Target: More 90% Off “Hidden” Clearance Finds (+ Reader Deals on Toys, Coffee, Olive Oil, & More)

If you’re headed to Target to check out the 90% off Christmas deals I posted about here and here, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for “hidden” 90% off clearance items throughout the store! You may find luggage tags in the luggage/travel section and little coin purses found with wallets/purses for only $0.49-$0.50 each (the only coin purses that scanned at 90% were regularly $5 and had a Limited Edition tag). Awesome!

[h2s_box]Also, check out a few Target Clearance emails I’ve received from a few readers –

The Bartenura Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500 ml) is ringing up 70% off. It’s located in the kosher food section. In my store (Grafton, WI) it’s regularly $4.89, so now down to $1.46. You can check inventory at https://brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker and the DCPI is 212-28-1147.

Crazy good deal on Archer Farms Christmas Blend coffee at Target. It’s on clearance for 70% off.  The store I visited last night hadn’t actually moved the Christmas coffee to the clearance aisle and it was mis-marked on the shelf as being on sale for $9.99. However, when I scanned it it was coming up with the Christmas clearance price of 70% off the original price of $10.99 ($3.29). AND – I also scanned the bar code on Cartwheel and got an additional 5% off on the Archer Farms K-Cup deal (drops it to $3.13 – or, just 17 cents per cup!). At that price I don’t care if I’m drinking Christmas Blend on St. Patrick’s Day!

We were just at Target and they had a whole row of toy clearance and the aisle wasn’t even marked (yet?)! They had My Little Pony, Hello Kitty, Hot Wheels, Barbie, ride on toys and so much more for 50% off! They also had a lot of Christmas stuff marked to 90% off.

Just stumbled upon an aisle at Target this morning (Tuesday 1/6/15) with AMAZING markdowns on Lego Friends Sets and Lego Disney Sets! Lego Friends Stephanie’s Beach House normally $39.99 bought for $10.49, Lego Friends Heart Lake Shopping Mall normally $104.99 on clearance for $70.49, Lego Friends Jungle Bridge normally $29.99 bought for $7.49, Lego Friends Sunshine Ranch normally $63.99 bought for $35.49, and more. AMAZING PRICES!! These will not last. My store that I found these prices is in Coral Springs, Florida. [/h2s_box]

What clearance deals have you found at Target lately?

(Thanks, Sophie, Marilyn, Jessica, & Amy!)

I love finding kids luggage tags on sale! I have our children write a note, insert it into the tag’s window and add them to gift bags/wrapped gifts to take to their friend’s birthday parties. The children always get so excited about them and they are handy for parents to put on backpacks, diaper bags, etc (with our birthday message removed, of course).

    • Cat

Great idea! To me it’s better than a $1 store card 🙂

    • Carrie

Where were the luggage tags located in the store?

      • Tarheel

I found them in the luggage section at 2 stores. Hello Kitty & Monster High were not ringing up 90% off.

    • MiisNoel

This is such a great idea Kate. I love, love wrapping gifts and always try to add a little “something” on the outside, like a bonus, and this is SO cute!

    • Kate

Yay! So glad I thought to share how we use them when I saw this earlier. I see them pretty often on sale (not always THIS cheap) and they are so cute…I felt like there had to be a better use for them than just luggage!

    • Mary

I was pretty frustrated today at my Target. I found some of the posted “hidden deals”, the purple scotch wrapping paper and the metallic sharpies among others. They all rang regular price 🙁

      • Susan

Same at my target charlotte / NC

        • AB

Yeah, was in Monroe last night and although some deals were good, nothing like what others are posting. I was happy to get brownstone chocolate covered strawberries and to go berries for 1.09.

  2. Barb J

I went today. All of the 90% clearance section was gone but I was able to find a few things on the regular aisles that were not showing marked down prices. I was able to pick up 4 packages of the 3-pack Ziploc limited edition large containers for .29 each regularly 2.99. I also got a 12 count of cupcakes for .89. Most of their cookie trays were also marked down 50 to 70% off.

  3. Grateful mama

Scored fantastic deals on nice white and silver plastic plates. They were in the party decor aisle and rang up at 49 cents from 4.99! Sturdy and non- Christmas item at Christmas clearance prices!! Happy hunting.

