Thanks! Since their last promotion that you posted, I have ordered twice. Great prices and their customer service is also good. Haven’t paid a dime out of pocket either, since I have received and used my referral bonuses 😉

    What are these used for?

    • Beth Grunke

I use them for making soap. Farmgurlsoapery.com

  5. Morna

I got a larger size of the eucalyptus oil but it was still a great deal, thanks Collin!

  6. E

How do these compare to the Young Living and Doterra? I’ve never used oils before. Thanks!

    • Amber

I had a friend do a comparison of NOW and YL. She said that the YL is definitely better. I am not sure but was told that the NOW oils are not safe for human consumption (lemon, lavender etc) for oils that I would expect to be able to consume. I also did a quick search on the internet and found the following on a site discussing these oils.

“There is one important point about NOW that you must know though. Not all its oils are made from 100% pure natural sources. There are certain specific oils where NOW is experimenting with synthetic additives to enhance the mild natural aroma to give you that additional impact. In such cases, NOW clearly mentions that the product contains synthetic additions.”

YL oils are the only essential that are certifiable 100% pure and FDA approved for human consumption. Other oils are only required to contain 5% oil and can claim they are 100% pure. That’s why they’re less expensive. Go to YoungLiving.com and learn about their Seed to Seal quality processing so that you get a superior product.

        • Lisa

Young Living oils are the best, but no essential oils have FDA approval. That’s why Young Living’s Seed to Seal promise is so important.

    • Misty Nicole Roberts

I have even seen signs in my family doctors office discouraging pregnant and TTC women to not ingest lemon, grapefruit, lavender, and ceder oils for the same reasons. Its also worth noting that the FDA does not regulate the essential oils industry, and that companies, such as Young Living, using a certified grading system that is only overseen by their own industry, and not by the FDA, and so your would have to take any guarantee with a grain of salt. I was also told by my PCP, that peppermint oil in some cases can aid in digestion, but that many peoples medications, especially diabetics, can have their prescriptions negatively altered by essential oils, and to only take them medicinally when okay-ed by your PCP. So for me, regardless of a companies seal of approval, I believe the FDA trumps this one.

      • Beth Grunke

Essential oils aren’t MEANT to be ingested, anyway! The fact that you’re suggesting that they are shows how uninformed you are, and to take the side of the FDA at a time in history where your health is one of the least of their concerns also proves that.

Things that need more regulating aren’t regulated properly, and things that need to be left alone are hyper-regulated, and people like you do not help with your myopic sense of “information”.

TINCTURES are a substance that can be homemade with certain ingredients, and are meant to be ingested in most cases. But even that depends on what they’re made of.

YES people have to be careful, and know the risks. But, I’ve never seen an essential oil bottle that doesn’t carry a disclaimer and warnings against their use by people with specific health factors. The information is available to anyone who can read and comprehend. Please do some further research!

Anyone have a suggestion or recommendation for a good diffuser? I’ve been wanting to buy one, but the good ones are kind of pricey (which I don’t mind if they work well)

    • Kimberly

We have an Aroma Lite Diffuser (doTERRA) and I like it a lot.

    • Becky

I’ve tried a few different diffusers and ended up going back to the young living ones-better quality, use less oil and have lasted longer. They are a bit more expensive but worth it if you use it a lot.

    • Megan

I also have a Young Living diffuser and love it! Their oils are great too. If you are interested in getting one let me know. 🙂

    • Lori

I bought a Smiley Daisy diffuser on amazon and LOVE it! I also have a Young Living Bamboo diffuser, and actually prefer the Smiley Daisy one. It has more features an is only around $45.

    • Ang F

I bought a $30 Now diffuser on Amazon and it’s worked great.

    • Pat Singleton

You can get a great diffuser and 9 essential oils in the Young Living starter kit (a $250 value for $150. Contact me at patsingleton6207@aol.com to learn more and start your journey to wellness and well-being.

    • Charity

There is a great diffuser that i just bought at plantlife.net. I used the coupon code good4you and got 40 percent off. I love it!!!

  8. Chelsey

kinds stinks, everything I want is out of stock. 🙁 Bummer.

  9. K

My order from last time got cancelled so I still had a $10 credit I forgot about. Free essential oil! Woohoo!

  10. Tina

I bought some of these on amazon last year. I put a few drops in a cheap small crockpot with water and it made my house smell great!

    • Jessica

      Good idea!!

