As I mentioned last week, Kmart is doubling manufacturer’s coupons up to $2 for all Shop Your Way Rewards Members! Note that there is a limit 5 coupons per customer per day and doubling a coupon cannot exceed the current price of a retail item – no cash or in-store purchase credit will be awarded for any amount exceeding the retail price of the item. There is also a limit of 4 purchases of the same item.

It doesn’t print as a catalina, it prints as a coupon as part of your receipt… If you said to just e-mail receipt you might not have gotten it??? also, you can’t pay with points or it won’t print…

Richard, that is correct. You can use 5 coupons, but you can only get 4 of the same item. (See the note at the very beginning of the post.)
Yes only 5 per day! And yes they are watching this and your shop your way card will only double 5 doing more then one transaction will not work, your card stops after the 5 double!
Not true! They may be restricting it at store level but I did more than one transaction and all coupons doubled,
When I heard about this deal I was so excited and thought I would give it a try.. I went in and grabbed 4 of the unstoppables and found a swiffer starter kit for only $4.79 and I had a $2.00 off printable coupon for it. I got up to the checkout and the girl behind the counter took a look at my coupons and told me that I could only use 4 P&G brand coupons and that the “like” coupons meant brand vs actual coupon. I argued with her and the supervisor that she called over.. finally they tried running the coupons through, and it worked, but the whole check out process took a half hour for only 5 items!! Between that and being made to feel like I was doing something “illegal”, it just isn’t worth shopping there anymore. Our Kmart is HORRIBLE! Good luck to anyone else that tries heading in there this week…
I had a horrible experience with trying to double my coupons at Kmart as well. The cashier and manager were both very irritated at me for using my $2.00 coupons. In the end, two of my coupons didn’t scan correctly. I was charged $8 more than I should have been charged and I waited in the line for 30 minutes. I had my two year old with me and just wanted to leave. It wasn’t a a good experience at all. Gave me a major headache.

This happened to me too. I had 4 downeys but the dumb cashier told me I can only use one because its said “one per purchase”. After I tried to painfully explain to her what that really meant(I mean really, if thats true why would they tell me limit 4 per person, aaargh) she wouldn’t budge and called her superior who understood but the damage was done since the whole check out proxess was 30 min long.

I asked the service desk if they double 2.00 coupons … they stated only 1.00 for 2.00. So I didn’t see the point. I still walked around looking to see if I could score some deals but didn’t really see anything since I was only looking at doubling 1.00 to 2.00. Is there something written somewhere where it states 2.00 coupons doubling to 4.00? Also, is the register automatically doubling or does the cashier type it in?
They will double a $2.00 coupon, so if it’s $2.00 off and the product is $4.97 you pay only .97 cents.
I understand 2.00 would be 4.00 but my issue is that the store is telling me that they will only double coupons up to 1.00 making it 2.00. Where can I find something that states the original coupon can be for 2.00 making it 4.00?
OMG this is why I hate Kmart. Yes it says in the ad that that are doubling coupons up to $2. This means $2= $4 and so on. The register will do it automatically.Try pointing out the tide pods/downy unstoppables deal in the ad. It shows it priced at $5.49 and then $1.49 final price after $2 coupon doubles.
OK. Here is what you do. Show then the ad example with the tide senerio. That shies an example of it doubling to 4. They will have to comply. Happy couponing.

