I see it for $289??? (IPad Mini 2 with retina). I want a 32 GB and Target has them on Thanksgiving with a $100 gift card. Hoping they have some online as I’m not interested in fighting the mob.
Hold out of Target or Walmart on Black Frday and get it for about $160, after gift card.
I thought Target was doing it for $299 with $100 gift card. I can’t see getting the Ipad mini 2 for $160 at this point.
Yeah, but there is just not enough difference between the 2 and 1 for me to care or justify spending the money. Just thought I would be nice a spread the word. I personally don’t see the point for retina display on a mini, but anyway-also, the one listed above says nothing about being a mini 2; just that it has retina display.😃

Ok-I see. The retina display is a “2”. My bad! A difference still doesn’t matter to me; for everyone who does not care about retina display, hold out until Black Friday and try Target or Walmart! Lol!😳😄

Remember that this is an iPad mini 2 not the iPad mini. The deals on Black Friday are for the iPad mini. This one has upgraded features.

Which ends up being the same price as this Staples deal, without having to deal with a gift card and being out on Thanksgiving or BF, right?
My store refused to sell it and said that they were instructed by Apple not to honor the “online price”. I argued that this was not the case because I had heard of SEVERAL people getting the online price matched in store and since this was not a daily deal, there should be no issue honoring the price. I was told no. I left. No worries..they will never ever get my business again. I will pay full price elsewhere.
Best Buy has terrible customer service. I refuse to shop there because of my past experiences.

If you ordered online for store pick up, has anyone gotten their pick up notice yet? I called my mom this morning because I knew this was a deal that she wanted to try to get on Black Friday. I ordered it for her and it’s been almost 2 hours but it still says processing. It’s possible that she used the wrong billing address-she wasn’t sure if it was her street or PO Box. My store had 2 in stock and now it says 1. I’m just worried that, if their is an issue with her order, that it will sell out before I’m able to fix the issue for her.
I have not gotten confirmation email either. Got it this morning for store pick-up. When I chatted with customer service online they said my order is being processed. Hope to get it
The local Staples is not supposed to honor the online price because the model numbers are different between the ones that are online for that price, and the ones in the store.
Maybe that’s where the confusion comes in…several people are getting them and others are not.
That’s interesting…do you happen to know how they differentiate between the items when people buy online and do in-store pickup? There was the option to pick up in store if you bought online..however, they have no iPads in store priced for $199.99. Are the ones with different product numbers set aside for the people who purchased online? Or do they just pull from the same inventory? If so, doesn’t make sense as to why they aren’t able to price match.
I called this morning and my Staples said they could price match it and they would hold it for me for pick up tonight. Hopefully that is actually true…I’m nervous after reading the comments above 🙁 Otherwise, Target is offering the same deal ($299 with a $100 gift card) for Black Friday but then you have to go fight the masses.

My Staples wouldn’t honor the online price for the retina display, but sold me the regular 16GB wifi mini for $199. in store.
ipad mini 1 or 2 does not have much difference in my opinion. I have a 16 GB for my children and it is just not enough. We only download apps for games and books. No movies etc. Think twice before you buy 16 GB. I would buy 32 GB if I see a good deal.
I bought one this morning, talked to one of the workers and was lucky to get the last one in stock on hold. Got there and the manger rang up original price and I showed him my phone and he ran back to check something and gave me it for $199.99 which Shouldve been $199.00 oh wells one dollar can be donated for his time helping me out and honoring the price 🙂

I did the same. Saw it was out of stock online and my local store matched the $199 price for the last one they had. Definitely a deal and didnt have to deal with the line on Black Friday.
