I noticed that my son uses all his characters with all the games he has…so, I guess, even though they are Giants they can b e used with Swap Force or Trap Team…
All the previous characters work with all the new games. My son has Trap Team (The newest) and all the characters work with it. But if he puts in the GIANTS game, he can’t use the newest characters that came out with trap team. We have skylanders everywhere!
Thanks Collin! My son just for trap team for Christmas and had a friend over who brought all of his. He loves Eye Brawl, this was a great way to beef up his collection. I got the 6 set cause it had him in it.
From what I learned you can use old figures for the new portals , but not vice versa. You can use the old figures but you can not play them in story mode, to do that you also need that particular game. (Swap force figures can’t play in story mode in trap team) but it will recognize the characters on the portal pad. If that helps anyone
I think the 6 pack is the best value as it contains all the larger characters. In the past I’ve been able to get the smaller characters on sale for 3.75-4.25 but the larger characters were a good deal at $12.00. Of course all that may change now that trap team is out. Although you can use all old characters in trap team, my son informs me we must purchase a “trap master from each element” to win the new game. The old ones can play, but you need the new ones to win. Oh skylanders, you have found a way into my wallet yet again. Someone in their marketing department earned himself another raise😁
