   Anyone else just store their bread in the microwave? My family has always done this and we get some crazy looks when company is over. It’s an air-tight container just sitting on the counter any way. Lol

  My Mom keeps cakes and such in hers. Everyone that comes to her house goes to the microwave to check for goodies!

  We have always kept our bread in the microwave. Part of it was because our dog would get it off the counter, but we continued after she was gone. My mom just had a big serving platter that we put in there, then if we needed to use the microwave you just picked up one thing instead of multiple bags of bread lol

  Thought only I did this. Microwave IS airtight and keeps bread fresh for WEEKS. I have some wheat bread in there for 2 weeks now and it is fresh as the day I got it. I have a huge microwave, so can store 3 or 4 loaves easily.

  Freeze bread as soon as you get it if you get a lot. Costco sells two big loaves cheap. One goes in the microwave the other goes in the freezer, just as it is. When I run out of one in microwave, I just put the frozen one in microwave.

  I keep English muffins in there as well. Best ‘bread box’ I ever owned. Not throwing bread away any more like I used to.

   I keep looking at this thinking it could really be a multi purpose storage. Colorful way to hide clutter on desk, etc.