I think the confusion is that my kmart thinks the “up to 2.00” on the flyer means 1.00 coupons double to 2.00 and therefore they think 1.00 is this highest amount the coupon amount can be for (before doubling). It was an exciting thought of being able to double coupons in my area because no where does … but it just doesn’t seem worth all the aggravation for 5 items.
I went yesterday to get downy unstoppable, but the shelves were empty 🙁 also the tide shelves… just got 2 fiber one boxes and a febreeze product. $0.50 each
I got aveeno cleansing pads (value of $5.99) had a $2 off one coupon which doubled to $4 making it $1.99
Worst experience there today. Most products I wanted not available. They also won’t double coupons on any bogo promo. Fought to get the 5 only wanted to give me 4 and they argued about $2 coupons. Said only up to $2 not including. Even after I showed the flier that gives $2 back mgr caused a stink. Ugh. No more Kmart shopping.
The flyer states (as with most stores) that BOGO coupons do not double (you will not get 2 free unless purchasing 2 at full price). It also states you can only get 4 like items.
The Tide was OOS at my store so I purchased 4 gain flings for 4 of my coupons and my 5th was a pantene conditioner. I had more of the Tide/gain coupons but the coupon itself says only 4 in a transaction and Kmart said the same.
Before freaking out on store personnel and making us all look bad please read the fine print and the rest of tbe posts here that state the rules/restrictions.
She is not “making us all look bad”! No reason to be rude to her. Everyone makes mistakes and store policies can be confusing. Try being nice.
Kmart is a hassle and they are difficult to deal with as they argue about every coupon you want to redeem. I get excited every time they run this and by the time the promo is over I feel like never using a coupon again…yet I still go as it is fun to hunt down the deals.
Before posting, why don’t you actually take a minute to comprehend what someone posts. She is not talking about bogo coupons. She is taking about a bogo sale and using coupons on top of that. So judgmental….

My cashier today was a bitch, she tried finding something wrong with 2 of my coupons so i wont get the deals so hell yea i argued with her and i showed her that the coupon and the item matched. Im not stupid i know how to use coupons.
I bought a pack of pampers baby dry for $9.89, used a $2 coupon so only $5.89! I’m going back for more this week!
I thought the double coupons deal was only for health & beauty and grocery.. are diapers considered grocery, like paper towels and laundry detergent are grocery?
I went today and yesterday. The only issue was one coupon didn’t double yesterday but they refund me the difference. I’m going back tomorrow. I’m pretty sure all the febreze air effects are gone. I saw about 3 different ladies that had problem 15 or more in their carts. And their coupon binders were out. They did multiple transactions.
I went today and the cashier let me do two separate transactions of 5 items each. I got tampons for .79 cents and bic razors for .79 cents. Also got simply face wipes for $2. The cashier gave me a hard time about some of the coupons but after reading the fine print she took them.

I got energizer batteries. My 8pk AA batteries were on sale for $7.79 + B1G1F so $7.79 for both. Used (2) $1.00/1 coupons that doubled to $2.00/1 and paid $3.79+tax for 2 packs!
Also got Wherthers candy free. They are $1.50 and there is a $1.00/1 coupon on their facebook page so it doubles to $1.50 (no overage given)
Pillsbury frosting is $1.50 and used $0.55/1 coupons from coupons.com which doubled to $1.10/1 making them only $0.40ea

On the Kmart site search, “Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care” Then search prices from low to high to see a lot more options. When they come up they will be priced at $6.99. The fine print says you won’t get your cash back if you order anything else and you must pick it up in-store.

Horrible horrible experience. “oh, you can’t get that for free” I think these cashiers are improperly trained, and a total shame that a customer has more knowledge of their registers than they do. I had started going back to KMart b/c of the free points, and found myself spending a little more each week. But after the ignorance today, I will not be going back.

Kmart use to do this frequently a couple years ago and there was not a 5 coupon limit then. I remember people were incredibly rude and hostile at Kmart then. I had forgotten this and went in to Kmart yesterday with 5 coupons – when a coupon would not ring the service counter clerk was called for help she walked off with my coupon all the way to the jewelry counter and asked another person then came back and made up reasons why I could not use the coupon. So I said take the item off and I will buy it somewhere else. The attitude was completely rude and I was being very nice as well the coupon went with the item I was purchasing.
I, too, have had a horrible experience at Kmart with this. I’m located in Southeastern PA. I’ve tried (and driven like ten miles to each one!) two different stores and each resulted in the same headache. The first store, the cashier looked at me like an alien for even handing her printed coupons. The second store, nothing doubled. I had several items planned out like febreze and a few things that were actually clearance, but wound up just wasting my time – really.

Kmart is an absolutely AWFUL store. No wonder so many are going out of business!! They would not accept coupons from coupons.com -said that they only accept manufacturer’s coupons not third party coupons. The coupons.com said manufacturer’s coupon on it. The register beeped and they shrugged their shoulders. The store is a nightmare to deal with and the lines are long and the employees at my store are clueless!! Not a good combination.

