Yesterday my store let me substitute another mega blocks item that was the same price as the one on special. It’s very YMMV, but it never hurts to ask. I think they are trying to be more customer service driven these days so they might give a rain check.
How can I get a hold of these Target coupons?! Not sure why I wouldn’t have received the book in the mail 🙁 I get things from them usually since I have an open baby registry there. Can you sign up to receive one somewhere?

In years past I’ve seen the toy catalog available in the stores over by the customer service area but they go fast.

I didn’t get a toy catalog either. I did contact them and they said they only mailed it to certain people. They said the catalogs are not available in store and they will not send anymore out. They were supposedly in 11/2 paper. But I didn’t get one.
Our grocery store (Kroger) sells the Sunday paper all week long. Maybe you could look for a newspaper that has the toy catalog included!

Every day, the 50% off toy sells out in 30 min of store opening….here’s an idea…order it online at full price for in store pickup if it’s available at your store before it opens. Go pickup. Return it and repurchase it with the coupon and cartwheel. I’m going to try this for my next toy that I want. Fingers crossed that it works!
I tried this once. Returned item to repurchase, and the return had to be put in a bin for restocking. I had to go to the shelf to get another item. They may not resell you the same item you just returned. This may just be my store – not sure if it is company policy.
This is true. They are not going to hand it back to you after you return it. It goes into a bin for returns. I think they go through a checking process

I checked before my store even opened and it was out of stock. This was at like 3 am. I’m a little ticked off over it. Why post an offer when no stores carry it.
You shouldn’t need to return it.. At my store if I forget a cartwheel or a coupon or if an item has a huge markdown a day or two after I bought it I just go to customer service with my receipt and ask for a price adjustment.. they always do it and I have never had any issues!
Does this work if you order it the day of the deal for in store pick up? I’m hoping to pick up tonight and do the cartwheel adjustment…
My target book came in the Arkansas newspaper on Sunday.
😞these sold out really quickly. My sister was at our local store 45 minutes after they opened and they were gone and the closest stores with any in stock were over an hour away. I’ll make sure to be there as soon as they open on Saturday for the Our Generation Dolls.

Where are you seeing a preview on the toys? My store was out but they’ve been on sale all week. Plus the shelf holds maybe 4. Frustrating for sure. Closest store was an hour away. For those mentioning ordering online for pickup in the store can be risky. I’ve done that and by the time an associate went to fill the order items were gone and my order cancelled.
They r sold out of everything for all the cartwheel offers for this week cuz people r buying n returning to use this. Many people have called corporate and this is supposed to be stopped.
Is there a master list somewhere of the upcoming deals, or is it wait and see everyday? Most of these toys seem to be for little girls, I’d love to see some things for bigger kids. :/

I was at my store when they opened and they were already sold out. There were only 3 of them in stock last night and they were purchased sometime after 8pm (presumably by people who would return and rebuy today). The UPCs are posted online so you know what they are ahead of time. We talked to a manager and they let us substitute another item as they only had limited stock to start.
I never got the catalog with coupons anyone know where to get one?

Sometimes the Target website will say something isn’t available in-store, but it is. 🙂 I’m not saying this is the case with these 50% off toys, but just something to remember. It happened to me yesterday. A sweater I was looking for said it wasn’t in stock, but it was!
Online it said that my store had one, but I called and they said they did not 🙁

I was at my target when they opened, the substituted a similar priced minnie toy for me and another customer since they were out.

I was at my target just outside of memphis( olive branch, ms) at 8. I looked on line and their web site said this target had limited quantity. The manager said they never had them and there were only 10 in the Memphis area. Why does target put merchandise on sale if they are not going to stock their stores?

My stores were out locally but I went online and put it in my cart, checked out with my red debit target card, total was $17.09 with free shipping, called customer service and they then applied the 50% off for me since my local stores were out! Got it without having to drive around for $9!! Yay!

Ordered it this morning to pick-up & got the email later that the item was out of stock. had the option of ordering it online or cancelling it. so I called the customer service and asked like you did. sure enough, they gave my credit for the 50%. They made my day! I have to give the guy a heads up at Target for being so helpful!No driving around, free shipping & the doll cost me $9.00 plus tax! Yay! 🙂
thank you guys for posting that you called customer service I had placed an order in the morning and then also received an email saying it was out if stock so I cancelled it but when i saw your post I called customer service to see if they could honor the cartwheel deal online and the first customer service agent said its a one day thing and he can’t do anything for me, so I called again this agent was super helpful and helped me get my discount and my minnie is being shipped home! thanks again 🙂

How silly…. I just called customer service to try to do the same thing Melissa did and asked if they could apply a 50% discount to my order, and they said absolutely not, that they would never apply a one-day only in-store discount to an online or over the phone order. It drives me nuts when every customer service agent goes by a different policy!!
There was a line at my Target this morning waiting for the doors to open to get the Minnie doll. There was only one in stock. I know these 50% off Cartwheels are to try to get people in the door but it would be nice if they actually had stock available.

I went at 8:05 am to the one in Grand Forks and there was only one on the shelf. I did the mega bloks one earlier this week and had to ask them to check in the back for those. They certainly do not seem to be stocking up ahead for these deals 🙁

Out of stock at both Targets in my area.
I called my local Target and the manager said no stores in the area have the doll because they have not received any yet. He took my name and number and said he will hold one for me it comes in and give me the 50% off price.
My store showed it was in stock before I left my house but there were none on the shelf. So then I stopped at another store that said ‘limited quantity available’ and there weren’t any there either. Oh well, didn’t really need it but thought it would be nice for a gift.
I’m so irritated! Stores have them in stock but they allow customers to place all of them on hold! What a waste of my time and gas! When I asked my local store if they can place items on hold they said not on cartwheel deals, so obviously all targets are different. I’m emailing corporate. I think it should be first come first serve.

If anyone lives in the Champaign, IL area. I went at 9:30am and they had several on the shelf. There wasn’t a sale tag it just read $19.99 but I scanned it and it came up $17.99. looked like no one had done the deal yet because the store was empty and the self was full (6 or 8).
I am really irritated…all 3 stores in my area were out of stock and the ones that they did have were placed on hold. This was at 9am-10am this morning. They should order some extras to have on the shelves and available so people can use the deal! And also shouldnt be allowed to put them on hold! We should all write target!
