Just received my third cancellation notice (a beanbag chair and 4 pillows — two big, two small). I had split them up in two transactions and added two shirts to one order, which have already shipped.
To echo others, it must’ve been a glitch. Far fewer items come up now on the website when you search “Majestic Home Goods” — all items that were discounted have been pulled.
Does anyone know if there is any recourse? Is Kohl’s obligated to provide a similar item or can they just cancel at will?

I just received 2 cancellation notices… I had ordered 3 items, wondering if the third one is going to be cancelled as well. I’m really bummed / annoyed, I was excited for what I ordered, it matched my nursery perfectly! Makes me angry at Kohls!!!
For what it’s worth, I also had my order canceled today – three beanbag loungers and three matching beanbag ottomans. They said the items were out of stock. When I asked if there would be any more coming into stock she told me that there was, and they should be on the Kohl’s website in a week or so. She was going to make notes in my order that Kohl’s would honor the $10 extra, plus the free shipping and the extra 30% off codes. That way I could still take advantage of them when they come back into stock. However, I’d be shocked if they are at this discounted price when they do! Always have bad experiences with Kohl’s deals. I’ve learned that if it seems like a great deal – it will get canceled. Every. Single. Time.
All my orders were cancelled, too–however, in each one, I had added something small, like a pair of flip-flops, to make it over $30. It’s showing that I still received my $10 discount, making those items free, and I’ve already received them. So, at least I got something out of it.
So disappointed! I was excited to create my new meditation space with some kick it chairs, bean bags, etc. All of my orders were cancelled as well. BUMMER!

Yep…just got cancelled also. I don’t know why I am surprised. The same thing happened to me a year ago at Christmas when they had a great deal on a Keurig.
Very disappointed that almost a week after placing the order, they send out emails that system cancellation. Do they not know how many are in stock when they sell them? I know I’ve had things come up not available after I clicked. *sigh*
Calling them now. It seems to me that the main problems with Kohl’s are that they run out of stock, don’t have a computer system that actually monitors inventory and the BIG one….they don’t want to honor the sale prices when the products come back in stock. Other companies just backorder or give you a choice of cancelling. Plus, my gift card I used is now empty….arrrgghhh!
I’m done shopping at Kohls and their “great” deals! After ordering most of my Christmas the day after Thanksgiving and getting it all cancelled at the last minute after repeated phone calls and promises that it all would be there by Christmas and it wasn’t…and now this? Really, I thought they would learn from their last mistake, not hoping to take the chance with them again!
Yup mine was cancelled. The email stated that my kohls cash has been restored, so I tried to make a new purchase today and I got a error message saying that the code has expired. I called customer service and she said to refresh my browser or she can push the order through but I wasn’t ready to submit my order, I just want a code that works! I give up, never shopping there again.
They are saying it will take 2 days to refund the amount to my gift card. I also was told that the items are out of stock and scheduled to be back in stock within 2 weeks. I asked to be left as a backorder and was told no. I asked if they would honor the sale price of my original order and they said no on that also…KOHLS!!! Ridiculous!!!
I wish I had ordered a bunch more and earned TONS of Kohl’s cash for my trouble. Would have been a nice way to earn some free money. Next time I will remember 🙂 Yes, they will still honor the Kohl’s cash. If it seems to good to be true….order tons of it!

I too added small extras to my order to make each one over $30. Interested to see what my actual credit will be for as I used a friends kohls card to get the better price. I am not to familiar with Kohl’s at all.
I tried my Kohls cash that I earned from my canceled order and it still works:). They better keep that if they want happy customers after the cancellation.
Well just like everyone else my order was cancelled!!! They said since it wasn’t my fault they would honor my Kohl’s cash. They even said they couldn’t find the items in the computer any more! This sucks!!

All six of my items were cancelled. 🙁 I wonder if it was a mistake?? The items were so cheap and the original cost was ridiculous!
Someone in an earlier post said she spoke to Kohls and they said the item does not ship from the warehouse, but directly from the vendor…then another person said they spoke to the vendor in California directly and was told that there was a glitch in the computer system that the items I ordered were still in stock and said she should hear something in a day or so.

They probably noticed they had major errors on all the prices for the Majestic Home Goods line and pulled the entire line off of the website before they shipped and lost the money.
Pfffft…I agree with the person who said next time something looks to good to be true and you can earn Kohls cash, load up your cart….the only thing it seems Kohls will stand by is the Kohls cash. I wish I would have bought 50 of these now!! Lol
Plus, when I spoke the the CSR about my order and I said they get cancelled all the time when it’s a great sale, he said “Miss…I assure you, this HARDLY ever happens!!” I just bit my tongue….
Does anyone know if this is legal? I have told a couple of people about the orders being cancelled and they mentioned that Kohls could be in trouble for false advertising and should have to honor the amounts they posted and give you a rain check for when its back in stock.
Anyone know what you can do about that? Seems really unfair! They likely screwed up on the advertised price but doesn’t seem like they should just be able to cancel all the orders.
My order was cancelled. I called since I used a gift card for part of payment and then (stupidly) threw it away because my order was “in fulfillment”
They told me on the phone that all orders got cancelled due to a pricing error on their site. Seems this *HOT* deal was really a big error! She told me they will not be honoring them and directed me to their website which states Pricing errors will not be honored.

I, like everyone else, am really disappointed! I ordered my kids the lounger chairs and a bean bag chair for my niece. The prices were great on the items and the regular price listed was largely inflated. I suppose there isn’t anything we can do. 🙁

I spoke to a Kohl’s customer service supervisor and he informed me that these items were coming straight from the vendor and Kohl’s has no control over their inventory. I stressed how upsetting this is to many customers and I said that Kohl’s needed to quit doing business with this vendor, because it is poor customer service and inaccurate inventory. he said he would pass it along to corporate. This is not the first time Kohl’s has done this. Very disappointed with them. Did anyone receive their order?

CANCELLED! Kohls is really starting to annoy me. It seems every single time I order online (super deal or not) I have a problem of some sort. They ship one item at a time, weeks apart, or it is just flat out cancelled. I am done with them.

My order was also cancelled. I noticed that kohls Facebook page had some people posting about their cancellation and their frustration. If everyone would post and they are flooded with complaints maybe they would do something more.
I just got off the phone with Kohls. A very helpful CR said the kick-it chairs and ottomans I ordered are out of stock but should come back into stock. I am to call back next week and hopefully they are in stock They will honor the pricing with free shipping as my original order! I am hoping my call next week gets a new order number! If you didn’t get a positive response with the customer representative you first called try again. Keeping my fingers crossed!
