I really want to buy this for my brother’s new baby but they live in New Zealand. Anyone knows some great site sell baby stuff and shipp to NZ?

On a site note: I can definitely see Walmart has been working hard to bring some great deals lately, and Kmart on the other hand.

    • Cannielle

Kmart is just trying harder and harder to run people off.

Thank you! Expecting in December and a deluxe Rock ‘n’ Play was the only thing I really wanted new. So happy!!

I haven’t used this, but would recommend it. My daughter never took to her cradle, pack n play, or crib…she needed something that cuddled her, like her fisher price snuggle bunny bouncer. I think she feels more secure in it gc it’s not as “open” as the other items were.

Don’t forger 1% cash back for Ebates!

Loved loved loved this for my daughter!!! She felt snuggled and secure and was at an angle which was great for her reflux. We tried everything before we found this!! And it was great for traveling. We used it until she was 6 months old.

Thank you so much! Last thing I needed before my daughter arrives 🙂

Is this sleeper only for newborn babies or can it be used for older infants too..??

    • Jennifer

I used it until my daughter was 6 months old… Until they can physically pull themselves up to sitting position. Loved it!

      • Monika

Same with me. It was a life – saver. She wouldn’t take a nap anywhere else. Her colic improved because of the angle of the rock n play, (I had the monkey one bought at Target for around 75 $)

My Daughter slept in one until she was 6 months old..her head is fine. Nor even a flat spot. Somebody will find something wrong with every baby product.

    • simpleme

My daughter slept in hers from the day she was brought home from the hospital (3 days after she was born) until she was about 6 months. At 6 months she was able to pull herself up so it was dangerous. But after she started walking and climbing at about a year she went right back to use it for naps, because she wanted too sleep in it. She would climb right in and climb right out. Shell be 3 soon and still goes on it lol It really was a life saver! I highly recommend one!

I heard a lot about the flat head problem too and I can see why because there is not cushioning at all under the baby’s head. I laid a thick towel under the material the baby sleeps on between it and the hard “skeleton” of the rock n play and I thought that helped a lot. I kept my two children in until they outgrew it too.

      • H

I wasn’t saying not to use it. And I’m sure 99.9 percent of babies will be just fine using it. I was just letting people know it does increase risk of SIDS if you let your baby sleep in it unsupervised. What you do with that knowledge is up to you.

        • DJA

My baby was ( and still is at over a year ) the world’s worst sleeper. She actually would go several Hours in this and only wake up 2-3x a night (before in her crib was almost every hour). I highly recommend it!! I definitely plan on using it with my next baby. Also have known many babies that did great in these that had reflux. And if you need another reason, it’s fabulous to travel with. So much easier than lugging a heavy pack and play or something like that. It was actually bought for me by a family member who is a pediatrician and said they are fine for baby

    • Monika

Doctors change their minds on whats safe and unsafe for babies all the time. In my mom’s time they recommended to put the babies on their belly to sleep because putting them on their back would cause them to choke on spit, they said. Nowadays the doctor told me to STRAP my baby down with a blanket to stop her from trying to roll on her side. I actually listened to this crazy talk and strapped her down for several days until her heartbreaking cry make me snap out of it. She slept fine in the rock n play after that, with a smile on her face and completely safe next to my bed, in arms reach. I swear, all this CIO and making the baby lie on her back no matter what, is simply idiotic.

I LOVE this product! My baby sleeps in one every night. It’s pulled right up next to my bed with her feet by my head so we can look at each other…so sweet!

Could someone PLEASE explain to me the difference between the deluxe newborn rock ‘n play sleeper and the deluxe newborn rock ‘n play sleeper with vibrations? Walmart sells both and they have different item numbers so I know they are different.

    • Megan

The older version of the rock n play didn’t have a vibrate feature on it. So maybe they are still selling them? The one in this link does have the vibrate though, even though it doesn’t say it in the name. You can see the vibrate button on the side of the seat and it’s listed in the features. So I don’t know why they’re listed differently, because they should be exactly the same.

Used this for my first son for many months because of his bad reflux. No problems with the shape of his head. Also use one for my newborn now.

For the record, my little girl did get a flat spot, and she did sleep in a rock n play at night til she was 3 months. However, a rock n play is no different than a swing or a bouncer or a car seat. If you leave a baby in them for too long without changing their head position, they can develop a flat spot. I think our rock n play contributed but that our baby’s flat spot was actually mostly from her car seat. According to our head specialist though, babies are predisposed genetically to be more susceptible to getting a flat spot, and so they don’t happen to all babies the same. For my daughter, she was born with a tightening of her muscles on one side of her neck that made it so she would just move her head back into the same position any time we rotated it, even before she could hold her head on her own, whether in the rock n play or the swing, or the car seat. After some therapy, the issue was resolved, and the flat spot eventually went away when she learned to roll to her belly and sit up. We loved the rock n play for reflux, and will use it again for our next child. We will just be hyper vigilant to rotate his/her head position and be aware of any potential muscle problems earlier on.

I would love to get one of these for my niece.
