I have two similar ones. If you have high speed internet and you do not own something similar, chances are you are renting it from your cable provider for about $8-$12 per month, so really this product pays for itself in about 6 months and the rest of the time you would be saving that amount. This is something that the cable providers do not really disclose, so most consumers are unaware. You also do not have to use their DVR or any other equipment they have sent to your house. I hope this helps 🙂
Thanks for the tip I checked our cable bill this morning and we have been paying $8.00 per month to rent a modem from Comcast for years. I ordered this today and I am looking forward to returning their rental unit and no longer paying.
Wow I was just looking for one of these modems last night comparing for hrs. This is the one I wanted! So glad I waited to make the purchase!
Great! Just got one. Thanks! I was planning to switch from DSL to cable. Just wanting to buy one modem so no need to pay expensive monthly rental fee and whatever extra fees and taxes they charge on top of rental fee.
Sold out. 🙁
