I bought this printer. . When it prints it’s awesome. I can’t get it to continuously print though. I have to reboot my computer every time I need to print. I am sure it’s a setting that needs to be changed. Any fixes from the hip2save community would be great.
Nancy- I purchased this printer a few months ago and i was pleasantly surprised when i called Brother’s customer service for help installing. It was the best customer service i have ever received via phone with any company. If you call they can help you quickly 🙂
I have the same problem and I’m trying to figure it out. We usually have to close our computer or restart our modem and then it will print. However it has saved me so much money on ink! I love this laser printer! Hopefully one day I’ll figure out how to get it to print continuously and get that setting fixed also.
I have it & am able to print fine, but I can’t get the scanning function to work. Thinking of uninstalling & reinstalling the driver on my computer, but haven’t had a chance to do any research on the problem. Does anyone have experience we this?
The Brother HLL2300D doesn’t have a scanner.
We just got the HL-L2340DW for the holidays (almost the same but connects over wifi). Not sure how much my hubby paid for it, but it seems to be $86.24 today. I have no complaints so far!
I was interested in the wireless but was wondering if it’s ever been cheaper?

Love this printer. Never have a coupon that won’t scan. Saved us so much money in ink. Toner lasts longer and is cheaper per print.
Does this come with the toner cartridge?
Yes, a starter cartridge which will net you a few hundred copies. Get the Brother OEM on Amazon or the generic on Ebay for a few $$ (TN660 or TN630)
This thing is a workhorse, fast and toner lasts forever, saving tons of money. Going on 4yrs with this printer, converted from ink jet and will never own another printer or brand. Awesome!!

Everyone who has this printer or another Brother like, should go toYouTube & look up “brother printer cartridge reset.”
he printer will stop printing when it deems the cartridge is “low,” but I’ve printed thee times as many copies thank to the youtube “hacks”.
Yes…. I use these same hacks and my cartridge will print at least double the number of copies and this was with generic cheap toners from amazon.
I have been eyeing the wireless version for a while now… can anyone tell me if the wireless is worth the extra money ($89.99)? Can you print from an iPad from this model?
I have the wireless and i print from my ipad….there is a coupons.com app that allows me too.People earlier said that it was on HP that allowed you to print but i can and yes i would pay extra for wireless.
Yes, I paid a bit more (84 at staples deal? ) and got the wireless. And worth it. We downloaded the brother app and can print from that.
I’m holding out for the wireless version too. You can definitely get them for less than $89.99 if you’re patient.
This printer is a beast! I love it. I print a ton of coupons and ebay labels and the toner lasts and lasts. The print speed and quality is far superior to an ink jet.
I’ve had this printer for over a year now & I have yet to replace the toner! I did get a toner low warning so I ordered a new cartridge but I reset my old one as instructed and it’s still printing! I have no idea how many sheets I have printed but I know it’s tons! I’ve printed a lot of chalkboard prints, coupons, and school papers. I have saved SO much money on ink!

Just wanted to let you all know – I personally have this printer, and I LOVE IT!!! I buy toner only once per year (best price on that is Amazon – it’s around $20 or $25 for one). Never had any problems with it, and we’ve had it for around 4 years, now.
I have this printer as well and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. However, I’m not in the market for a color, wireless printer for my kids to use for school projects and such. Any suggestions???

I bought this printer last year, it save $$$.
I buy the generic brand and it only cost $27 per cartridge (powder ink). Worth buying this printer, it did took a bit of time to set up.
I’ve had a similar model for what seems like forever and like everyone says, it is great. For my model I have been able to get my toner cartridges for $10 on ebay generic, and will never go back to an inkjet printer. Only now am I thinking of getting a color and wireless model to use with our ipads, and sometimes the kids need color prints for school projects. Does anyone know how much the generic color toners usually run? I love brother but have heard that samsung has a good color wireless laser printer as well. Any experiece with either of these?
