Target: Highly Rated Samsung 32″ LED HDTV As Low As $150.47 – Regularly $249.99

Note from Collin: Sorry for the confusion. When I received this reader email, I assumed that the reader found this TV marked down at her local store and was then able to apply the Cartwheel offer to get the additional discount. After reading the comments, it sounds like this TV is NOT on sale in the stores so you will not be able to use the Cartwheel offer if you attempt to price match the online price in the store.

Target shoppers! Check out this email from Hip2Save reader, Michele…

The Samsung 32″ Class 720p 60Hz LED HDTV is on sale from $249.99 to $197.99. Then there is a 20% off this specific TV Cartwheel offer (good only through tomorrow, 11/22) and then you can receive another 5% off for using your Target REDcard. Final cost as low as $150.47!

Can you use cartwheel on shipped items?

    • Michelle

No! I tried. πŸ™ It says at the bottom- Offer valid in store only.

  2. Gina

Sold out at my target πŸ™

  3. Michele G.

No, you will have to pick it up in store in order to use the cartwheel app. Also you will have to price match it at customer service, as the store (at least my Target) has it at a list price of $249.99. The Target representative in customer service stated that as long as a product is in stock online they can price match it in the store.

    • Guest

Their policy it not to price match and then use cartwheel on top of that. You get the lower of the price match or Target’s store price minus the cartwheel.

      • Lydia

I just did this deal earlier today… They pricematched it in store for me and then used the cartwheel coupon on top of it

        • Nichole

Lucky you! I had a cashier who’s been with Target for awhile and had read up on the price matching policy.

          • Texas Lady

I was able to buy 6 of these at my store each came out to $166.40

            • Guest

Just because you did it, doesn’t mean it’s Target’s policy.

  4. kristin

So how do I order online with the cartwheel I’m confused

  5. shannon

Like Michelle said you will have to use your cartwheel when you pick it up at the store if it is stock.

  6. Lilia

It saids in stock at my store but not eligible for pick up and it was 249 original price not 319

  7. Amanda

We are trying to find out the same thing, can cartwheel be used online? We have never used cartwheel before. And the TV isn’t available in any area near us, shipped only.

    • Guest

No, not this cartwheel. They will say if they can be used online.

  8. Lilia

    Product not available .

  9. Jenna

Thanks for posting! We were at target looking at TVs and I saw this deal. Worked perfectly!

  10. zelal

walmart and amazon has the same online price.

  11. Judy Trac

I’m not seeing that price for my store

  12. Kelly

Worked for me! Thanks! Brought it to customer service for price match and then used cartwheel.

  13. Teresa

this is not a $319 tv as stated. it is a $197 tv and is sold at many places for that price

  14. Danielle

This is a black friday price on this tv. The store has the but not selling them. So inwent to customer service and they gave me the newer model and matched online price and cartwheel offer also.i paid 149.97! Awesome deal…

  15. Courtney

Thanks! Ran up to my Target and had the customer service clerk price match it to Target.com’s price of $197.99 (it rings up for $249 in the store) then used the 20% Cartwheel also still had a $10 off any $150 purchase from a Target Catalog. Plus my RedCard took off another $7 and change. All in all I paid $150 and change after all discounts and taxes.

*** Plus right now Walmart.com has a Full Motion Wall mount for TVs up to 42″ that comes with a 6′ HDMI cable for just $15.99!!! If I bought the mount and cable at Target I would have paid $60 for the mount and $18 for the HDMI cable. That’s a savings of $62.!!!***

  16. Correy

We just got it, but they wouldn’t let us use cartwheel, they said you can’t use it with online deals πŸ™

  17. Scott

Would not work for me. Customer service said they can’t price match and give Cartwheel discountπŸ˜ͺ

  18. Jenna

Thank you! Was able to get mine for $165 in Hawaii. That’s a great deal because everything is so expensive here! Customer service said I couldn’t use a coupon with the price match but some how scanned it and it went through! Thank you again!!!

  19. susan

Thank you! Went to the store – there were none on the shelf – asked if they had one in the back and they did. Went to the register – had to price match – employee did not know how – manager came over and price matched – was able to use cartwheel and red card. This was not a really smoooooooth transaction but well worth it for the price.

  20. Monique Holladay

Thanks so much! Worked like a charm. I price matched the online price & used the cart wheel and my red card! Very excited!

  21. Denise O

I tried but my customer service would not match the online price. Bummer

  22. Monica

Yay!!!! This worked for me! FYI you can do a price match on the HDMI cable as well, $14 in store, $10 online.