    • Shirley

Thanks Grateful Mama! Any chance you would have the DPCI Code? It’s a 9 digit code that reads like a SSN. 🙂

  4. MiisNoel

What an AMAZING deal on the Friends Lego Sets! WOW!!! Part of me wants to run to my closest Targets (three within an 8 Mile radius), but living in So.Cal. I just can’t imagine I would score.

    • Maile

I live in socal too! What city are you in? 🙂

      • Juliana

        me too! west hills

        • Dam Liz

          I am west hills too

      • MiisNoel

I’m in Simi Valley. As we’d say we’re just “over the hill” from West Hills. ;]

        • suzy

wow! small world!! i’m in simi too :))

    • Erin

I was excited for a minute, too, but I just realized the Lego Friends beach house has an “as is” sticker rather than a typical clearance sticker on it. It is an online only item returned in the store, so it’s doubtful that you’ll be able to find it at your store. Sorry 🙁

      • amy

I was the one that found several of the sets on clearance for the Legos Friends. While the “AS IS” Sticker may indicate that it was an online purchased yet returned item. I can say that we had an entire shelf. I bought 7 different sets. Many of which I know for a fact are sold in store as well – rapunzel’s tower, cinderella’s castle, Jungle rescue, jungle bridge and the heartlake shopping mall. So while these may have been a random find in the store i was in it doesn’t mean they are not happening elsewhere for the same reasons. Was still a great deal to share.

A second store i stopped by had other lego sets on clearance but not as severly marked down.

        • Jackie

Thanks for posting this deal. I was able to pick up five sets today. All with the “As Is” sticker. These were not online returns.

    • Christy

I live in SoCal too! San Diego. 🙂

      • ashley

I was at Target this morning and also found the Lego friends on clearance!!! Score, git 4 sets for $35 reg $140 🙂

  5. Ray

I found the luggage tags with the Christmas clearance. All they had was TMNT and Spiderman.

  6. sk

Can you share the DCPI for the legos? Can check if they have any in my store, better option than running to the store (which I am so tempted to right now ;-))
    thanks in advance.

    • Jamie

All you need to do is go to Target.com and Search the name of this Lego set and then it gives you the info so its DPCI # is: 086-02-2661 . But online it says this LEGO® Friends Stephanie’s Beach House 41037 is NOT sold in any stores, it is ONLY Sold ONLINE!
So these posts are misleading as it is usually only in a store if someone bought online and returned in store or the store was sent this item by accident so they have to make them down to sell since they don’t have this item in their planogram so no shelf spot to stock it.

      • sk

Thanks for your reply. Saved me a trip to Target.

  7. sonia

    What about in nyc?

  8. lancy

cant find any good deals at my target in WPB, Fl. 😔

  9. Brittany

My target had select men’s boxers (both mossimo and merona brand) for 90% off, so between $0.49 and $0.59 each. Be sure to scan them as at my store they weren’t marked. Not all of the Holliday themed ones were on sale though.

  10. Melanie

Looks like the clearance tag on the Legos says “as is” – it may be an online return that got marked down at that store only. Anyone know if the Christmas food goes 90% off? It went to 70% off on Sunday and there is still lots left at my local store. Wasn’t sure if it goes lower or gets donated.

    • Jo

any time i have seen those as is tags its been an online product that got returned to the store…i bought an exersaucer for ten bucks that was in that situation and they told me anything sold online only they don’t bother shipping back … they mark it way down just to get it out of the store.

      • Lynn l

I agree with Jo, anytime there’s an “as is” tag its being seriously reduced to move it out of the store due to an online item ordered and returned, etc. Good luck finding Christmas goodies everyone!

        • Jen

I agree also. There were NO legos marked down at my store this week. I even price checked a few hoping a least the little stocking size ones would be marked down. I did find the winter and holiday nestle chocolate chips in normal aisle marked down to .80 and some lego star war underwear in clearance that was marked 6.98 but rang up 2.98, Hello kitty socks .50, frozen Christmas shirts 1.50. Post your good toy deals…I couldn’t find much of anything!