I haven’t had any problems with coupons scanning and my cashiers have been friendly. 🙂 I’ve scored free Lancaster Caramels, Dry Idea deodorant, RIght Guard Xtreme deodorant, Mitchum deodorant, Milky Way bites, 2 Herbal Essences body washes, and 4 Reach toothbrushes. On my transaction today I paid $0.03 and got a $2 bonus (in SYWR points) for buying the toothbrushes. Woohoo! 🙂

I went Sunday and today and got 5 boxes of Tampax Pearl tampons, 3 Tide Pods, 1 Downy Scentsable, and 1 Clairol Nice n Easy hair dye. I only had a problem with the Clairol coupon but after making sure I bought the right name brand, the cashier deducted it off my bill. I spent about $14 including tax so far and I am making sure I go everyday!
I snagged some free Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids with a $1/2 coupon. I also got free Milky Way bites and found a Clip On! Off starter kit for $7, so $3 after my $2 coupon doubled.
I tried to use febreze coupon for car febreze and the cashier was not able to scan it,so he told me that it must be travel size n I said no it is the only size and the most hilarious part he told me that it is travel item Bcoz it is used in car.lol.i asked him to ask someone else about it,n thn a girl came rolling her eyes n said she can’t explain why the coupon is not working so she will enter it manually..ughhh
I went and used points i had received from the grilling deal awhile back. Spent 50000 in points for 4 tide, 1 bounce, 2 downey, 1 large charmin, and a tracphone. Got 10 off of 10 coupon back (pg deal), 10 pg rebate, and 10,000 sywr points back.

I went last night and had a very young cashier (probably still in High School) she didn’t know much about coupons. I bought 5 items and she had trouble with each coupon. Finally after about 10 minutes she got all of them to work. She was polite, but poorly trained. I like Kmart, I’m always getting free money between Shopyourway rewards and gift cards from the pharmacy, but I do believe they need better training.
I was told that my store doesn’t accept coupons printed from the Internet. Is that true for all Kmarts? Does each store make up their own rules, or did the cashier just not know what he was talking about? I waited in line so long that it just didn’t seem worth it to me for a couple of items to wait even longer for someone else to weigh in on the issue. I always go to Kmart with high hopes, but usually leave disappointed. I have a lot of issues with SYW and just the check-out process in general.
Not sure how kmart is but I work at another grocery chain. We accept printed coupons, but only if they scan at the register, you can’t key them in manually. It’s actually in the coupon policy to help aid in fraud as, unfortunately, some people do take advantage of it and photocopy or make there own. But it is frustrating for the ones who actually use it correctly. Not sure if that is how kmart works, some stores are very strict on that. I’d ask for the coupon policy from corporate if they don’t give you one at store level. 🙂
What is RP. Stand for when they refer to a coupon being from a date then the letters RP
RP means the Red Plum insert in your newspaper. The date is the date of the newspaper it came in.
I’m not trying to be a bi*** or rude about this but the only downfall that I see for people doing multiple transactions is that apparently just because Kmarts systems are letting you get away with it doesn’t mean that it’s okay. Intentional misuse could have your cards suspended. It has happened to many people before.
went to kmart today to pick up my online order 2 free items using the sywr points from the ad last wk. I dont need any of the items that people are getting cheap got my order and left. Dont like the store usually order stuff online and every time the cashier takes for ever or they dont know how to use the register sometimes I have told them what to do and there is always long….lines and take forever with customers.

I used to live near the Joliet, IL Kmart and they were horribly rude and never helpful. I moved and now the closest Kmart to me is in Bradley, IL and those folks in there are so freakin kind and coupon friendly. I’ve asked a cashier a question and he told me honestly he didn’t know so he got a manger to help.
Well I went like an idiot. Had two printed coupons I wanted to use. I asked if they were doubling. They said yes. Gave two Simple Cleanser $2.00 off coupons. They scanned but then the computer beeped and the manager said they got a memo from corporate saying to refuse all printed coupons because they were all fraud. I guess printing them from Coupons.com makes me a criminal. I give up.

The only reason I shop at this store is for the free stuff. I would never go there otherwise. It’s an old story, not run well and most of the people look like and act like they are just hating their jobs.

You should be able to give them your phone number.
you can usually give them the phone number associated with your account and they can type it in and find your card that way.

I have gone every day since Sunday and have gotten great deals 24 tubes crest toothpaste for 19$ tide pods so dirt cheap plus bentiful dog food too
