YMMV. Mine will not pricematch if CW brings the price less than the PM offer. Like if something is $9.99 at another store, but Target has $11.99 and 30% CW offer, that brings it to $8.39, that is now less than the PM, so a PM is no-go.
That’s Target’s policy. It would be nice if all employees were aware of it, so prices were the same for everyone. I read about so many people here that know their policy, but get away with it because the employees are clueless.

Not that I know of. Its totally turning me off to Target and I am a long time shopper.
It depends on the Cartwheel. Most of them are in-store only, but some of them work online. Each offer tells how you can use it.

Hey this was 34.99 at the Magnolia, TX Target but customer service had no trouble at all price matching their 20.99 online price and allowing me to use the Cartwheel! Hope it works for you guys too!
That’s not Target’s price match policy, so it won’t work for everyone. Lots of employees have no idea about Target’s rules.

The doll set was $34. 99 at my store also. I went in at 9 a.m. to look for the Fast and Furious DVD set, but it was already sold out. Great deal for $10.xx!!
Amazon has some pretty comparable pricing on the DVD’s. I can’t get to a Target today or tomorrow to use some of those great coupons, but I think I’ll order them from Amazon instead
So proud of my DH! He went and hunted this down, and after a little persuasion convinced the customer service lady to match the online price then take the cartwheel offer off. He called me to tell me and was as giddy as a schoolgirl!! Collin, I cannot thank you enough for all these great deals!!

Not to sound rude but some targets do this for good customer service. Some managers see it as keeping a customer happy will keep them coming back, especially if it’s just a few bucks.
I should clarify for those people that think that he was trying to get away with something that he did not have to persuade her to PM the online price, she said she was happy to do that. The confusion was in whether or not the online price was $20.99 after the cartwheel offer was applied, not before. He had to show her that the cartwheel was in store only so it couldn’t have been the after CW price online.
I snagged the Despicable Me DVD, plus loads of c9 pants and jacket which are 40% for my son. He’ll be so thrilled!!
I got the Fast set at Target for 6.76 I priced matched with amazon they have it for 28.99 awesome deal 🙂
o I jSust have to vent for a second. It’s so annoying when you go to target to do this one day and it works no problem. The customer service Rep actually was impressed I was able to save so much. Then I try it with this ever after set at the very same target & a different employee acts like I’m trying to basically steal from the store. She still did it but gave me the 3rd degree along with a lecture that it wouldn’t happen again. It just bugs me that 2 different employees from the same store act so differently about price matching & using cw. Target needs to get it together and train their employees so they know what’s going on. Drives me crazy how you never know what your going to get. Vent ended…. Ha ha I feel better now 🙂
It’s their policy. You are just getting lucky when you get away with it. Read Target’s price matching rules.
I don’t care if it’s there policy or not. I’m not trying to get away with anything. The thing that bothers me is the fact that the customer service representative don’t know what’s going on. I’m fine not getting the deal if it’s not supposed to be that way. I just want some consistency that’s all. I’m just saying there people all need the same training so they all do the same thing so it’s not so confusing to everyone.
Monique Holladay, I completely agree! I find the most frustrating thing is inconsistency!!! And when it occurs at the very same store, it’s absurd! Not to mention frustrating!!! I LOVE Target, but I seriously DREAD going there, as I never know what I’m going to encounter. One trip everything’s perfect … The next I get the “coupon gestapo” who painstakingly analyzes each one. Ugh!
I can only recommend completing the “guest survey” that’s typically printed on your receipt. The ratings/comments you make REALLY DO make it back to the store!!!!! (Just remember not all feedback should be negative, so when you have a great experience also remember to let them know too.;)

Despicable Me was 14.99 at my store so only 5.99 after cartwheel. Couldn’t find it in the regular movie section, but it was towards the front of the store in the cardboard movie displays they added for the holiday weekend.
I’m just saying, it gets on my nerves when one person sits and comments on a bunch of peoples comments going “Thats not their policy.” “You’re lucky you got away with it.” There’s no need. Either you can enjoy that someone else got a good deal, or just ignore it and close out of this page. Not trying to be mean, just stating.

@Anon, it sounds as if Guest is a little bitter. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen on here that some things work out for some that doesn’t for others. Heck even stores in my town have allowed some to get things a certain way and then when others try they are told no. We all have the same agenda and that is to save as much money as possible. I for one am happy when I read that someone has gotten a good deal. It’s not as if anyone is deliberately misusing Target’s policy. If it’s a problem or becomes a problem with different stores allowing PM and cartwheel you can rest assure @ Guest that Corporate will put a stop to it. IMHO, Target is still trying to make up for the issues and inconvenience of having their customers affected by the whole hacking thing last year. I’m sure that they are happy that customers are shopping at there stores after all that. Happy Thanksgiving to all, and be safe and save tons!!!!!

I was able to grab the Bridesmaids BluRay/DVD for $6.90 last night! I just LOVE this movie. It was originally $22.98, down to $15.00, and then 54% Off with Cartwheel. I’m happy!!!
Also, as someone else mentioned I noticed a huge cardboard set-up/display towards the front of my store nestled inbetween the kid’s clothing, off a main aisle with a lot of these movies! I noticed Despicable Me 2 for $13 … With the Cartwheel it would’ve made a GREAT deal, but I already own it.