    • Keosha

Melanie all holiday food are only marked down to 70%.

  11. Leslie Ramey

Most the Christmas stuff is gone at my local stores in West Melbourne and Palm Bay, Fl. I went today and they were putting all the clearance toys on one isle for 50% off. Some really good deals.

  12. annie

Minneapolis & suburbs are pretty much cleaned out…no great deals here. In fact yesterday i asked about the holiday return items i saw behind customer service and she told me they were “salvaging” it. The only items in excess were peppermint m&m’s.

  13. Jenny

The food and candy are still at 70% here. There wasn’t much left in the 90% area. I did get some peppermint m and m’s for 70% off (.95), but the cartwheel didn’t work on them.

  14. Kayla

I was able to do the Christmas scented Glade deal today and bought: 1 candle at $1.48 (cream pudding I think), 1 candle (merry mistletoe) at $2.08, and a scent warmer starter kit (a citrus flavor in Orange packaging) for $1.48. I used two $1 off any Glade product coupons and one $1.50 off any Glade warmers coupon. After the cartwheel (10%) and $2 off any 3 Glade offer from Checkout 51 it was a small moneymaker! I also got some of the Hillshire cheddar cheese for less than $2 and the gold metallic Sharpie 2 pack for $0.29. Pretty nice way to end the holiday clearance season!

Still waiting for those gift sets to go on sale though!

    • Erin

The Target Glade coupon is for 4 oz candles; the clearance candles are 3.8 oz. How did you get the Target coupon to work?

      • Juliana

i used the coupon and it went through when the cashier scanned it. worth to try 🙂

        • vanessa

Even tho it may go through that is coupon fraud and a reason for the manufacture coupons to be lowered in value in the future.

          • tia

Did the deal as well the way it was posted yesterday. I didnt look at ounces for a candle. The coupon should have beeped if it wasn’t a match.

            • Juliana

thanks tia – i agree 🙂 worth a shot to save some $$. if it went through, it went through!

          • Jenn

How is it fraud if it scanned? It’s not like she swapped barcodes. If it worked, it worked.

          • shimmeri

Just to let you know they dont track each coupon to the item sold. .they throw them in a bag and and ship to the manufacturer and than they reimburse for all the total amounts

      • Kayla

All I used were Manufacturer’s coupons. I didn’t even know there was any Target coupons available. Admittedly I didn’t look at the size of anything…I was too excited about the deal!

    • Debby

Walmart had the Glade Christmas gift sets (2 pine scented candles + 1 twin oils (2) + an additional packaged 1 oil and warmer) for $4.99… I used the $2.00 off 3 and $1.25 off any one…and paid $1.74. The cashier scanned all coupons and since they scanned and accepted them… I walked off with a stock to replenish my “collectors aka: hoarders ” stock of glade… Lots of times the cashiers don’t say anything when using them. If they don’t work… No big deal…but it’s always worth trying!

  15. AnnaD

I found 5 packs of crayola paint in the regular crayola aisle that had red bows on the box. Those were all from the holiday too

  16. Laura Herrera

If anyone has scored any deals near Los Angeles please post:)

  17. Erin

I actually found an Elf on the Shelf and a bunch of Elf reindeer. I almost passed out! I hadn’t seen any since before Christmas. A woman had one at Hallmark and was unsure about whether she should buy one at half price. I got tired of waiting for her to decide and wasn’t sure I wanted to spend $15 on a potential dust collector, so I passed. Goes to show that when you miss a deal, a better one tends to come around. . . . I only hope that will be the case with the toys. Legos are still 15 percent off in Va. I saw a Lego advent calendar that was still $26! Anyone happen to have a DCPI on Elf sweaters?

    • Usmcwife

I’ve been dying for the elf reindeer!!! Totally jealous lol. Great find.

      • Erin

First time I’ver ever seen them!

      • Tomoko

I’m jealous too!!! I went to look for the reindeer as soon as Christmas clearance went 50% off. I saw a bunch of them at 30% off the day before 50% off sale. Sadly they were all gone when I got there 🙁 Yay for you! 🙂

        • Erin

Honestly, I think that Target was restocking the Xmas stuff! I was there when it went 90 percent, and the Elf stuff was not there. At 70, they had a ton of plush Elves but no book sets or reindeer. Yesterday, everything was pretty much broken and in tatters but the Elf stuff was pristine. . . . IDK. Good luck! Hope you find one.

