New Video: Target & Kmart Shopping = 50¢ Flip-Flops, a Popcorn Spill, and Flying Monkeys…
In this new shopping video, I head to Kmart and Target. My daughter, Piper, also comes along to coupon shop with me! 🙂 We score great deals on flip-flops, toothpaste, juice boxes, toys, and more…
* Note – I also snagged great deals on air care items (Glade specifically) and Off! products at Target, but adding in these deals would have made the video entirely too long. AND trying to explain the scenarios for these deals on video (without confusing you all!) was quite difficult. How odd…. I am not sure why as it’s working fine for me in both browsers.
Went to a different browser and it worked fine.
A tip about green hair…try wetting Piper’s hair completely before she goes in the pool and see if that helps. It’s some sort of chemical reaction that happens with the chlorine and her hair. If Piper’s hair is completely wet, it won’t absorb pool water and you should be safe. This is what swim coaches suggested for our daughter when she competed.

I had the same problem before, but then one of my kids showed me that the volume was turned down right underneath the video image. I didn’t recall ever changing it, but sure enough, it was all the way down. Hope that helps!

Kind of off the subject, just wondering if anyone’s kids get bladder infections from drinking Capri sun. Mine were complaining it hurt to potty everytime they would drink them, and my kids are kids who also love to drink tons of water, so I don’t think it had anything to do with them not getting enough fluid. Anyone else have this problem? I like CS because they are easy to transport on the go, but unfortunately I had to stop buying them. Great tip with the ketchup, I’ve never heard that before, Piper’s hair looked great! I loved the ending of your video too, so cute! 🙂
I heard years ago it had something to do with them sitting in the sun they grow bacteria. Im not sure the truth in that. Im talking about Capri Suns.
No, Capri Sun, or lack of fluids will cause bladder infections. Bladder infections are caused by bacteria. Were your children diagnosed with bladder infections? It would be a good idea to talk to your pediatrician.
Never diagnosed, they just stop hurting after a few days of not drinking the capri suns. Mine have never been left in the sun, I have them stored in my cold storage room in my basement. My middle son just complained a lot that his private parts hurt when he would drink them so I had him stop for awhile and it went away, then he started drinking them again and he had the same problem. My youngest in diapers would have a strong odor in his wet diapers – but he didn’t say anything so I just eliminated them from all my kids diet. I still have 10+ boxes sitting in my storage, I’ve been taking them to my scounts class each week to get rid of them, but I’m bummed because they were a great drink for on the go. Now we just stick with water bottles:)
Piper is so adorable! Love that name too!!! Seems like you all had a blast. Not too many good deals at Target this week especially since the Glade melts have 6 tabs instead of 8 now. Candles look smaller too but I still did a candle deal. My debit card, however, appreciates the rest but is ready for action next week.

To prevent the green from even starting, wet down her hair and apply a leave in conditioner to it before she goes swimming. Her hair will absorb the water and conditioner and not the chlorine that way! HTH!
Definitely this! My hairstylist told me to do this last summer when I was blonde (because I love to swim). I never had any green issue 🙂 I used a normal conditioner though. I think a leave in or normal would work as long as you apply a good amount and really wet down her hair. Good luck! 🙂

Try to swim less in chlorine treated water. I had a similar problem as a redhead. Swimming in salt water pools is great, and leaves your skin soft.
This is exactly what I was going to say. I had the same neon green hair issues growing up and this worked well!
The red in the ketchup neutralizes the green. If your hair is brassy, you put an ash color on it to neutralize the brassy tone. Never heard of using ketchup, but it makes sense!

I heard you really need to use Ultra Swim shampoo after every use. We used to have green hair too and that worked!

Wish I could stand wearing the Kmart flip flops…but they are so bad =/ The little nubs that hold the thong part into the shoe hurts my feet terribly. They might be good to throw in the car for the spontaneous beach stops we have though…but other than that, I wouldnt make a special trip even for 2/$1.00

Kmart has the snow white and the 7 dwarfs set on sale for 9.99 regularly 20.99. And walmart has the snow white cottage for 14.88, regularly 32.00. Just got it for my daughter. And getting another set for a 1st birthday in august I will be going to.

Thanks Collins for all the Target deals! It was great seeing you and Piper going shopping. My two teenage daughters hate shopping w/me due to coupons. Take took long. I go to my Supertarget several times a week only because my daughter volunteers and I don’t want to have to go home and go back. I rather spend $$ on Target. LOL! I am a little confused with the cartweel. Does the % come off after both manuf. and store coupon or just store coupon?
Target first takes off the Target store coupon, then Cartwheel %, then manufacturer coupon. So a $10 item with $2 Tq, 50% Cartwheel and $2 mfc would be $8 after Target coupon, $4 after Cartwheel minus the $2 manufacturer coupon would mean you will pay $2 plus tax, if applicable. It may seem like a bit of work but it’s definitely worth it.
I wish the cartwheel app would update properly:( I saved a ton during the “global outage” and it has yet to update. Of course it was when there was 40% off patio furniture -so that can equal huge savings and total savings. Thankfully I got the discount but I would love to have my extra spots!!
