I just put in a code for $10 they sent in a catalog and I got one for $4.99 shipped!
They really do stand behind their product! I had one of their backpacks last me from junior high through most of college. When the strap broke, they didn’t off that particular bag anymore & couldn’t fix it, so they sent me a brand new one that was even better than the one I had. I’ve had that backpack for 14 years now & it’s still in great shape!

Highly recommend LLBean backpacks. I used to buy 1 or 2 sometimes even more per school year at the local stores. You know the cheap/character ones. Bought each of my kids one when they entered 5th grade and they carried it until high school. The backpacks themselves were still in great shape just dirty from years of use. Bought them each another and they used them beyond high school into college. Tough as iron!
My sister is 30 years old and still uses her LLBean backpack she received in 6th grade.
Throw it in the wash machine on cold.. They come out looking brand new!! I wash my kids after each school year (and their lunch totes) and they look awesome!
Do you put the llbean lunch boxes through the washing machine? Do they take on water in between the inner and outer layers? Do they maintain their shape? I might have to try this. How do boys get the outsides of their lunch boxes so dirty?!
I do put them in the washer, on cold, and then air dry.

I bought the red one for my 7 year old last time. At first he didn’t love it until he saw all the cool pockets and stuff it has in the front. Also when I told him it wasn’t going to break the zippers like all his other ones have. My daughter loved the girl one too!
LL Bean backpacks are the best. They are built well and will last for many years. All my kids own one. They look brand new. They are well engineered so as to be padded in the correct places and have a belt strap if you want to use it. They are designed not to give the kids back problems. They also have a large reflective stripe built in. I found that the cheapy ones were not worth it.