    • shimmeri

I got the Blu Ray for only 1.49

  18. Jennifer B

I found kids Christmas pajamas in with the rest in the baby area! I paid $1.59 for sets of two!!

    • Lauren

I grabbed a pair of those too!! I also found some baby pajamas with a reindeer on them for $0.59!!

  19. Toby

I was able to get the Bartenura Olive Oil, what a fab deal and found a Holiday blend Starbucks! Thanks Colin.

  20. Erin

Remember to wait out toy clearance. It goes as low as 70 percent off.

  21. Deb

I just got a Vicks dehumidifier for 50% off… No other good finds… Needed one anyway so I can’t complain…

    • Emily

Do you have DCPI no. So i can check if its available at my store? Thanks

  22. Ginny

I got a 10 1/2 foot pre lit Christmas tree originally $538.00 for only $55.00 including tax.

    • tilla ham

i love that tree, it’s gorgeous. I only 7.5 foot ceilings:)

  23. Anu

Nothing Xmas left in Orlando FL.

    • Angela M.

Which location in Orlando or all?

      • Anu

        I’m in Eastwood Orlando area.

  24. Dara

I got a kidcraft espresso wooden toddler kitchen at 70% off for $26.98!! I also found a lot of great toys at 50% off, including Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys (the workbench and the fix n fun garage), a Disney Cars race car set, fisher price tv radio, and an Oball favorites gift set.

  25. Laura

I went today found a few things the most exciting was a polar express gift set with the movie and book and bell I think … Originally 32.99 I paid 3.29 so I can’t complain

    • Shirley

Laura, Would you happen to have the DCPI for the Polar Express? Thanks! 🙂

  26. sherry

I’m in Southern California my Target is cleared out of Christmas goodies. The toys were 30-50% off but were random returned items. I was tempted to buy a Frozen scooter at 50% off but the box had been opened and the wheels look like they had been used outside already.

    • Juliana

what target do you shop at sherry? im in the san fran. valley

  27. Autumn

I found the My Little Pony Equestria Girls Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk Doll, 2-Pack on sale for $8.98 (originally $29.99) at my local Target store. The lowest price I have seen anywhere online is $14.98 on Amazon.com, but it sells out as soon as it comes back in stock for that price. So all things considered I think the Target price is a super good deal!

  28. Mil

Will everyone please write what state you are in where you did or didn’t find Target at 90% off? Thanks 🙂

  29. Sarah

I’m making a special trip tom just for the Lego Friends sets…wouldn’t make sense that ALL the ones the person listed were online returns…the mall is sold in store (I know bc I paid $104 for it)! It’s showing $104 online…worth a trip…

    • Erin

Don’t be disappointed if you can’t find it; it was an online item that was returned. 🙁

    • Jen

NONE of these sets were on clearance at my Targets in San Antonio, TX tonight.

    • Sarah

I just called the target closest to me and they said they were clearance their toys early this year. He said they had a ton if Lego friends they’ve clearanced out. I’ll post once I get back!

  30. Lauren

I found a Phillips LED Christmas tree that retailed for $514 and with 90% off and my red card wound up paying under $50:)

  31. Prachi

Sorry completely off topic – If anyone has a shutterfly photobook code they are not using, I would really appreciate it. I am trying to create a photobook for his 60th birthday. Please email me at prachi_jain_@hotmail.com

  32. Kelly Terrell Valentine

I found Starbucks Christmas Blend K-cups on clearance for $3.89 and had 4-$2.00 coupons. Also found Hickory Farms cheddar blocks and summer sausage for $1.79. Got 4 blocks of cheese, 2 summer sausage, 4 K-cups and one Starbucks Christmas Via ($3.88) for $21.07 and saved $79.78!

  33. Melissa

Sams Club had the Lego Friends Mall marked down to under $55.

