Thnx Collin..I read the review at Petsmart..but does anyone on her have this system..I have gone from Fresh step with 3 cats..to Dr. Elseys.. So how does this really work..not to be too TMI..:-) but I understand the urine goes onto the pad..what about the poopies? And how often do you change out pads and pellets. just curious..thnx

I’m a vet tech that both recommends this system and uses it. I have one cat and this is the only system she has ever used. I usually change the pad every 2 weeks and the pellets every 2 months-this is longer than the recommended time but it works for us. The poop lays on top of the pellets, I scoop and flush it daily. I’ve only ever used the refills from tidy cats but there is a generic pad on Amazon you can buy in bulk to help the cost with multiple cats. Hope this helps!

I have this system and love it. We also stretch the pellets longer than a month but change the pee pad weekly. We have only one cat that uses this box and it sits in our bathroom without any smell. My mother in law uses this system in her 5th wheel, with the box right next to her bed. I have found that our Wal-Mart carries the refill pads and pellets for less than the pet stores. Hth.

I had the system. My cat hated it and to let me know she decided to pee right next to it on the carpet. No, there were no health issues and I took her to the vet to confirm. As soon as I gave her back her traditional litter box she immediately stopped urinating outside the box.

Anyone know of coupons for the pellets and pads? I can never find those. Thanks!

I had one cat that used regular Arm & Hammer litter for a couple years. Litter went everywhere as well as down the hall and onto my furniture when it stuck to his feet. Last year I adopted another kitty and had 2 using the litter box and decided to get another box. I also decided that there had to be something better out there than the smell and the mess I currently had going on. So after reading tons of reviews (mostly all positive) I took a leap and purchased the system at Pet Smart. The cashier said I could return it if it didn’t work out. I believe the system comes with a bag of pellets and a couple pads. It wasn’t until I opened the box at home that I found several coupons for the system ($10) as well as some for pellets and pads. Grrrr!! I put the Breeze system next to the other litter box and they used both right away. At the end of the week I was ready to buy another Breeze system. They had no problems with the transition. Oh I did find it on sale (they run around $30?) and I used all my coupons to buy it and more pellets and pads. I also had some Petco bucks and they will take Pet Smart Qpons and/or match their sale prices. So now I have 2 cats and 2 systems next to each other in my laundry room and it works great for me and my cats. I really don’t change the pellets (some people have said they wash them and reuse them) I just add another bag when it looks like it needs it. My cats like to dig a hole then “go” so I usually have 2 bags in each. The pads go in a little drawer underneath when they pee and I change the pad about once a week (sometimes twice). I have tried other brand pads but always came back to the Breeze pads. I find that when Pet Smart or Petco has a sale plus free shipping I will order the pads from them. They won’t ship the pellets. Last month I ordered a bulk order or the pads and pellets from Amazon. It was cheaper than the pet stores and they delivered both for free.
I never flush the poop because some pellets do stick to it. Especially when they have a non-solid poop…which is quite often with one of them. They both tend to make several pellets fly out of the box but we just pick them up and toss them back in so be prepared for that. Still not as bad as having the regular litter all over the floor! There is practically no smell at all unless u are standing there when they poop. Ugh! Lol! I would ask the manager if u could open the box so u could use the aprons and then get a pkg of pads and a bag of the pellets then order the rest from Amazon. Try the Breeze. I love it and glad I have two. Whew that was a lot of typing.

We have 2 cats, 2 litter boxes. I have religiously used Tidy Cat clumping litter for 8-9 years..I can get 35 lb container for about $12.50 and scoop 1-2 times per day. I add a little new litter to both boxes once per day. Pour out, clean and refill with new clean litter each month. 35 lb Tidy Cat litter only lasts me one month with this system. How does the pellets and pads compare in price with what I am doing? Anyone know?

I’ve been using this system for two years now and much prefer it over traditional cat litter. We have two cats and both we fine switching to it after a few days. I buy the pellets and pads through Amazon. Overall it’s prob slightly more expensive than the traditional litter but much cleaner and smell-friendly. The poop odor goes away after a minute or two (like a human) and the pee odor is non-existent.

My cat likes this. Keep the pellets longer than a month but change pad weekly. The pad thing is similar to that of a puppy pad which I guess you could use but you need to change it more often for non-stinky smell. I find these pads work better, I get then on http://www.PetFlow.com
