

  10. Brittney

I just used the $1 off and the BOGO coupon. They scanned fine at the self checkout.