  34. glo

I live in SC and 90% off stuff was slim pickings but I was able to get some socks for my son. I love Pumpkin Spice coffee and there were 7 bags sitting on the shelve and I grabbed 3 to price check them, to find out they rung up regular price. The employees were clearing off the shelves to make room for the next holiday. I asked why the coffee was ringing up full price. I was told that they shouldn’t be there. I told the employee that there was a bunch on the shelve. She said she would call up front and tell them to ring them up at 70% off and pull the rest of them. I went back and found a starbucks coffee as well. I continued to shop and thought why didn’t I grab more coffee. I went to the coffee aisle and there was two rows of the pumpkin spice. I grabbed two more bags. While checking out the cashier didn’t get the message so I told him and needless to say I paid less than $2.00 a bag for my coffee fix for the next couple of months

  35. Taylor

Does anyone know if/when cvs will go 90% off?

    • Kelli

i was told next week cvs goes 90%

    • familyhandshake

Our CVS in Provo, UT went on 90% today.

  36. Cass

Does anyone have the dcpi for elf on the shelf?

  37. Erin

The Legos are full price in my Target:(.

  38. Kristi

I just checked for Lego Friends and am not finding anything marked (ringing up) on clearance. Just FYI. 🙁

  39. Marissa

I got 10 bottles of the Olive Oil at $1.47 a bottle!

    • gia

Marisa, can u tell us what city and state your in and if there were any left? Thanks in advance!

      • Marissa

Yes, Oldsmar, FL there was probably 10 left! But Colin has a link to right under the Olive Oil to be able to see if your store has any. That’s how I knew my store had some!

  40. Michele

Legos were not marked down. The candles were all $2.08. Thanks though

  41. Angela

Went today and found boxed Christmas cards for .90 and 15′ outdoor extension cords for around .60 each 🙂

  42. Sarah

Legos were not marked down at my store.

  43. Monica

I was looking for the elf on a shelf on clearance but had no luck….so sad.

  44. Corey

At a few stores in St. Louis area I found the kosher apple sauce on holiday discount because it is associated with Chanukkah but are still in the food section. Same with the kosher tea biscuits and latke mix. They are all delicious and are great to donate too! Also, pacifiers with reindeer and snowflakes were on clearance with holiday stuff for 0.39. They were the MAM brand.

  45. dre

Went to 2 Targets today. The first one had nothing left and was already filled with Valentine stuff.. the 2nd had an itty bitty section where I got a few napkins. Hobby lobby was wiped clean too just a few ribbon and tags. Will be going to another target tomorrow to look for hidden gems! I live in AZ.

  46. Monika

The cashiers in my target sometimes correct the price that rings up to the price they see on the sticker. Is there something I could print to show them that they shouldn’t do that? Hunting for hidden clearances doesn’t have much appeal if they do that to me at the register :/

    • Taylor

Wow that’s crazy! My cashiers have only done that if the clearance price is lower than what rang up. I would just ask why they’re adjusting the price if it’s in the system lower and obviously for a reason

  47. A

I don’t know how you found this olive oil deal, but it’s awesome! Thanks for sharing. Glad I check this site frequently!

  48. Jenni

I found some Xmas gift bags white/red/green chevron $0.25 and white/red/green polka dot $0.12 in the Spritz aisle. I found metallic sharpies $0.29 on an end cap hanger around where the tape aisle was. Purple cross body metallic for $1.00 and lots of other little coin purses etc. that I passed on. Also Peppermint Bark and Snickerdoodle Chex Mix for $0.89 marked for $2.50. None of these were marked deals. Found in Altoona, IA.

    • Jenni

Lego Friends were not marked down 🙁

    • Karmyn

Was able to use the $.50/2 printable coupon on the Chex Mix Muddy Buddies. It scanned with no problem at the register making each bag around $0.64 ($1.28 for two) 🙂

      • Stefanie

Do you have the DCPI for the muddy buddies?

        • Karmyn

This is the DCPI for the Peppermint Bark Chex Mix Muddy Buddies: 071-95-0057

          • Stefanie

            Thanks!

  49. Lauren

Found elf on the shelf girl pajamas in the clearance rack with girls clothes. Lots of sizes small-large at Livonia MI Target. Rang up for 1.49 90% off.

  50. Connie
