Yes they do! However they are great back packs and you might never have an issue. I still have mine from high school. If you do have an issue though they will replace the bag no matter how old it is.

They are one time use codes that are on the back of SOME of the catalogs they mail. I tried to see if the code could be used again so i could share it with you but it said it had already been used. Sorry

I just ordered the deluxe one today( for my daughter) for 19.96 after my$10 code. I ordered my son one when he was in the 6th grade, and now he is going to the 11th. They are really good backpacks.
I also called for a code and was told I could not apply the code to my order based on the item not being in the catalog the code was sent with. I did not feel that sounded right so I called back, talked to another salesperson and was given the code! My backpack will be here next week with my total of $4.99!! Never take no for an answer and be persistent!!!
The codes are only on mailed catalogs. They have excellent customer service, that is why you got one. I don’t think people should brag about calling over and over just to complain about not receiving a code. These bags are already a great value at this price, and the $10 code was only meant for customers currently on the mailing list.

I am on their mailing list and did not receive a catalog this time around. So, I called cust. service to let them know very nicely that I did not receive a catalog and that others were receiving $10 off and they very kindly helped me out and applied $10 off to my order! So, $4.99 shipped!
For kindergarten, I bought my son one of those $20 character backpacks and it was literally falling apart at the seams by the end of the year. So last summer when the LL Bean backpacks went on sale I bought one with a comic book pattern and my son used it for 1st grade. The backpack literally looks brand new. I’m so glad I got it for him and I know it’ll last a good 5-10 years.

I bought one of these for my daughter for preschool and she destroyed it, it has tears in the fabric and the zipper pulls are broken. I still have mine from high school that is the next size up and I have a more expensive version I use for work daily that has also taken a beating and has no issues. I’m not sure if it is this model or if my daughter who was 3-4 using it was too rough, but it did not last. I am going to see what they will do about it. I did get it after back to school at the outlet for $7.

Apparently these are last years print (I don’t mind at all!!) and have been taken off the website, however if you call and describe it as well as give them the item# they will honor the $14.99 awesome deal with no shipping!!!