Called target and the man from electronics told me to come in the store to customer service and they would help me go online to order this tv for the special price. Customer service did not know anything about it. When I called he told me they were sold out. I asked if I can order online then he told me about coming in the store. I wasted my time . Target will not get my business. No one new what they were doing in this store.

  24. Nichole

This should not work, if you honestly want to purchase this TV for the $150 price. I spent almost an hour with customer service reading the fine print.

1 – You cannot use this cartwheel coupon online. Only select coupons are being allowed online in a trial phase, and it states on this cartwheel coupon that it is in store only. When you purchase the item online, there are no options to enter the cartwheel savings.

2 – If you order the item online, and have it shipped to the store, the store essentially cancels your online order and creates a new transaction. Target and Target.com are considered two different stores. Then, they will apply your cartwheel before price matching.

3 – If you purchase the item in store, they will price match it to another price AFTER your cartwheel coupon is applied.

I purchased the item in the store at $249.00. It is not on sale at the store.
Cartwheel was applied and total adjusted to $199.
The red card discount was applied to the $199.
At this point they could price match to Target.com, and adjust the price to $197.
In the end, I paid $203.
It’s sitting in my trunk to be returned.

I know as the consumer, it is my responsibility to read all the fine print and details surrounding a ‘deal.’ I don’t typically purchase more than the bare minimum due to our income, so most of these bigger deals aren’t on my radar. In my experience with coupon blogs, Hip2Save is almost always spot on and honest with prices and deals – some other blogs are more about the ‘big score’ than honesty. As a result, I trust the deals posted here. I felt really disappointed standing at customer service politely arguing my point, to discover fine print stating very clearly the price matching policy and use of cartwheel savings. Again, I know that ultimately it’s my responsibility to read the details… We missed the Walmart TV deal (only 2 at our store – what’s the point then Walmart?) so I jumped on this one too quickly. πŸ™

      Hi Nichole!

I am so sorry that you had such a bad experience with this deal. When I received this reader email, I assumed that the reader found this TV marked down at her local store (not via price matching) and was then able to apply the Cartwheel offer to get the additional discount. After reading your comments (and those from others), it sounds like this TV is NOT on sale in the stores so you will not be able to use the Cartwheel offer if you attempt to price match the online price in the store.

My intention is always to post the most accurate deals and to follow the store’s policies, so again I apologize for the confusion surrounding this particular deal.

      • Nichole

Thank you… I have to say that of the different blogs I follow, I find yours to be the most accurate and straight forward when it comes to deals and coupons. That’s why I follow yours and recommend it to any new couponers who want to know where to get started!

Hi, Nichole. I do know that a lot of people get away with these deals because of uninformed Target employees or managers who don’t follow Target’s rules. I read their comments all the time. I, myself, never participate in these deals because I know Target’s price matching policy is not that of price matching and then using the cartwheel on top. Even though I might be able to get away with it, I don’t. I know that Collin always replies with Target’s price match policy when people ask her if they can use cartwheel on top of price match. It doesn’t ever stop them from trying or doing it. There are always going to be people who don’t go by the rules. Collin never promotes shady dealings or breaking store’s rules. I’m sorry you had to go through what you did.

    • Monica

I think it really has to do with which store you go to, as mine did honor the price match and Cartwheel. In fact is was the Target clerk who took it upon himself to check the online price for the HDMI cable. My store happens to be very new, open for only about 6 months, and I have found that they are very accommodating whenever there is coupon issue, whereas other stores have not. Sorry about your experience. Collin is always very good about indicating when a deal seems to be dependent on store discretion. Thanks again Collin!

Thanks so much! I love your site and get so many good deals here. I went to my target store and did the price match and they let me do the cartwheel on top of that before I read here you are not supposed to do that in your update. Anyway, they let me. This was the best deal ever! Thanks so much! I made a relative with financial difficulties very happy with this tv!

  26. Lindsay

I just got this tv with all the discounts and they price matched the online price in store. Along with a $10 coupon and 20% cartwheels and 5% red card. Thanks Collin πŸ‘

  27. LVG

I just purchased this TV at the Target in Port St Lucie Fl – the customer service person price matched it for me to the sale price of $197 then she gave me the 20% cartwheel discount . She said that since it was a price match to Target.com she could use the cartwheel. If it had been a price match to another store the cartwheel could not be used. So I got the TV for $ 158 plus tax