  11. Halle

Everything I want is out of stock ;(

  12. LL

    Are these organic?

  13. MiisNoel

On subject, but off topic … NOW sells B12 Instant Energy Packets that I HIGHLY recommend!!!!! They are amazing at helping boost energy (versus those “bad for you” sugary drinks/shots). My cousin’s oncologist office offers these to their cancer patients going through radiation/chemotherapy to help with fatigue.

    • MiisNoel

Oh! And it’s very easy on the stomach/digestion for those with nausea issues.

  14. Pharmchick

I wish I saw this post before everything went oos 🙁

  15. Lori

Please, please beware of oils that are not 100% pure. These oils contain synthetic additives (that’s they only way they can sell them at these crazy cheap prices!) The only true way to get real therapeutic benefits from oils is to use good quality ones. Synthetic additives can do more harm than good! DoTerra and Young Living are both reputable companies that sell only 100% pure unadulterated oils. I personally use Young Living and love their products!

  16. Jen

I agree with Lori 100%! Be careful with these. They contain synthetics.

  17. rockymtnhigh

Great deal, except EVERYTHING is out of stock!

  18. TechieTonya (@techietonya)

For those of you sharing your affiliate link, please reconsider. This is how Colin makes money to maintain this site.

    • Bri

Too bad Pure Formulas didn’t give anyone their referral bonuses from last month 🙁

    • ThatWordChick

Amen, Tonya. She’s very tolerant to allow the cascade of affiliate links that inevitably happen in the comments appear uncensored, but I wish folks would stop for a second a realize how much work goes into this blog.

    • maflies1

Tonya and Chick, I so agree with you. Was just thinking the same thing and was going to ask Collin to post *her* referral link so that I could use that to sign up. Have actually been trying to remember the name of this company as I need to order probiotics (name brand) that I need to use daily to try to keep fungal infections at bay.
So Collin, may I please have your referral link so that I can place my order? Thank you so much for all the time that you spend so that we can get the very best deals and coupons by merely reading and clicking. You are such a gem, and we appreciate you so much.

  19. ThatWordChick

I would highly recommend Aura Cacia stuff on the site – it smells divine and they have plenty of lovely oils. Granted, they’re not bargain-basement cheap like the NOWs, but there’s still some in the $5 range and the 15% code works on them.

Collin, I really appreciate the heads up here. Been busting my butt working lately and *really* needed a little ‘me’ gift – was pleasantly surprised to log into PureFormulas to discover the $10 credit I’d gotten from a post of yours a few weeks back. Aura Cacia massage oil, cedar essential oil and yummy rosemary bath salts are all on the way to me with only .72 cents out of pocket. I honestly don’t know how I shopped before I found Hip2Save!! <3

I ended up buying toothpaste mouthwash, Arnica tablets and a few other things at a great deal with the 15% off plus the $10 off over $50 order for using a referral link Saved almost $20! Please use my link so I can save $10 and you can save $10! https://www.pureformulas.com/rewards-intro?refCode=RCJNPJ

  21. Chelsey

There is a new Essential Oil company that I love! It is called Ameo. Check it out.
    3006587.myameo.com

  22. Robyn

How pure can these oils possible be at this price? Did you know that companies that sell essential oils really only have to have 10% of “pure” essential oils and the rest (90%) synthetic fillers to be considered pure. This is why the price is so low. I would not be using this product on my body. Look for a company with 100% pure THERAPEUTIC oils … these have no fillers, and really CAN be used on your skin. After all did you know that anything put on your skin is absorbed into your blood stream within 20 seconds? So anything that says EXTERNAL use only … would still end up in your blood stream. how safe is that? think about it.

  23. amelia

I use native american nutritionals oils. They are very high quality without the price and hassle of MLM ordering. I have also used YL’s ocotea for diabetes. It worked phenomenally for healing pain after I ate. I rarely need it anymore to keep blood sugar levels down.

    • Emilie

I am also hesitant to support any MLM/pyramid scheme product.

My doula recommends mountain rose herbs a reputable website that sells pure oils and that does not make false claims.

    • mkw

I started with Young Living but now only use Native American Nutritionals. . . . Read a bit about the guy who runs Young Living and you may change your mind. Also I feel better about the content of the Native American oils. Truth be told. I do buy some cheap NOW lemon oils from Amazon to use just for cleaning and/or removing sticky labels. But. I would never put them on my skin or in my water. . .

  24. Levi Gray

A lot of them are out of stock now, just FYI.
